I have recently updated my Bell Atrix to the latest version that came out. I did it OTA and everything went great. Some applications appear much smaller on the screen than they should. For example WeatherEye appears as if it were zoomed out. It also happens the same way with Swiftkey X beta, which shows up about 1/2 as big as it should.
View 11 RepliesI use the app "Snycmypix" so I can link my contacts with their photos on facebook. Before the 2.3.4 update, the app worked fine and was full screen. Now, it take about a little more than 1/4 of my screen. Any know whats up with that, and if Moto is aware of it and working on a fix?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone only seems to show full screen video with the top of the video on the volume button sides and the bottom where the charger hooks in. Is this the norm? When I rotate to put the charger on top (aka, so I can charge the battery while doing something so battery draining), nothing happens, the video won't rotate. (This was flash emedded video on a web page.)

My question/ observation deals with video play. Some sites show "postage stamp" that can be stretched while others show full screen automatically. Am I missing a setting to ensure full screen at all times?

View 2 Replies View RelatedPhone, FaceTime and Find My Friends in iOS show full names of your contacts. I cannot find a setting to show nicknames instead. You can show nicknames instead of full names in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Short Name > Prefer Nicknames only for Messages, but not for Phone, FaceTime and Find My Friends. I know editing the contacts would do the job. But it would be very dodgy as nobody's first or last name is 'Mum', 'Uncle Bob' or 'Shaggy'. Is there a way to show nicknames instead of full names in Phone, FaceTime and Find My Friends?

I cannot find a way to get an Android app that runs successfully on my Atrix to display anywhere on the LapDock screen - except in the small "Mobile View" window. One reason for buying the LapDock was to run apps with more screen real-estate. The AT&T store guy assured me the phone+lapdock combo could do that, pointing to the browser and the file manager.
If they cannot do that - or the APIs to allow that are "unavailable", that is an overwhelmingly disappointing product restriction.
When I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

I installed the OTA 2.3.6 update last night and now my phone never shuts the screen off automatically. I've tried resetting the timeout period, but no luck. Something is keep it awake after the update.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter my Atrix was updated last week, I have been having problems (as with many others, it seems). My most glaring issues is that the screen does not go 'inactive' when I place a phone call and put the phone up to my ear.
Consequently, my cheek will press all sorts of buttons on the phone while I'm talking, and may times it turns out to be the Mute or EndCall button. When the End Call is hit, the phone actually locks up and needs to be rebooted.
It basically makes me have to place all of my phone calls on speakerphone in order to be useful.
Since the latest update, system version 4.5.91 android version 2.3.4, Bluetooth voice commands will no longer unlock the screen. Therefore, voice commands will not work until you manually unlock the screen. This is a recipe for disaster when using in the car! I've found several other complaints like this, but have found no solutions from Motorola. Under location and security settings I have enabled Allow Bluetooth Bypass, however this has no effect. I have turned phone off and back on. I have disconnected Bluetooth devices and reconnected, but problem still exists. The whole point of having Bluetooth in the car is the ability to make phone calls without reaching for or looking at the phone for increased safety.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to 2.3.4, I am not able to change screen lock to "pattern". Option for "Pattern" is disabled and says Disabled by remote phone administrator. I tried de-selecting all the apps listed in Device Administrators but no luck. I even removed my work email (Corporate Sync) and then restarted the phone...again...no luck. Right now I have PIN and Fingerprint setup.

Now, I receive the full screen photo on one of my contacts, but everyone else has changed to a small banner at the top of the screen, with a very small photo in the top right corner. I am getting a SIM card full notification just about daily. I have noticed no functionality failure. I have deleted all contacts from the SIM card. The phone at preset has exactly two SMS messges showing in handcent and is displaying about 15 emails in the gmail applet. I am sure I am missing something.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Atrix on AT&T. I've called technical support multiple times but still have the issue. In my apartment, my phone shows full bars but when I dial a call out, the phone will hang up right away. Other times it will hang itself up and error "call failed".
I've been to the corporate store where they have given me a new SIM card, but it still does not fix my issue. I am trying to figure out if this is a hardware or network issue so I can contact the right people to have the issue fixed.
If my phone is showing full bars that means I have network coverage.
I'm having a senior moment, I choose the option to "auto show dial pad", and now I don't remember how to turn it off. Does anyone know how?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn 1.83, a Contact will show as many phone numbers as I entered for it.But on 2.3.4, if one of the numbers is non-standard, like "*82-1-800-555-1212" (entered without the hyphens, of course), it doesn't show up under that contact. It still stores it, but I can't use it, can't dial with it, etc...Is there any way around this bugEdit: It shows up okay, if it's the *only* number for that Contact. But if there's another one (formatted normally), the non standard one doesn't show.
