IPhone :: It Won't Show All The Playlists Have On Itunes
Jun 13, 2012
I'm having difficulty in getting all the playlists that I have on my itunes to transfer on to my iphone 4, it wasn't always like this. I could see all my playlist before but then some off them vanished (I think this may have happened after I updated the software some time ago)
When my phone is plugged into my computer (so that I can see it on itunes) I can click on my named iphone and all the playlists are visable, for eg: my top rated, recently added, recently played, top 25 most played but when i look at the playlists on my actual iphone I can't see them there.
Droid Razr; using MotoCast Wireless. XP computer is on all the time, no trouble connecting. Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time. But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."
My playlists are automatically erased from my iPhone when I connect it to my Mac and open iTunes. I have my music set to manually manage in iTunes and don't know why my playlists are getting deleted. I made the playlists on the phone and not through the Mac. What is going on?
I have iTunes Match on my on my computer but not on my iPhone(it cant be enabled). When I sync music, I do it by playlists. All the music syncs but not the actual playlist? I have tried taking the playlists out of iCloud by adding a video clip but to no avail.
i have been told that i shouldnt delete songs from my library even if i have converted them to my iphone device on the pc cause next time i will syns my ihpne to pc the songs will be deletred from my iphone as well.the list in the library under the music map gets too long so i want to organize those songs in different playlists.so my question is how do i do that?i tried to go to file and click on new playlist but that playlist shows up in the end.first u have library then store, iphone device, shared, genius ant then in the end playlists.so that playlist shows up here.so i wonder that is not under the library..so is those playlists a part of the library?i mean if i download a song here in the playlist category and not under the music map under the library will it be saved here when i convert that song to my iphone device.is this the same as library?cause i taught if i wanna make a playlist in the library it will show up under the library..
I have a Mac Mini that I recently bought and transfered my iTunes Library from my previous Macbook to the mini. I can see all the songs in iTunes (running in the Mini) and can also play them, all playlists intact.
Now when I tried to synch my iPhone with the iTunes (in the Mini) it all went fine, except that after the synching a lot of my songs are missing from my iPhone.
Changes to playlists on my iphone are not syncing to I-tunes on new version. The new music purchases I make on my i-phone sync, but not the playlist additions/deletions. Once I sync the i-pnone to itunes, my phone's playlist is replace with what the playlist setup previously in I-tunes. I keep getting generic responses from support.
When I attempted to sync my new iphone to my itunes library on the PC only 181 songs of a library of over 2000 synced to the iphone and no playlists transferred to the iphone. Why?
I recently purchased an iphone 4s, and shortly after, my son dowloaded a virus on my computer, and I had to a factory reset (for the 3rd time in 6 months). Now all of my playlists are stuck on my iphone. I have all of the music files backed up, but I really don't want to have to create all of my playlists AGAIN. I read a post online that said that if you create a playlist on the iphone, it will sync back to itunes, so I copied all of my existing playlists on the iphone again, so that they would now be 'new' playlists.
The problem is, when I start the sync to itunes, I get the message that says if I sync with the computer, all files on the iphone will be replaced with files from itunes. Right now, my itunes is empty. If I go through with the sync, am I going to lose everything on the iphone, or will it copy all of the 'new' playlists from the iphone into itunes? I guess it's not the end of the world if I have to recreate the whole library, but it took me about 12 hrs to do it last time, so I really don't want to have to go that route if I don't have to!
I have an LG G4 with a 128GB microSD. I prefer to store all my music locally, and have about 100 gb of albums on the microSD. If I open Google Play Music and select "downloaded only," I can see and play all albums and songs stored locally. However, all my playlists, which show and play fine when streaming, disappear. Instead, my 30+ playlists (same as on iTunes) are replaced by 3-5 odd, random playlists that I never consciously created.
Since my playlists all reference music that is locally stored, why wouldn't they work the same for "downloaded only" as they do when streaming? I'm going to be moving to a place with horrible and expensive internet, so I need to figure out how to use pre-created playlists for locally stored music.
I want to sync iTunes playlists to my HTC One M8, but can find no way to do so. I've spent more than 2 hours on the phone with HTC tech support, none of whom could solve my problem.
I know I CAN copy songs onto my phone, but for playlists to work they need to be organized in folders by artist, with subfolders by album. If they aren't I have to recreate every single iTunes playlist manually. Then, any time I change a playlist, I have to make the change a second time on the phone.
I know I CAN copy all the songs onto the phone and have iTunes sort them as a new library, but I can never sync them once I do that. Every time I add or change a song in iTunes, I'll have to remember to go to my phone and make the same changes.
What I NEED to do is sync selected playlists in iTunes with my phone in such a way that the playlists will work (organized music folders) and that the music can be synced now and then, and any changes made since the last sync will be made on the phone as well.
This should be easy to do. This is syncing music at its most basic level. Every smartphone I've owned previously was able to do this by default. Apparently the HTC One M8 is incapable of this.
Media Sync does not work with the 808 like it did for my E7?Does the Nokia Suite sync with itunes library to import playlists over? or do I need to recreate all my playlists from itunes in the suite?I wonder if I can copy the playlists files from my Nokia E7 over to the 808 and see if the 808 Music player pics them up rather than doing it all manually?
My iTunes playlists do not show up when Motocast USB launches. As such, there is no way to sync music to my device. I've been on the phone with Motorola for many hours over many days with this issue, but they haven't been able to resolve it. The issue is currently being sent to the "engenieering department," and I was told it could take weeks to get a response.Other than this issue the device works fine.I can manually add music to the device, but a $250 fitness MP3 player without playlists? No way.I've un/reinstalled the Motocast USB software several times and made sure my iTunes is up-to-date, but it seems that the two programs are not communicating with one another.(note: I have the MOTOACTV 8GB model and my macbook pro is running on OSX 10.7.2)
I just purchased this device tonight and installed everything with no issues. I get the screen where it allows you to choose the music from itunes, but all of the playlists are empty. My library is found in "Documents/Music/itunes", but not on the drive letter that Windows 7 (64 bit) is running from. Could this be my problem?
I have a nokia x6 and all my Music in Itunes on my Win7 machine. I know that there is no way to synchronize my mobile with itunes in a way that pleasant me (itunes agent, itunes sync, salling mediasync give all no playing counts back to itunes). But i am happy to see, that there is an option to import my itunes library to OVI music, so i can administrate my music in itunes and all new music is imported to OVI Music for a sync with my phone. The easiest way to solve this problem would be to make the "Nokia multimedia transfer" running on a windows machine. Is there any plausible reason for not transferring the software from the Mac to Windows. Many Nokia users would be happy about that (cause i am loosing all my playlists, ratings, playing counts, if i switch to OVI Music). And i am sure that many people (including me) that have a nokia mobile and an ipod, would switch to use only the mobile, if them would be given an easy way to synchronize. What is good for an Mac user should be better for a Windows user (since there are certainly more windows user your clients, than mac user that would prefer a iphone)
My aim is to have only Music that a did not play the last month. So all songs should be deleted during the synchronisation on my phone if i heard them the past days.In itunes there is the opportunity to make selfupdating playlists (e. g. only songs not played the last month). So i hear a song on my ipod, make a synchronisation with itunes and the song disappears from the ipod and is replaced by a new song. That is the feature I am missing in OVI Music, where i have no opportunity to make selfupdating playlists.Since you have already selfupdating playlists in OVI Music implemented (recently played, last added,..) There should be a way to make a playlist called "not played the last month".Are there any plans for the future? But there is still one more problem: Some songs are double imported although the songs are only once in the itunes library. Is there the opportunity to find duplicates in the OVI Music?
The scenario is I have my iTunes Library stored on D:iTunes and from what I gather on the forums, the Motoactv software doesn't behave well when the library is not on C:. When I try to sync within the application none of the playlists are found. I've tried the suggestions of deleting and recreating my library XML file, but it doesn't seem to help. I can copy music in USB drag-and-drop mode, but this is a pain. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.
I have had my iphone for well over a year now. For some reason when i plug my iphone into Itunes it will not show up. Yes, i have downloaded the new itunes, Yes, i have done all the re-starting etc and yes, i've been round the apple website for help, in fact it seems like i am going around in circles!
Then i read that i may have to pay for someone at Apple to tell me what the problem is..... the cheek!
My I phone 4 does not show up in Itunes but it does chrge only, I tried to figured out the problem by restart my computer, restart my phone and reinstall Itunse but still does not work.
When I first got my iphone 3gs I thought it was the neatest device ever... three updates later all that has changed, but I digress.Among the many bugs that I deal with constantly, the one that is giving me the most problems is that itunes is not recognizing the iphone at all. I restarted the phone, and I have already deleted and re installed the lastest version of itunes to no avail. I'm running the newest software for the iphone 3gs and my mac has os 10.6.8.I know the USB connection is fine because when I connect the phone to my computer, iphoto always comes up right away...
I made several ringtones and changed the extension to .m4r but they don't show up in iTunes ringtone folder. I have done this before and it worked but can't get it now. I am using the latest iTunes and all songs are 30 seconds long. Thanks for any help!
