I have my search function configured to show apps, but when I do a search apps don't actually show up (most of the time) unless I hit the button in the search dialog and then select Apps. Other search types (e.g., contacts) seem to work fine.
View 2 RepliesMy touchscreen frequently doesn't register my input in either swype or normal modes. This seems to happen primarily when searching contacts. Swype may show the word suggestion but it never appears in the search window. The only solution seems to be shutting down and removing the battery. Just restarting doesn't work. Neither does switching input methods.

When I select that app/game, it does not give me the option to update, only "open" or "uninstall". This is not crucial but pretty annoying considering I like to keep everything on my device (including apps/games) updated to the most current version.

My phone only seems to show full screen video with the top of the video on the volume button sides and the bottom where the charger hooks in. Is this the norm? When I rotate to put the charger on top (aka, so I can charge the battery while doing something so battery draining), nothing happens, the video won't rotate. I haven't bothered reporting this problem before but it has existed since I got the phone.My contacts are stored on an exchange server. For many of friends, family, and coworkers I have added a contact photo. These contact photos work on:
EVO
EVO 3D
Epic 4g Touch
iPhone
Outlook
iPad
Galaxy
but they do not work on the Photon. By not work, I simply mean that the photos exist on the server, and when I txt or call anyone whose contact has a photo stored, the photo does not show up for almost all of my contacts that have photos in them. Curiously, there are two contacts that display photos, but I don't know why. I would like the photos to be displayed for all contacts like all of my other devices do. i did move my applications from another phone to this phone using a MyBackupPro.
the option to only show phone contacts and not have all them showing. like htc uses and not force other apps into the contact list

But when I switch to mobile data network it works fine and returns the results right away. I can not even use speech to text feature while on wifi it, it does the same thing as voice search on wifi. I am not able to find out what the problem is. The formatting was incorrectly checked causing all caps. Just changed the formatting to correct that.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince I bought my Photon earlier this week, I immediately noticed that the indicator light didn't, well, indicate. Anything, ever, at all. It didn't even light up when charging. I know this is not a burned-out LED because I've installed an app which fixes most of the problems, the app is called Light Flow. Its only limitations on the Photon are that it can't light the indicator for battery charge events/status, and it may not be able to show all the colors, but I do have it working for missed call/text, email, bluetooth on, etc. The issue is, I shouldn't need an app to do this and I want the indicator LED to show battery charge status.

I've noticed that the voice input feature for text messaging (which I REALLY like!) sometimes appears to disable or something, all on its own, and when you attempt to utilize it again, it won't engage. Is there a toggle switch for this somewhere?

I spoke to a sprint rep and she did a refresh but the same problem still persists. I even restarted the phone but still have the same issue. My internet and everything else works. The rep told me I can do a factory reset to see if that will fix the problem. I will take it to a sprint store but wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and fixed it without doing a hard reset.
