View 1 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time, I experience that my Xperia X10 does not automatically sync e-mail accounts (using the supplied/standard e-mail application). I've set up a number of e-mail acocunts (6) with different update rates ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. I can go in to one of the accounts, whereby it syncs and I can see that I have received a number of new e-mails (for a period more than 6-12 hours, without receiving any type of notification.
This is really annoying since I miss important emails. What can be done to ensure that they sync automatically and that I receive notifications?
I found lot of POIs on the map which I´m not not able to find using the search function. Eg. around the corner from my house is supermarket Billa, its POI is on map on the right place but when I try to search for Billa, I got no result at all! This is not only in this case but found more cases.How is this possible? I tried to search more POIs from the maps now and I found that I was able to find only this POIs from Lonely Planet, Michelin, WCities.. but none OVI maps own POIs. Other places like streets, squere etc are fine... Somebody with same experience. Note: I´m always online and all the maps I downloaded to the mobile.

I updated to 5.1 a few days ago, and now I can search for everything EXCEPT words that begin with H or N. When I try that, the enlarged letters on the keyboard freeze for 10 seconds, then disappear. Although the N or H appears in the search screen, no search results appear. I have tried shutting off various programs but that does not help.

1. Ever since the upgrade from OS5 to OS6, I've been getting memory issues when simply browsing the internet. U get the message "The memory available on your device is low. Please close some tabs." just reading the news.
2. This is urgent. I just updated my OS6 and now my e-mail doesn't even work. Whenever I try to set it up under e-mail accounts "internet mail account", it just freezes or closes.
I've looked at the possible go to "mobile.blackberry.com" and go to communications but I don't see that option available. I also tried battery pulling many times to restart my e-mail service. This is coming close for me in drawing the line for BlackBerry phones.
I am using bb Curve 9300 right now but when I insert my card in bb bold 9780 (which I just bought, emails don,t work. It just asks me the passwords for my existing emails but when I enter my passwords, nothing happens. It asks me to log in again. I can't set up new emails on this phone. It doesn't give me option to set up new emails.

I've updated to the OS 6 and now I cannot setup my email accounts. Can't add or delete any account. I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem.Desktop quick search doesn't work too.
I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.
My touchscreen frequently doesn't register my input in either swype or normal modes. This seems to happen primarily when searching contacts. Swype may show the word suggestion but it never appears in the search window. The only solution seems to be shutting down and removing the battery. Just restarting doesn't work. Neither does switching input methods.

View 19 Replies View RelatedMy voice search doesn't work when I am on wifi data. It keeps thinking over and over and comes back with no results. But when I switch to mobile data network it works fine and returns the results right away. I can not even use speech to text feature while on wifi it, it does the same thing as voice search on wifi. I am not able to find out what the problem is. The formatting was incorrectly checked causing all caps. Just changed the formatting to correct that.

so, after some battery pull, decided to re-install the original SO. now i can see the name of my carrier and the full power of signal but i'm not able to make/receive phone call or text messages because it says: no service available.
i looked for any number to contact but i didn't find anything.
i've bought this 9800 to replace my iphone but i think i'll keep my iphone: with apple a problem like this will be solved calling the support center and receiving a new phone, with the blackberry.. it's better not to know! (one frriend of mine sent the bb to the support and it come back after 2 month still not working) any number to contact? or any person who wnat to buy my torch?

With the Curve I could search for items stored in notes and it would display any contact that contained the search criteria. I currently have a BB Bold 9930. When I do the same type of search it doesn't retrieve the contact. I spent a lot of time and energy to store needed information for quick reference and now it is useless.

When I connect my phone to the pc, the software searches for application updates with a window that pops up. Since I do not have an internet connection yet, this is quite pointless. There is a cancel button, but even when pressed it still will take upwords of 30sec-1min before the window goes away, and I can make my internet connection. Is there some way to make the software not search for updates? I am using version 5.0.1 on both winXP pro, and win7 pro.

Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. i get to the point where you have to select the email pproviders.i select gmail, enter my account name, then my password, press ok and it sends me back to the email provider selection list.
my only option there is press back or option.but back just takes me back to the begoning without any of the options being save.
It's a couple of days my phone doesn't sync and download new emails. I switched to Aquamail and it's working. I can't understand what happened to the stock email app
