Some of the pages I visit will show in mobile view even if I go to the page without typing " m. (etc).com". On my Htc Evo there was the option to just view web pages in full in not in mobile. Can the photon be set that way?? If so how can I do it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedPlugged my Photon into my PC for the first time today, using the Phone Portal app (stock). As it popped up, it looked like any other Android/smartphone in that I could "see" it as a drive on my PC....look at/add/delete/manage data and folders.No biggie.But....Up pops the Motorola Media Link app for install on the PC (assuming the file to do so was on the phone and did this once it was connected to a computer). OK, so I install it to take a peek. Install was clean....it looked for and installed an upate of the Media Link app...and I saw that it was nothing more than a sync conduit for music/photos/etc.
Not wanting to sync anything, I simply "safely removed hardware" on the PC...unplugged and went to lunch. It was then that I noticed a bunch off icons missing from the home screens. My HTC Evo used to do that whenever you'd disconnect, because you'd been using the SD card as a drive. It would then re-initialize the card and poof, your icons would reappear. Not this one! They're gone-ski!They're still in the All Apps view....and certainly still on the phone/card because I can see them in settings>apps. If I look at the SD card view, they're all there.I did some rooting (sorry....snooping) around and found a few threads about this regarding Droid X, but none of the questions had been answeredI called Moto and they don't know what it is; "oh
I have been having problems with my home icons vanishing when connecting my Photon as a USB drive. I found a workaround that takes care of this problem.

I have a wireless mouse, and I'm waiting for a keyboard but for some reason, I can't figure out how to bring up the full screen keyboard on the actual photon while I'm using the hd dock. I know it can be done because I saw it at the sprint store and I read of others doing it but all the searching I've done hasn't lead me to an answer. To clarify, I'm trying to figure out how to bring the keyboard up on the photon screen so I can type in web top mode until my regular keyboard arrives.

When I rotate to put the charger on top (aka, so I can charge the battery while doing something so battery draining), nothing happens, the video won't rotate. View 1 Replies View RelatedI spoke to Motorola today. They said it is a sim card issue. I took the phone into the Sprint store they told me I had to call the International department. I called and I was told an e-ticket had to be set up for me to take the phone back to the store and they have to trouble shoot it before they will send out a new phone. WTHeck this is getting ridiculous. This has been going on since September when I got the phone. And now I get this message during calls and it drops the call and I can't place the call again until the error resolves itself.

I have not determined when the phone switched back to "any cdma". I don't believe I powered the phone down. The only reason I checked was when I noticed the 3G data was running slow. I notice a pretty drastic speed increase when using the automatic setting.Is there something that triggers the phone to revert back to "any cdma"?

In Firefox, the greater < and > work fine. However, in the mobile view, < and > appear as : and ; respectively. I tested this in a few different apps. Since those symbols share the same buttons on the soft keyboard, it looks like they are just mapped wrong. All the other symbols work fine in mobile view, including those which require a shift.

They show a message saying user and password may be wrong, but they are not, because I connect to the same pages on my Mac and they work just fine, including Ovi Store. Having issues viewing web pages that are not setup for mobile applications. I figured out to change the font settings so I can reed print, but adjusting and readjusting the touch screen by pinching and zooming in is not practical, each time I click on a link, I lose the setting Ibrowsing just adjsusted, and I have to do this all over again. By doing this 9 times out of ten My phone goes to a ling I have no intrest in viewing, my BB curve was a lot better at browsing web pages than this model of phone.
1. Can I turn off the touch screen?
2. How I do adjust my browser settings so that pages load with having to zoom in or out?
3. Having issues with the phone locking up while texting and viewing web pages, the cell bar (strength ) freezes up at the same time as the phone, i suspect its the battery, but pulling it each time the phone locks up will leed to the phone flying, never to return.
4..Im tired of viewing the hour glass app as the phone decides if its going to worl or not, I have two weeks warenty left and ruuning a up to date black berry operating system.
From time to time, the mobile view won't respond to mouse clicks. I can't launch apps, but I can close tabs.een it after I've received the Memory warning a couple of times, but not convinenced it's totally related.
