Sep 29, 2011I have my search function configured to show apps, but when I do a search apps don't actually show up (most of the time) unless I hit the button in the search dialog and then select Apps. Other search types (e.g., contacts) seem to work fine.

Nov 21, 2011My touchscreen frequently doesn't register my input in either swype or normal modes. This seems to happen primarily when searching contacts. Swype may show the word suggestion but it never appears in the search window. The only solution seems to be shutting down and removing the battery. Just restarting doesn't work. Neither does switching input methods.

May 18, 2010I'm thinking about getting an iPhone or iPod touch and want to listen to podcasts. With my current MP3 player/software combination I have a problem dealing with podcasts. So I'm wondering if iTunes+iPod/iPhone can do what I want. This is what I'm looking for:
I want to be able to have a playlist containing all podcasts that I haven't listened to. When a new podcast comes out I want to be able to sync with iTunes and have the new podcast get appended to the playlist. Preferably I should not have to choose which podcasts to append. All new podcasts should just be automatically appended. I don't want to have to make a new playlist everytime I download a new podcast and I don't want to lose my place in the playlist. I just want to sync the podcast and have it show up in my podcast playlist. Once I've listened to a podcast I want it to be deleted and taken off of the playlist. Thus the playlist should just act like a queue where podcasts that have been listened to get deleted and new podcasts get appended. I know that iTunes/iPod has some functionality in dealing with podcasts, but can it do all of this? If not, do you know of any device/software combination that can perhaps non-iPod or software for the iPod touch, something like that? If there's an application which can do this without syncing to iTunes, that would be work too.
Motorola Motoactv :: Unable To Put Podcast Episodes On Device
Jun 1, 2012All the right boxes are checked- I want it to load four episodes that I haven't listened to yet. Two of them are gray on my device "file type not supported" (they are both mp3s, same as the episodes I've listened to) The last time I attempted to sync, inexplicably it REMOVED all of the podcast episodes from my device, when I was trying to ADD several new ones. Spent an hour on customer service tonight speaking with a fellow who did not seem to understand what a podcast is.

Aug 9, 2011I would think it is a problem in my settings but dont know enough to know what it would be. Pandora use to play all of the time in the beginning but about 3 weeks ago it would play 4-6 songs then stop. I would have to shut it down and bring it back up to get it going again. I uninstalled/reinstalled it yesterday and now it will stop on the first song. I thought it might be Pandora but it is doing the same thing on audio podcasts.

Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?

Nov 17, 2011So I had a chance to start and really flex the stock music app.This application is a huge improvment over the GB one on the DX.I was able to subscribe to a few podcasts like *** with Marc Maron with no problems.I was notified this morning that a new episode had been downloaded to the RAZR.I can not add my own podcast feeds , which means ones that I have paid subscriptions to will have to find a different application (PodTrapper is what I used on my DX).
The application was able to find my music easily and even downloaded the cover art While playing a song the application with scrob to Last.fm if configured.It will also download the Lyrics for the playing song and show them on the screen.The application will show recommended news, songs that are related.I did not have time to try out Motocast yet and I am hoping to get to it this weekend..While playing either a podcast or music you can have the application running in the background to listen and allows quick access via the notifications bar.If the screen is locked you have quick access to pause/play and skip forward/backwards in your playlist.I found this to work very well.One issue that I did find is that if you are listening to a podcast and you use the application to pause ( not from a lock screen ) it will not pause, but will end the episode and then you must restart and try to move to last place it was playing.A few things that could be added to make this perfect.
1. Allow me to add my own podcast subscriptions along with ones that require authentication
2. Fix the pause button for podcasts
3. Allow me to add Google Music and or Amazon Cloud Music as a music source

Jan 9, 2012I have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.

Oct 28, 2011Has anyone seen / experienced this? When I have my photon in the car dock and using the GPS, I am unable to receive incoming calls. My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

At first I thought it was related only to the silent call issue that the screen flashes every few seconds but even when I am able to make a regular call it still does this.

Jul 3, 2012I have a Photon that is at best qurky. I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot

Sep 16, 2011Anyone used or using Drive First?I installed it, was using it, but just too much for me, I already use a car dock, motospeak and bluetooth.(Yes, trying to be safe).It just does not intrgrate well with Google Voice.Anyway, it seemed to install an app when I signed up for it, the app is called Smart Device Manager.After cancelling Drive First it continues to lock my screen when the car moves.I figured out which app is is, but the only available option is "uninstall updates" and it keeps wanting to re-update the app after I uninstalled updates. I have uninstalled updates and reinstalled a few times, but it seems that app is dug in there, and won't leave.Because Sprint customer service has NO CLUE (after 4 reps) how the app works, or how to get rid of it?
