Feb 7, 2012My spouse and I are both experiencing frequent start up of the Voice Command function when listening to our music library. Also the phone will repeatedly dial the last number call when listening to music as well.

To try yourself, use voice commands and say "Set alarm for 5:25 PM" or "Set timer for three minutes." It will show a created alarm, you can see it in your list of alarms, but nothing happens when the alarm should go off.

Nov 27, 2012I'm using a RAZR MAXX HD with the Motorola vehicle dock. I've enabled the Smart Actions for turning on Vehicle Mode when I drop it in the dock, and I like this for the most part. When I get a text message, a popup notifies me that I've received one, and prompts me to "Say listen to hear this message." However, I've only been able to get the damn thing to recognize me saying "listen" once, out of several dozen times this has happened. I don't have an accent (I'm from California) and have a fairly loud voice. Any tricks to getting this to work? I've tried louder, quieter, faster, slower, weird pronunciations, cursing at it... no luck!
I'm pretty certain it's actually picking up me saying "listen" because I see a little popup bubble on the screen saying something like "Waiting for speech" then after I speak it will show "listen listen listen".
For what it's worth, voice input seems to work just fine in any native Google app (search, navigation). It's just the (Moto?) Vehicle Mode ones that hardly ever work.

May 9, 2012I would like to know if I can use voice commands to dial a call and then dial into an extension or conference number. I often take conference calls while I am driving and being able to get into the conference room without manually dialing would be great.

Feb 3, 2013First, the only one that I'm allowed to choose to map to the double click home key is Voice Commands. If that isn't annoying enough, I also can not figure out how to access Voice Search at all, and Google Now requires actually interacting with the device to launch (I'm going for a handsfree/bluetooth solution here).
Second, Voice Commands is missing functionality. It has a "goto" feature, but it never works. It says I have to set up the shortcuts in the settings. However when I go into settings there is nothing there for setting up the shortcuts. Sometimes if I hit it just right I can tap the GoTo button and it takes me to a list of functions and I am able to select it, and it works for a little while, but inevitably when I go back to use it again the GoTo function is once again dead. I know this because instead of opening navigation or maps or Google Now (as I had set up before) it constantly prompts me to call someone or cancel, or some other function that is NOT GoTo. At least if I could change the default behavior of what launches I could work around this frustration by using Google Now or even a 3rd party application, but my menu has predefined choices and none of them are Google Now or 3rd party.

Mar 20, 2012When using the dock, lets just say for sat nav, when i get a text message through it comes up on screen saying "Say Listen to hear the message". When i say "listen" nothing happens, its the same for everything, any time the dock pops up a message saying "say this to answer or listen or whatever" nothing happens.

Jul 2, 2012Weird glitch I noticed in the first 2-3 days post ICS. Everything seems to be normal with the phone, except for the fact that when I plug it into a charger, this will automatically trigger the device to start playing the same song. The song plays all the way through once and then ends, after which everything is normal again. While the song is playing, I can't determine which program is responsible for playing the music so that I can stop it. There is no app or icon that pops up to indicate that music is being played, it's just as if the music is being conjured out of thin air. If I try playing a track on either Google Music or My Music during this time, the second track will start playing at the same time as the first, almost as if the software doesn't recognize that another song is already playing.
Again, this only occurs when I plug the phone into a charger. Happens consistently whether it's a wall charger, usb or car charger. I've been searcing like crazy through Settings and Smart Actions to see what's causing it, but have come up empty so far. Tried rebooting a few times (both hard and soft reset), clearing out the cache....everything except a factory reset which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've been scrolling through various message boards but haven't seen any examples of this yet.

Jun 13, 2011had my Atrix for 4 days and love it (after returning an iPhone 4 after 3 weeks). I've also spent 4 days trying to figure out why I can't get my properly paired Atrix and handsfree speakerphone to voice dial at the touch of a button on the visor. Motorola's website of Atrix accessories says that it should work. I've tried several models and brands, and none worked properly. Today I found the solution! The Atrix won't voice dial if the phone is sleeping/locked.Once you enter your passcode or fingerprint, it works flawlessly.

Jul 1, 2012i remembered that being a standout feature of our phone, and while at home on wi fi (i have a 15mbps up and down fiber connection) netflix is just not playing back in the same quality that it used to.before i felt like video playback was almost on par with guys running 720p screens with higher ppi's...(rezound/gnex), at least within this particular app. but now? it looks like any other Internet vid with the quality on high (which imo still isnt all that great and still not as good as going to the desktop site and watching a vid set to 720 or 1080).no other phone was ever touted as having this ability (though i'm sure the rezound and gnex can) and a lot of it had to do with the omap processor being used...is something up with ics thats not letting it happen? or was it the most recent netflix update that supports 4.1?

Jan 23, 2012Is anyone else having an issue where the GPS indicator blinks non-stop (indicating the phone is actively using GPS) every time you start the phone (reboot)?
Anytime I cycle the phone, the GPS searches and apparently does not stop. If I use the GPS Toggle widget (the included one) and toggle it off and then on, it stops until an application uses it.
I have checked and do not see an app that would use GPS starting automatically. If I can, I will be reporting it to the developer.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Freezing Screen While Playing Games
Nov 24, 2011The 2 games that I play most often, at least at this time, are Angry Birds and Hungry Shark. I have noticed that while I am playing that the screen will just freeze for about 3-5 seconds. There is no specific time when this happens, but it does happenevery 1-5 minutes. When the screen freezes the sound continues. This happens multiple times during game play.
I find this rather strange and would like to know if anyone else has noticed this. When I first noticed it in Hungry Shark, I thought maybe it was a problem with the game, but then I started playing Angry Birds and I was seeing the same behavior. I have to believe that this is a hardware or OS conflict since it is happening in multiple apps. I don't remember seeing any notifications or phone calls when this happens.

However sometimes when I plug in the charger the status led blinks once but then the charging screen does not start and charging does not start - I have noticed that if I then press the power on button the charging screen starts up and charging commences. Is this normal?

Oct 20, 2011When I try to use a voice command application such as Google's Voice Search or Vlingo the phones microphone is disabled. Both applications run an animation that lets you know that the phone is "hearing". I receive no indication that the mic is active. However, if I plug my (Non-Mic) headphones into the Triumphs jack the voice recognition comes alive. This lasts for one command though. If I try to voice a second command I again get no response. At this point pulling the headphones out of the jack again activates the voice application for one command.

Dec 1, 2012I was running GB on my phone since I purchased. Battery life was fine. Used upto a complete day with normal usage and heavy usage lead me to end up around 12 - 15 hours. It is normal. After few day of usage (About 2 weeks) I found battery starts to drain faster. Ok then I gave a factory reset. Oh amazing, I got the battery life back same as when I purchased,After a month I recieved update of ICS. Wow it was fantastic. It gave me the creeps. My normal usage went a day + . after a week I feld the same battery drain issue. What I could guess? guessed it might be a problem of installing more and more apps. Ok from this point onward, I was aware and wanted to check it out. Gave a factory reset again. fueled the battery to its maximum.
Installed any software the I must need. Oh I could not believe. see the screen shot how my normal usage was.. (1 day + 19 H) same devil has came back after a week.Battery started to drain fast. See the screenshot I got now. It shows 50% usage for last 6-7 hours. As to my calculation depends on best usage, it shoule be only 20 to 30 percentage. what's the hell is going on ??

PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.

I have disabled and reenabled maps. Nothing helps. After several days with Jelly Bean I am becoming more and more convinced that ICS was a better OS.
