Motorola Atrix :: Black Screen Border Appearing In Certain Apps?

Certain apps and games are giving a black border along the left right and bottom sides of the screen (about 1cm). I know it is not the apps, because they all work fine on MY atrix. How can I solve this problem, or do I need to return his Atrix to Bell for a replacement?

is there any way to get rid of the black border that surrounds certain apps. The border plus the ads that are already in the app make it too small.

I always noticed a very subtle shading about a half-inch wide around the screen of my Xoom. In the last few days, I've noticed that it's much more pronounced, particularly on a blue background. It's very distracting when watching videos. I've tried various players, formats, etc...but I even see it on the home screen if I have a blue background set. Is my screen defective?

how I can move my apps to surround the middle of the screen instead of falling in behind one another. I have a background I'd like to be able to see the middle, so of there is a way to keep my apps at the sides and top I would be happy.

There is now a pale whitish band around the perimeter of the display maybe a 1/4" wide. The band feathers slightly to produce a fine white line along its inside border. I see it on the home screen and any other time there is a dark background. It is especially noticeable with the gray background of the settings-display-brightness screen and similar.

My phone used to keep a charge for THREE days...it was wonderful! Now since the update, I have to charge it every day even if it's just standby. Plus, if I'm on a call with the screen turned off, when an incoming call comes in, I am unable to turn the screen back on in order to answer. Plus, sometimes the phone is so sensitive that when the face is pressed up against it, it goes haywire and cancels out a call. The sensitivity is way too high. I am using Straight Talk as my provider so is there a way, I can remove all the AT&T stuff? And which ones do I not need? I don't like a lot of bloatware on my phone.

I had over half a charge after sending a text message yesterday around 3pm. I looked at the phone at 4:30 and the screen was black and the device doesn't respond. I removed the battery and put it back to no avail. If I plug it in, the green light comes on - the Motorola splash screen displays - then a battery meter displays.

I have chosen a semi light background. Problem is i cannot see the icon's text. The ZMAX had a black border around the text and i loved it. It made having light backgrounds like this possible.How do I get that black border around the text of the icons so i can see what I'm doing? Ice looked on other webpages that say go to Accessibility options for text contrast but I have had no luck.I'm on a Pyramid Head kick and love this background but cannot read the text in the icons!

When I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

I have an Exchange account set up on my Atrix and for some reason not all of the events in my Exchange calendar get synced to the phone. I see some of them but not others which is frustrating as I can't view all of my appointments on the phone.
I have the same account setup on another Android phone which uses Cyanogenmod 7 which has the stock calendar and can I view all the events there so it is definitely an issue related to MotoBlur and the Atrix calendar. I've tried removing the Exchange account and readding it and resyncing but it didn't make any difference.

I have recently updated my Bell Atrix to the latest version that came out. I did it OTA and everything went great. Some applications appear much smaller on the screen than they should. For example WeatherEye appears as if it were zoomed out. It also happens the same way with Swiftkey X beta, which shows up about 1/2 as big as it should.

So today my phone got super hot. So hot that the screen on the top right corner got black und I received a warning that the phone is going into cool down mode. I shut it down and removed the battery to let it cool down.
But now the camera doen't work anymore and the screen stays black when I open a camera app.
Also, it still tends to get hot even when it is turned off and the battery is inserted.

I have a iphone 3g and I am having big problems accessing my apps. Everytime I go to use a app e.g facebook or ebay the scrieen goes black and then goes back to the home screen. It also seems to be taking forever to got to make a phone call. What can I do as one of the main reasons for getting this phone was using the apps

You see that blue border around my screen? I just downloaded and was playing the Radiohead Polyfauna app when this suddenly surrounded my screen. It is permanently fixed to my screen; doesn't matter the app, doesn't matter the task. Especially annoying when I type is it forms a little drop down border to surround every letter I touch in turn. I really want it gone.

I got a problem on my iphone 5s, it got the green border around of my iPhone 5s's screen. It just will show clearly when the my iPhone 5s's screen in white color. I tried to power off my iPhone 5s after noticed it. But don't solve the problem. Will it effect to my iPhone? isn't that is the problem of the software? Just been wondering about the stupid border around the screen when watching a YouTube video in landscape mode. It's the border with the 3 dots on the right which indicate home, back, and previous tasks button, and the top border with the time and everything.. It's annoying because it blocks some of the video of there something going on on the top or right side. Sometimes I can sail it away and it'll go away. Other times its stuck there..
Is there a specific setting to disable it, or a certain gesture?

My app won't load it was working earlier but now it won't. I turned the phone off and turn it back off. Killed all the apps and uninstalled it and reinstalled a few minutes later. Now it's just showing a black screen but when I go to kill them the screen is there but I click on it and it goes black again.

I type quickly (or pressing one button repeatedly quickly) and, often the screen would get a blue margin around the screen, and it gets into a weird mode, sort of a pseudo frozen state. I'd have to press the home button repeatedly to get out of that strange mode.

In every picture I take with the HTC one m8 I get a tiny black spot in each photo. Problem has been there a few months but I can't define when exactly. Bought the phone in April and have had issues with the camera haze that have now been fixed.

So I recently unbricked my AT&T S5 with OC4 Stock Modem and Kernel. Everything was working perfectly fine until I clicked software update. The update downloaded and started to install, but after that it goes into recovery mode and ended up failed to update. The phone then reboots to the at&t logo screen, then to a black screen with error messages such as "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped", "Unfortunately, Media Storage has stopped" and "Unfortunately, setting has stopped".... I pressed the power button to see if I can go to emergency mode, but it will give me another one of those error message "Unfortunately, Emergency recovery manger has stopped" or something like that. What can I do to fix this?

So I recently have been having problems with my phone and its screen not turning on. Its the original droid and I guess alot have people have had this problem. But I am at a fork in the road:(this is the thrid time the screen has done this)Last night I went to check my phone and it appeared to be off, my power button does not work so I have to plug it in to turn it on. But the charger light was on so that meant the phone was already on. the buttons lit up still as well. Being this is not the first time I took the battery out for about an hour and put it back in, plugged it in, and still nothing. The M sign that comes up when you first turn it on doesen't appear and neither does anything else on the screen. But when i recieved a call I could answer the call like the screen was working but still was not on. I left the battery out all night from 8pm-6am and still nothing but i can still answer the calls. Left it out until 2 this afternoon and still nothing. I have no idea what to do.

My ATRIX2 goes "process system is not responding" and then goes black within around 2 minutes of starting, but only if my SD card is plugged in.Symptoms:If I remove the SD card, everything is fine, browsing, facebook, gaming, no problem.If SD card is plugged in, it would shows "process system is not responding", and after 1 minute or 2, the phone goes black, and I can only try to hold the power button, for it to repeat the same situation again. During that short period, the phone might not show wallpaper at lock screen, might not load widget, might show "bootup trapped:android.intent.action.BOOT_COMPLETED", might have the clock become 00:00, might be able to let me get in setting, might have some apps say they stopped working, might show notification list but with nothing in it.
The phone is just 3 days new, and I didn't do any of those risky "root" operation nor install "Unknown source" app. All I did was just install a lot of apps from Market. The SD card is a KINGSTON 8GB CLASS10. Also, I thought the phone should have 8gb ROM but I only see around 4 shows up.

I just discovered that my atrix aloud me to uninstall at&t apps. Before the new update it was not possible, but somehow it aloud me. I am on the most current firmware. Can someone respond with an explanation (mark). Ill post pictures tomorrow, but until then you'll have to take my word for it
