Motorola Droid Razr :: No Access To All Contact While Dialing
Jun 30, 2012No longer have access to all of my contacts while in the dialer. Only recent calls and favorite contacts. This is really frigging inconvenient.

Motorola Droid Razr :: Phone Icon For Direct Dialing?
Sep 15, 2012Way back when, when I had the original Droid, there was a plain phone icon for the direct dial short cut in the original software before the first upgrade. It was the shape of an old style telephone handset, the kind you'd find on a pay phone (for those of you who know what that is/was). I'd like to find one like that again and replace the tiny contact face pic with the various symbols and shading covering it of the native direct dial icon.

Nov 25, 2012if I dial a contact via the Razr's voice command using my Bluetooth headset, the call connects, but neither party can hear audio. If I dial by selecting the contact manually, using the same Bluetooth headset, the call connects normally and audio is fine.The headset is a Jabra 250 and I don't have easy access to another Bluetooth device at the moment. Can't tell if this is a sw or hw issue on the Razr or the headset (which is an older model but still works just fine with original Droid Razr).

Jan 3, 2013Unless I'm missing something, a comma no longer functions as a pause in the dialing system for a saved contact since the update. It used to be handy for dialing extension numbers, authorization codes etc. but they seem to be ignored after the update. There is also no apparent way to edit a phone number with any character other than the ones on the dialpad.

Jan 25, 2012I am facing a very frustrating problem. Sometimes when I create/edit a contact and hit save, then search for that contact in my contacts I can't find it!! Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. That problem is not only frustrating, but also embarassing, especially when you are entering a new friend's contact while showing off your phone

Dec 3, 2015I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?

Jul 1, 2012After updating to ICS, I can't access Motoprint. It is in my list of all apps, and that is the only place it appears. I hard rebooted phone without success, and also installed updates, and reinstalled them, hard rebooted again, all without success. Do I need to start from scratch and do a factory reset?

Jan 14, 2012When using the Droid Razr as a hot spot for my Zoom I cannot access Yahoo.com and a few other sites. When connecting using a conventional wireless hot spot there is no problems. Also tested using an HTC 4gLTE and there was no problems. The issue is specific to the Verizon/Motorola Razr Hot Spot. There seem so be an MTU issue with many sites when only using a Droid Razr as a hot spot, The Razr connects directly to all the sites but the Hot Spot function will not allow certain sites. After repeated calls and Google Searches I found a tech that amited that Verizon / Motorola Droid Razr has an issue with accessing certain sites only in the Hot Spot App. They plan to correct in the next update hopefully in Feb 2012. They suggested the the fix is in Beta. Some of the sites that don't connect are Yahoo.com and Yahoo.mail Microsoft.com some Apple sites. There are more but I didn't have pen at the time.

Jun 8, 2012I have over 3000 contacts. When entering a name in the search field, the Razr only seems to search for the FIRST word in a contact field. Because I have so many contacts, I input key words in contact fields. Either in first name, last name or company. I may have the persons name in the last & first name fields and in the company field I may input their company name and or simply input several key words to remember them by... such as where I met them, how I remember them, etc. Now, my iphone will search for ANY of these words in the contacts fields, however my new Razr seems to only pick up the FIRST WORD in each field. With as many contacts as I have, I cannot depend on searching this way! COME ON!?, Really? Am I doing something wrong?

I was wondering if there's any way to access search from the lock screen - the Jelly Bean FAQs mention that it's possible to access voice search by "swiping up on the lock screen", but that doesn't seem to work. Is it just not possible with the Razr HDs software, or am I missing something very obvious?

Nov 30, 2012On my previous Andorid device, Froyo running on an HTC Desire, I was able to insert a puase field in a phone number. That way, I can use my long distance provider, that requires the user to call their number, wait for the prompt, then enter the long distance number I wish to dial. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any way to do this on my new phone, as the phone numbre imput pad only allows for numbers and nothing else (the pause would normally be a comma or the letter p).
