View 10 Replies View RelatedI just bought this cellphone in the Netherlands Firmware V6.69 (03-22-11 RM-586).It has the following items: Settings>Phone>Sensor-settings>Sensor>Sensor on/off, Vibration Feedback on/off,Clock analog/digital.The settings are not described in the manual. I experimented with these settings, but could not notice any change in any app or screen of the phone.Then I started the navigation app. Within this app (to start to navigate) you're ask to twist and turn the phone to set map rotation. I tried it many times, having the sensor setting set to ON, every time finally a window appears saying that map rotation failed.I wonder if the 2710c-2 has a sensor that can be activated. Does anyone know (for sure)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been waiting for this update for some time now, and I am sure there are plenty of other people that have been. I personally love my droid 2, but I am something of a IT guru, and have worked out all the bugs for myself and my friends... took me 3 SBF's to do it as I broke a feature or 2 my phone a few times in the process until I fully grasped exactly what kind of structure that android runs on... You should really consider allowing the tech junkies to download it with a big warning that things are still in process of being fixed. I am sure that anyone that goes digging this far for the update will understand the risks, and be glad to help give debugging and q/a support to the team. Android is an open source based system, and as such the community that uses it is on the whole a tad more savvy than that of other systems. Just open up a thread where we can all come and check in with issues, and workarounds and sticky it so everyone can find it easily.

it does NOT allow for HR's, Notes, time of day...not sure why
And then when you look on both graphs it says no raw data...So, you cant see any of the details at all??

I'm using the email app for my work email. It's using the IMAP protocol. I'm not using the corporate sync functionality. After doing a manual sync by pressing the refresh icon, I would get emails pushed to my phone fine. However, after some time emails stop getting pushed to my phone. The period of time when push seems to be working varies around a few hours. When it stops working I have to do a manual sync again in order to get push to work for another few hours.

The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?
I also have other issues with applications. I am unable to download and install the "BlackBerry APP World"; I get a message, " Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World"
"Google talk" give an error messag: " Service not enabled for this hand held" "Blackberry maps" are not loaded on the handset.Setup wizard does not give me the option to set up my personal e-mail only enterprise e-mail.I am able to browse and send and receive MMS & SMS messages.
Kindly advise as to ho to resolve these issues and whether there is a more current software version for the handset, and if so: how do I update it.

Opera's website doesn't show a version for the 9700 so I was going to download the version for the 9000. The only problem is the 9000 version doesn't have the 5.0 firmware option available.
