My phone only seems to show full screen video with the top of the video on the volume button sides and the bottom where the charger hooks in. Is this the norm? When I rotate to put the charger on top (aka, so I can charge the battery while doing something so battery draining), nothing happens, the video won't rotate. (This was flash emedded video on a web page.)

how to activate the full screen keyboard on my photon while I'm using the hd dock? I have a wireless mouse, and I'm waiting for a keyboard but for some reason, I can't figure out how to bring up the full screen keyboard on the actual photon while I'm using the hd dock. I know it can be done because I saw it at the sprint store and I read of others doing it but all the searching I've done hasn't lead me to an answer. To clarify, I'm trying to figure out how to bring the keyboard up on the photon screen so I can type in web top mode until my regular keyboard arrives.

Some applications appear much smaller on the screen than they should. For example WeatherEye appears as if it were zoomed out. It also happens the same way with Swiftkey X beta, which shows up about 1/2 as big as it should.
View 11 Replies View Relatedok i am bored at work finished my stuff early i must kill 30 minutes. anyways i get on Internet to watch some hdnet fights my phone that im still waiting for its replacement to get here as usual battery down to 40% witih little use. i have to put it to charge im thinking cool the charging hookup is on the left side so i can lay phone on therightet side and watch videos cable pointing up. well it plays full screen upside down why put the usb port on the side and not let video play in full screen landscape mode with usb port facing up. is there a way to fix this because its so lame. i have to hold the phone rather than lat it there because the usb crable is in the way when trying to watch in landscape mode. in top of it my touchscreen is still acting erratic while charging.

Some of the pages I visit will show in mobile view even if I go to the page without typing " m. (etc).com". On my Htc Evo there was the option to just view web pages in full in not in mobile. Can the photon be set that way?? If so how can I do it.

I noticed that whenever I am making/receiving calls, the screen flashes every few seconds. I wonder why it is doing that. I have never seen this on any other phone before. At first I thought it was related only to the silent call issue that the screen flashes every few seconds but even when I am able to make a regular call it still does this.

Now, I receive the full screen photo on one of my contacts, but everyone else has changed to a small banner at the top of the screen, with a very small photo in the top right corner. View 4 Replies View RelatedOpen facebook via the fb-app. Go, for instance, to an unilad article with a videoclip. Click on the link and a new page opens with a video from youtube. Click the play button and the video starts and no problem. Click the full screen icon and turn the phone to the side and the video maximizes and fills the screen and stops almost immediately. Reset and clear cache for the apps involved and the video (and all other videos for that matter) runs for a minute or so then the phone hangs fully. Have to remove battery as phone is unresponsive. How to look for the reason for this? Videos do not freeze if not maximized. Videos directly on youtube/vimeo does not freeze.

I have a Photon with the latest software update. I haven't bothered reporting this problem before but it has existed since I got the phone.My contacts are stored on an exchange server. For many of friends, family, and coworkers I have added a contact photo. These contact photos work on:
EVO
EVO 3D
Epic 4g Touch
iPhone
Outlook
iPad
Galaxy
but they do not work on the Photon. By not work, I simply mean that the photos exist on the server, and when I txt or call anyone whose contact has a photo stored, the photo does not show up for almost all of my contacts that have photos in them. Curiously, there are two contacts that display photos, but I don't know why. I would like the photos to be displayed for all contacts like all of my other devices do. i did move my applications from another phone to this phone using a MyBackupPro.
I have my search function configured to show apps, but when I do a search apps don't actually show up (most of the time) unless I hit the button in the search dialog and then select Apps. Other search types (e.g., contacts) seem to work fine.

When watching any video on my S2 (either downloaded or streaming) the video itself is very small in the centre of the screen. This wasn't always the case with it though. I think I must have dozed off watching something the other evening, leaving my finger on the screen, and now the "video ratio" icon that should be on the bar with the play, rwd and ffwd icons is no longer there!
Whatever I try, I cannot get the icon back or reset the video to maximise itself on screen.
I'm totally confused that my photon 4g does have native call app or not meaning like wise in samsung mobile it shows video call option whenever im calling to anyone but my photon doesnt showing any option lyk tht...Please Provide necessary details regarding native call app on my contacts how to enable it in my photon

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1.1 with a really strange issue that has persisted even through a full reset. I've found similar threads but I've never found a thread where an issue is throughout the phone such as mine is. At one point I was able to somewhat fix everything but the Camera roll issues but in just a couple of weeks the other problems have all returned. The way I fixed this a few weeks ago was by throwing a hail Mary and deleting Instagram. As soon as I did that, the camera returned to normal even after re-installing it. I removed every Camera app and any apps that use the camera on my phone but this time nothing has fixed the issue. I've also performed a factory reset and restored nothing, re-configuring and installing all software again manually but this issue is still persisting.Â
The first noticeable symptom was my on my camera roll where images would appear like they were black or had some sort of dark filter over them. Many people have had similar issues and there is almost never a resolution on ANY of these threads.As you can see, while the preview is dark, the actual picture is fine. This means it's most likely not anything to do with the hardware side of the camera.Â
Inside the Apple Camera.App the view is also dark, as if there is some sort of dark filter on the camera. But if I apply a filter, the display looks "normal". As you can see below the, on the right with a filter applied the display is as expected. Other camera apps (Instragram, Camera+, MagiCam) have the same issue, but without the ability to set a filter like in the Apple app, the camera remains unusable in those applications.Â
This isn't all though, as we continue down the rabbit hole, the plot thickens. Even displaying photos in full-screen in other apps has that same dark filter look to it:Â This screenshot is taken inside Tweetbot. And as shown below, a similar issue with Music.app displaying Album covers. And while I don't have a screenshot for it off-hand, I've had the same issue watching video in full-screen in the YouTube app.Â
Is there any way to force the screen to allow for one to watch full-screen streaming video with the kickstand engaged and the power cord plugged in? I cannot get any of my usual streams (tennistv.com, sprinttv, many, many more) to rotate so that the power cord is at the top of the phone.

Usually a reboot fixes it but not always. View 3 Replies View RelatedUp till now I had been playing with a non US 3.1 Xoom. I would stick video content (mainly avi files encoded as divx) in the Movies folder. Selecting the Movie folder from Gallery would show all the content but the only program that would play them was Rockplayer which I had installed.
I know have a US Xoom with 3.2 firmware. With the same type of content in the Movies folder together with a MP4 file encoded with Handbrake to specs that the Xoom can play, Gallery only shows me that MP4 file. The other files just don't show up at all. The only way I can play them is to use ES Filemanager to browse that folder and click the filename to play it or use Rockplayer's explorer interface.
