Motorola XPRT :: Camera Only Takes Black And White Pictures?
Jun 6, 2012I have had th xprt only for 7 days so I'm still learning about it. This morning, I took 3 pictures and they all came out black and white! Before today, the phone was taking pictures in color. What happened? The only thing I've done differently was that yesterday, the phone froze for about 2 hours when I clicked on an application. I had to take the battery out to restart the phone. This morning, the phone will only take black and white pictures.

May 19, 2012So today my phone got super hot. So hot that the screen on the top right corner got black und I received a warning that the phone is going into cool down mode. I shut it down and removed the battery to let it cool down.
But now the camera doen't work anymore and the screen stays black when I open a camera app.
Also, it still tends to get hot even when it is turned off and the battery is inserted.

Feb 15, 2012I've had an Atrix2 since Mid-Nov.2011, and have really had no problems with it so far except a couple apps freezing and having to reboot the phone. But just recently, when I have had to reboot the phone (y'know just cuz u need to reboot a computer sometimes to make it work better) the ringtones I have set as the main ringtone and the notification sounds get reset to random mp3 songs I have downloaded on the phone. It's a different one every time this has happened, too. It doesn't even reset to the AT&T tone that it came with. I have two apps that may affect it. "Zedge Ringtones" and "MP3 Ringtone Maker." This also happened the other day but didn't notice it till my alarm went off to wake up in the AM. The audio for THAT was not was previously set. So, I really don't know HOW this is happening. I do have an aftermarket alarm app called "Alarm Clock Plus." (I have a separate issue with the factory alarm app for another thread)

Mar 10, 2012I am having trouble with my fiancee's Motoactv which I gave to her as a gift this past Christmas. It looks like the backlight is no longer working, and the device is stuck in a black and white mode. She can see the display (without color) when outside in the sunlight, but indoors or at night it is completely unreadable. We've updated the device with the most current firmware, and made sure that it is fully charged, but nothing seems to help.

Jun 15, 2010If you're wanting to wait a month and see if white is released, might as well buy black then return if white comes. Now that you can't order white, are you going to go black instead? I mean they both have advantages...white shows less fingerprints and appears more "clean", but black makes video look better on the screen and is more sleek, and also probably won't show as much dirt.

Jan 21, 2013My phone used to keep a charge for THREE days...it was wonderful! Now since the update, I have to charge it every day even if it's just standby. Plus, if I'm on a call with the screen turned off, when an incoming call comes in, I am unable to turn the screen back on in order to answer. Plus, sometimes the phone is so sensitive that when the face is pressed up against it, it goes haywire and cancels out a call. The sensitivity is way too high. I am using Straight Talk as my provider so is there a way, I can remove all the AT&T stuff? And which ones do I not need? I don't like a lot of bloatware on my phone.

Jul 4, 2012The stock camera for my Motorola atrix 4g is not functioning. When I pull up the camera or even the camcorder. The screen is black. As if there is something blocking the lens. The camera overlays are present. The shutter button and zoom in and out keys. After awhile,I get an error message "Camera unable to initialize" I then have to force close. There is nothing blocking the lens. I thought it was a software issue. I've tried everything. Factory date reset twice. Tried different camera software, removed the battery,power cycles. Nothing works. Everything else functions properly. I've been scouring the internet for a solution. There is no solution, only complaints from other android users with the same issue. Oct 16, 2011I bought the Atrix 2 today.Initial thoughts, the screen looks really nice, the soft rubber back feels better then the Atrix 1. I got the same internet speeds as the Atrix 1. Camera button convenient though pressing it doesnt launch camera app. On the Atrix 2 internal memory isnt accessible, even hooking up to pc you cant browse it, so you need a SD card to put music and videos, etc on it.HDMI mirroring worked as expected. I think the MHL mirroring from the SGS2 was better quality though.

I have to hit emergency call, then the PIN screen appears, then the emergency dialer appears, and I have to hit "back" and the PIN screen appears again. While the screen is black tapping on anything doesn't work except the silent slider. I have the button press developer option enabled for anyone who wonders why the dots are there. The face unlock had been working fine for several days.

Sometimes, I get the following message:"Sorry! The application Camera (process com.motorola.Camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".The only option is to click on "Force close". However, I can try as many times I want to run the camera app and I keep getting the same message, and not being able to use the camera at all. The only solution is to restart my cell phone which is very inconvinient.
