I just purchased this device tonight and installed everything with no issues. I get the screen where it allows you to choose the music from itunes, but all of the playlists are empty. My library is found in "Documents/Music/itunes", but not on the drive letter that Windows 7 (64 bit) is running from. Could this be my problem?

I've been on the phone with Motorola for many hours over many days with this issue, but they haven't been able to resolve it. The issue is currently being sent to the "engenieering department," and I was told it could take weeks to get a response.Other than this issue the device works fine.I can manually add music to the device, but a $250 fitness MP3 player without playlists? No way.I've un/reinstalled the Motocast USB software several times and made sure my iTunes is up-to-date, but it seems that the two programs are not communicating with one another.(note: I have the MOTOACTV 8GB model and my macbook pro is running on OSX 10.7.2)
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe scenario is I have my iTunes Library stored on D:iTunes and from what I gather on the forums, the Motoactv software doesn't behave well when the library is not on C:. When I try to sync within the application none of the playlists are found. I've tried the suggestions of deleting and recreating my library XML file, but it doesn't seem to help. I can copy music in USB drag-and-drop mode, but this is a pain. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."
View 11 Replies View RelatedI want to sync iTunes playlists to my HTC One M8, but can find no way to do so. I've spent more than 2 hours on the phone with HTC tech support, none of whom could solve my problem.
I know I CAN copy songs onto my phone, but for playlists to work they need to be organized in folders by artist, with subfolders by album. If they aren't I have to recreate every single iTunes playlist manually. Then, any time I change a playlist, I have to make the change a second time on the phone.
I know I CAN copy all the songs onto the phone and have iTunes sort them as a new library, but I can never sync them once I do that. Every time I add or change a song in iTunes, I'll have to remember to go to my phone and make the same changes.
What I NEED to do is sync selected playlists in iTunes with my phone in such a way that the playlists will work (organized music folders) and that the music can be synced now and then, and any changes made since the last sync will be made on the phone as well.
This should be easy to do. This is syncing music at its most basic level. Every smartphone I've owned previously was able to do this by default. Apparently the HTC One M8 is incapable of this.

I want the Podcasts that I've subscribed to in iTunes to appear automatically on any device (iPhone, iPad) that I have signed in under the same Apple ID. I subscribe to about 28 podcasts and it is a real pain to have to manually add each of those to both my iPhone and my iPad — not to mention keeping all that in sync as I add or delete subscriptions over time.
Do you think Apple is working on a fix for this? I've got the latest everything, iOS 5.1.1, iPhone 4S, iPad3, iTunes 10.6.3, iCloud. No luck

I have an iPhone 5c that I have always synced with iTunes on a laptop that belonged to my workplace. But I have left that job now, and with it, I have left the laptop. I now want to sync that same iPhone 5c on my iMac at home. This iMac has an iTunes that has NO podcasts on it ...Â
But when I prepare to sync the phone in iTunes and I click the podcasts tab and check the "Sync Podcasts" checkbox, it asks if I want to delete all the podcasts on the iPhone. I definitely *don't* want to do this ... I want those podcasts on the iPhone to be part of my backup on the computer. Many of these podcasts are older and no longer available for download from their original sources.Â
Is there any way that I can achieve this? It's not like I paid for any of these podcasts -- it's all free content, so I'm not breaking any copyright issues here.

I could see all my playlist before but then some off them vanished (I think this may have happened after I updated the software some time ago)
When my phone is plugged into my computer (so that I can see it on itunes) I can click on my named iphone and all the playlists are visable, for eg: my top rated, recently added, recently played, top 25 most played but when i look at the playlists on my actual iphone I can't see them there.

My device has found my library once, and I realized afterwards that it was an old library file because it included podcasts from 4-5 months ago. My "itunes library.itl" file is found here in Windows 7: %userprofile%My Musicitunes (if you put that into windows explorer it will bring me to the file, which is actually found in a non-standard location on a 2nd internal hard on my computer.
Would it be possible to change the sync program to look at relative URL's for "My Music" such as %userprofile%My Musicitunes instead of direct URL's like I'm guessing it is doing? this syncing tell me both the relative and direct URL for their ITL file?
Media Sync does not work with the 808 like it did for my E7?Does the Nokia Suite sync with itunes library to import playlists over? or do I need to recreate all my playlists from itunes in the suite?I wonder if I can copy the playlists files from my Nokia E7 over to the 808 and see if the 808 Music player pics them up rather than doing it all manually?

I have a Mac Mini that I recently bought and transfered my iTunes Library from my previous Macbook to the mini. I can see all the songs in iTunes (running in the Mini) and can also play them, all playlists intact.

Changes to playlists on my iphone are not syncing to I-tunes on new version. The new music purchases I make on my i-phone sync, but not the playlist additions/deletions. Once I sync the i-pnone to itunes, my phone's playlist is replace with what the playlist setup previously in I-tunes. I keep getting generic responses from support.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI used to download several podcasts directly to my iPhone 4S each morning through iTunes and play them using the iPhone music player later in the day. Last week I noticed the download icons in iTunes changed (software update maybe?). The podcasts still download in iTunes but they no longer appear in the music player app (the old episodes are still there in the podcast menu). I can still play the new podcasts in iTunes but it does not automatically go to the next file when one ends like the music player does. This is annoying when listening to multiple shorter files. Also, I am concerned iTunes will not play the episodes if it can't connect to the server. Tested this out in airplane mode and it would not even let me access the iTunes podcasts despite supposedly being "downloaded". My mobile reception is poor in the office and there are times accessing iTunes is very slow or impossible.There are also times when I listen to them while in the car on trips through areas with little or no mobile data service.
TL;DR: iTunes podcast downloads used to show up in iPhone music player. Now they don't.

What this currently does is orders these is the newest first order, where as if you a listening to a radio drama (like me, who listens to the Archers approx twice a week)

I have just installed the Media Go s/w for my new Experia phone (as I want to use it to play podcasts to replace my aging Zune) Trouble is when I ran the set up of Media Go, it found all my music and podcasts but sees them ALL as music (and has put nothing into the Podcasts menu (LHS panel) and found a way to make them go to the right place?
Also, when I almost gave up and tried to just set them all up again by subscribing to them insode Media Go, the choice is REALLY limited, so is no use either.
