Nov 29, 2011Pulled the battery on my phone today and now Browser does not have the options to seach via a search engine. Its just an address bar. Ex. If I type yahoo, it will just go to [URL] It used to show the search engines I could use. Also, in the options it would let me choose my default before, now there is nothing in the options about search engines.

I was told that it can be upgraded to OS 7.1 which has a lot of new features, like FM Radio, Mobile Hotspot, Wifi Calling,bbm 6.1, Faster Browser, Smart Tag Update, But when ever I open my Desktop software and connect my phone to my laptop to see if the update in available it just does NOT show me any update.

Aug 27, 2012I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520 running BB OS 5. Recently the default BB browser will not load pages. After navigating to any page the loading bar at the bottom of the screen will fill up but when it is fill the browser will display a blank page. I installed Opera Mini on the devise and it opens up and displays all web pages fine. I have tried removing the battery and re inserting it without success. I am also unable to reinstall the browser from the BB desktop app. Is there any way to fix this issue without reintalling the OS from scratch?

Aug 9, 2010My SMS inbox doesnt show new messages and also my Curve 8900 doesnt prompt for any new messages. However, the Mobiso application (which logs calls, texts) shows messages coming in with its text lengths. I asked this to Blackberryhelp on Twitter but it said to contact service provider, but there is nothing wrong with it. The format of the SMS inbox should have something wrong otherwise the Mobiso application should not have logged all messages.

Jan 25, 2010i've never had this problem until recently. i'll go to Internet's mobile site, perform search, etc. and when i go to click on the video, nothing happens. the browser doesn't open the media player at all. i've tried with my native browser and evn with opera mini, which ultimately requires the native browser anyway. i don't remember changing any particular settings on my browser so i couldn't imagine why i would have this issue. any help would be appreciated. just to reiterate, i don't even so much as an error message. nothing happens at all when i try to play the video. it just stays on the same page.

May 2, 2011When I try to access web sites from the Blackberry browser I get the "Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service. Please try again later" message. This happens whether connected through the T-Mobile network or Wi-fi.When I change the browser settings to the T-Mobile browser I am able to access web site just fine. However I would prefer to use the Blackberry browser because not all pages load correctly with the T-Mobile browser.
I have an active data plan and am connected to an enterprise server. My outlook and webmail e-mails work so I don't think it's a problem with my carrier. I've tried a battery pull, re-sending my service books, etc without luck.I think the problem may have started after connecting to my desktop for the first time in about a year, but I'm not completely certain. T-Mobile support and IT administrator have been no help.

This has happened on a number of A200 platform phones i've owned. It seems to be a browser problem but I can't find any setting to change the default language. Feb 3, 2010I found lot of POIs on the map which I´m not not able to find using the search function. Eg. around the corner from my house is supermarket Billa, its POI is on map on the right place but when I try to search for Billa, I got no result at all! This is not only in this case but found more cases.How is this possible? I tried to search more POIs from the maps now and I found that I was able to find only this POIs from Lonely Planet, Michelin, WCities.. but none OVI maps own POIs. Other places like streets, squere etc are fine... Somebody with same experience. Note: I´m always online and all the maps I downloaded to the mobile.

I updated to 5.1 a few days ago, and now I can search for everything EXCEPT words that begin with H or N. When I try that, the enlarged letters on the keyboard freeze for 10 seconds, then disappear. Although the N or H appears in the search screen, no search results appear. I have tried shutting off various programs but that does not help.

I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem.Desktop quick search doesn't work too.
I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.
