I have just upgraded to the latest Gingerbread release. The Music app plays podcasts, but it appears that you can only add podcasts which are listed at podcast.com. Is there a way to add a feed manually or do I need to find a less restrictive podcast player app?
View 1 RepliesI'm thinking about getting an iPhone or iPod touch and want to listen to podcasts. With my current MP3 player/software combination I have a problem dealing with podcasts. So I'm wondering if iTunes+iPod/iPhone can do what I want. This is what I'm looking for:
I want to be able to have a playlist containing all podcasts that I haven't listened to. When a new podcast comes out I want to be able to sync with iTunes and have the new podcast get appended to the playlist. Preferably I should not have to choose which podcasts to append. All new podcasts should just be automatically appended. I don't want to have to make a new playlist everytime I download a new podcast and I don't want to lose my place in the playlist. I just want to sync the podcast and have it show up in my podcast playlist. Once I've listened to a podcast I want it to be deleted and taken off of the playlist. Thus the playlist should just act like a queue where podcasts that have been listened to get deleted and new podcasts get appended. I know that iTunes/iPod has some functionality in dealing with podcasts, but can it do all of this? If not, do you know of any device/software combination that can perhaps non-iPod or software for the iPod touch, something like that? If there's an application which can do this without syncing to iTunes, that would be work too.
The blackberry podcast list is limited. This may be a stupid question, but how can I add podcasts to the BlackBerry Podcast App? I can't seem to figure it out.There used to be an option to add a podcast url but that seems to have disappeared.
View 14 Replies View RelatedIt isn't 100% consistent, it's about 50% consistent, but, if I plug my Atrix HD into a computer with the USB cable (which I have to do quite often since the battery isn't long-lasting), playing audio stutters about every 15 to 30 seconds. Sometimes the pause/stutter can be for 2 or 3 seconds. However, mostly it's probably only 1/2 second. Regardless, it's disconcerting to listen to music or a podcast and have it pause every few seconds.

Within the music player on a 5800XM, how can I control the ordering of podcasts when using the Podcasts->By Title search option with the music player...? What this currently does is orders these is the newest first order, where as if you a listening to a radio drama (like me, who listens to the Archers approx twice a week)
you want these to be in the oldest first order!
I have just installed the Media Go s/w for my new Experia phone (as I want to use it to play podcasts to replace my aging Zune) Trouble is when I ran the set up of Media Go, it found all my music and podcasts but sees them ALL as music (and has put nothing into the Podcasts menu (LHS panel) and found a way to make them go to the right place?
Also, when I almost gave up and tried to just set them all up again by subscribing to them insode Media Go, the choice is REALLY limited, so is no use either.
There isn't a specific forum for this in the iOS Apps category so I am putting it here.I just downloaded the new Apple Podcasts app to my iPhone 4S.[URL]I have figured out how to find and subscribe to the podcasts I normally listen to but I am not sure how to get the podcasts to download over wifi so I can listen to them later.Don't want to burn up my data plan streaming podcasts when I'm on the road.The description says that you can do this, "Stream episodes or download to listen while offline" but I am not sure if it is happening.There is no visual clue to let me know that the casts are downloading or not.Do I just need to be patient? Or am I doing something wrong.

When I sync to my iPhone, four of these appear in iTunes>Podcasts and the other two appear in Videos>Podcasts.
(a) Why don't they all appear in the same place?
(b) How can I make them all appear in the same place?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll the right boxes are checked- I want it to load four episodes that I haven't listened to yet. Two of them are gray on my device "file type not supported" (they are both mp3s, same as the episodes I've listened to) The last time I attempted to sync, inexplicably it REMOVED all of the podcast episodes from my device, when I was trying to ADD several new ones. Spent an hour on customer service tonight speaking with a fellow who did not seem to understand what a podcast is.

Pandora use to play all of the time in the beginning but about 3 weeks ago it would play 4-6 songs then stop. I would have to shut it down and bring it back up to get it going again. I uninstalled/reinstalled it yesterday and now it will stop on the first song. I thought it might be Pandora but it is doing the same thing on audio podcasts.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I had a chance to start and really flex the stock music app.This application is a huge improvment over the GB one on the DX.I was able to subscribe to a few podcasts like *** with Marc Maron with no problems.I was notified this morning that a new episode had been downloaded to the RAZR.I can not add my own podcast feeds , which means ones that I have paid subscriptions to will have to find a different application (PodTrapper is what I used on my DX).
The application was able to find my music easily and even downloaded the cover art While playing a song the application with scrob to Last.fm if configured.It will also download the Lyrics for the playing song and show them on the screen.The application will show recommended news, songs that are related.I did not have time to try out Motocast yet and I am hoping to get to it this weekend..While playing either a podcast or music you can have the application running in the background to listen and allows quick access via the notifications bar.If the screen is locked you have quick access to pause/play and skip forward/backwards in your playlist.I found this to work very well.One issue that I did find is that if you are listening to a podcast and you use the application to pause ( not from a lock screen ) it will not pause, but will end the episode and then you must restart and try to move to last place it was playing.A few things that could be added to make this perfect.
1. Allow me to add my own podcast subscriptions along with ones that require authentication
2. Fix the pause button for podcasts
3. Allow me to add Google Music and or Amazon Cloud Music as a music source
I finally received the docking station, keyboard, etc.. but when docking my only options are Photo gallery, Music, and Mirror -- no Webtop.If I manually launch the Webtop Connector application, I simply get two tabs: "Webtop Sessions" and "Webtop Bookmarks" -- and the Sessions tab says, "No webtop web pages to resume; an a link to "Learn more about Motorola webtop." -- which is just a video that trys to tell me what great capability I'll have once it actually works.When I check the running services and applications (under Manage Applications), there is a Webtop service, but it shows 0.00B - presuming that it means it is not running or taking up space; and a Webtop Connector application showing 28.00KB.

I get the screen where it allows you to choose the music from itunes, but all of the playlists are empty. My library is found in "Documents/Music/itunes", but not on the drive letter that Windows 7 (64 bit) is running from. Could this be my problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe rss feed reader refuses to download any rss feeds. neither the two pre-installed ones, nor any other. once, i managed to download an opml file on my phone and using that i was able to physically add a new rss feed which however contained no posts and failed to update. all the other times pressing "subscribe to rss feed" in the browser opens the reader and after approving by pressing the "done" button it tries to connect to the feed for 1-2 min without success.
