way to remove or edit the "name" of a camera tag?
I know how to add and remove tags but I added several tags manually (they weren't existing contacts) and now every time I try to add a tag, I see those manually added names in the list of thumbnails and I cant get rid of them?
I want to edit the sim on my atrix using my laptop

Also, if I try to delete a contact that was imported though facebook, I get a message that says "cannot delete files from read only accounts" Is there any way to get rid of facebook and all of the facebook contacts on my Atrix? Or, do I have to reset my phone to factory?

Which I'm only guessing is necessary because My Music and My Photos are so heavily integrated with it... But what about the users who really don't want/use these features?I have all of the sharing features turned off...because I don't have a social networking account synced to my phone. However, I notice that the facebook app is always running, and consumes anywhere from 40 to 80 mb's of ram.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to remove my old MySpace account from the My Accounts section of MotoBlur, but it is not working.
When I go into my accounts, I don't see an icon for MySpace any more (I understand that MotoBlur is no longer compatible with MySpace). Instead, I see a green icon with my MySpace account email. Below the email is [URL]. When I try to remove this account, it just stays there.
The MySpace information is still embedded in my contacts as well. Is there a workaround to get this removed?
I inadvertently activated the AT&T address book when I first got the Atrix 2..not knowing that I even had an AT&T address book account.I called AT&T and they deleted the account and any associated contacts with it on their end,however, they had no clue how to remove the account from the phone and said it was a Motorola issue.I deleted all contacts off my phone and now my contacts are just synced with Google(all AT&T address book contacts are gone) but the option to sync with AT&T address book is still an option in settings.The account shows up with a "locked" symbol next to it.

There appears to be no way to Edit or Delete APN's already on the phone?? No little '..' to press on at the bottom right. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe stock camera for my Motorola atrix 4g is not functioning. When I pull up the camera or even the camcorder. The screen is black. As if there is something blocking the lens. The camera overlays are present. The shutter button and zoom in and out keys. After awhile,I get an error message "Camera unable to initialize" I then have to force close. There is nothing blocking the lens. I thought it was a software issue. I've tried everything. Factory date reset twice. Tried different camera software, removed the battery,power cycles. Nothing works. Everything else functions properly. I've been scouring the internet for a solution. There is no solution, only complaints from other android users with the same issue. I think it's a hardware issue. 4G Camera won't initialize
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo today my phone got super hot. So hot that the screen on the top right corner got black und I received a warning that the phone is going into cool down mode. I shut it down and removed the battery to let it cool down.
But now the camera doen't work anymore and the screen stays black when I open a camera app.
Also, it still tends to get hot even when it is turned off and the battery is inserted.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI bought the Atrix 2 today.Initial thoughts, the screen looks really nice, the soft rubber back feels better then the Atrix 1. I got the same internet speeds as the Atrix 1. Camera button convenient though pressing it doesnt launch camera app. On the Atrix 2 internal memory isnt accessible, even hooking up to pc you cant browse it, so you need a SD card to put music and videos, etc on it.HDMI mirroring worked as expected. I think the MHL mirroring from the SGS2 was better quality though.

I have to hit emergency call, then the PIN screen appears, then the emergency dialer appears, and I have to hit "back" and the PIN screen appears again. While the screen is black tapping on anything doesn't work except the silent slider. I have the button press developer option enabled for anyone who wonders why the dots are there. The face unlock had been working fine for several days.

Very happy with this phone.After the last upgrate of Android (2.3.4), I started having problems with the camera. Sometimes, I get the following message:"Sorry! The application Camera (process com.motorola.Camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".The only option is to click on "Force close". However, I can try as many times I want to run the camera app and I keep getting the same message, and not being able to use the camera at all. The only solution is to restart my cell phone which is very inconvinient.

Since then some of the settings in the Camera app have disappeared. View 1 Replies View RelatedToday may be the first time I attempted to transfer photos from my Atrix to the PC. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64bit. After connection via cable, I select USB Mass Storage for the USB connection. Windows throws up a box that asks "Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk?" I select "continue without scanning. In Windows Explorer there appear to be far fewer folders on the card than when viewing in Astro, but I did not do an exhaustive check. Of immediate concern is that the Camera folder is not visible under DCIM, thus I can't retrieve my photos over the cable. Should I back up the card directly to the PC via microSD adapter then let Windows scan and fix next time over cable?

The customer service guy told me he is sending the problem up the latter and is confident that it will be addressed with the next firmware update. He said there were a few people having the same problem. I'm not ready to get rid of this phone, but the camera/video camera are not on the same level with other 8mp/1080 p recording devices.

And the bad thing is after the 5 overheat my Camera does not work any more which is a problem because the is my most used feature. My aunt said the reason it overheats is because its trying hard to look for signal. No mods, no root, only one sideloaded app.
