I have reently bought a blackberry bold 9780, and it used to work fine untill yesterday. Whenever i try to search something like a name or message or an application it doesnt give me any result, it just keeps searching?
I have bold 9780,and my GPS doesn't work so is it necessary to have internet or blackberry services to make it work?I know that A-GPS don't need any other connection to communicate with the satellites also I tried all the troubleshooting process and it say that GPS update fails so is it necessary to have internet connection or BB services?
When i type a mail or forward a mail their is TO or CC, i write to a mail's first word but there is not auto search the mail id.my deatils are as follows :Black Berry modal 8520V5.0.0.592I am using yahoo, gmail and corporate enterprises account.Total 4 nos. of mail pushing on my handsetmy defalut messaging service mail is my corporate mail i.e.
As I mentioned video camera doesn't work, there appears something strange picture.. It records, but when playing this record the same strange picture. But photo works, I can take a photo.
Maybe problem with the firmware. I think camera itself works OK.
I found lot of POIs on the map which I´m not not able to find using the search function. Eg. around the corner from my house is supermarket Billa, its POI is on map on the right place but when I try to search for Billa, I got no result at all! This is not only in this case but found more cases.How is this possible? I tried to search more POIs from the maps now and I found that I was able to find only this POIs from Lonely Planet, Michelin, WCities.. but none OVI maps own POIs. Other places like streets, squere etc are fine... Somebody with same experience. Note: I´m always online and all the maps I downloaded to the mobile.
I have been reading a thread about spotlight not working until people updated to 5.1. Well, I have the reverse problem. I updated to 5.1 a few days ago, and now I can search for everything EXCEPT words that begin with H or N. When I try that, the enlarged letters on the keyboard freeze for 10 seconds, then disappear. Although the N or H appears in the search screen, no search results appear. I have tried shutting off various programs but that does not help.
I have over 1,500 contacts in Outlook and has successfully synchronized them with Nokia E72 (last firmware). But quick search in Contacts application simply doesn't work - I can find only few contacts - others just dissapear when I start typing correct letters.
I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem.Desktop quick search doesn't work too.
I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.
My touchscreen frequently doesn't register my input in either swype or normal modes. This seems to happen primarily when searching contacts. Swype may show the word suggestion but it never appears in the search window. The only solution seems to be shutting down and removing the battery. Just restarting doesn't work. Neither does switching input methods.

My voice search doesn't work when I am on wifi data. It keeps thinking over and over and comes back with no results. But when I switch to mobile data network it works fine and returns the results right away. I can not even use speech to text feature while on wifi it, it does the same thing as voice search on wifi. I am not able to find out what the problem is. The formatting was incorrectly checked causing all caps. Just changed the formatting to correct that.
I have a new BB Bold 9780 purchased a month back. I have BIS unlimited plan and should be able to setup 10 email accounts I believe.
The problem I have is with the 'Internet Mail Account' option within the Email Accounts in setup. When I click this option, nothing happens. The option doesn't respond to my click.
I know that I have workaround to setup email account through some links in internet and I have already setup my gmail account through the link. However, I would like to have the facility to add a new account through my mobile itself.
I suspect that the problem is due to an incorrect / failed update of 'Email Setup Application'. The version I have is 6.10.0804.1543
Is there any way to get this program updated ? or to get the 'Internet Mail Account' option working in my BB ? I am unable to delete the program through Application Management as the option of Delete is not present.
I am trying to setup the Dual Number option on the recently acquired Bold 9780. Whenever I am trying to ensure that call are diverted to the number in use, the message on the screen reads Divert failed. Please try again or change to "no divert" followed by Supplementary service error: Unexpected data value.Is the Dual Number option available on BB Bold 9780 ?
I have got a new one Bold 9780, the first time BlackBerry for me, when setting up the email I am not able to find the option "Internet mail account" but I have only the option "Enterprise account" possible?
My blackberry Bold 9780 is unable to find any satellites under clear sky. I have tried reboot and ensured all the location settings are correct . I remember it worked few times but all of sudden it stopped working and since then GPS never worked.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9780, i'm using v.6.0.0.294 on o2 in the UK.Over the past month i have noticed problems. I can't tell you what icons vanished first, but certainly Blackberry App World was one of the first to dissapear, now my phone lock has gone although i can search it and its actually hidden, it won't un-hide...Blackberry App world doesn't exist at all any longer on my Bold and even when i downloaded it again, it won't appear.(not sure if there are other icons missing these are the only 2 i've noticed so far).It says i am running the latest software so i dont quite understand whats going on.I have rebooted several times, no luck.I have been on the Blackberry menu and looked for a way to unhide my lock icon and it wont do it.
i just updated my bold last night and after the update the phone was supposed to restart and when it powers up and the blackberry sign come and its loading, it does so to some point and just goes off, then restarts again.
Last night when I had my earphones in my Bold 9780, I pulled them out quite quickly,and now whenever I try to use earphones in my phone, they don't work.Music plays fine through the speakers, yet as soon as I plug the earphones in, a red bubble with a line through the headphones pops up on the volume control, and no sound comes out. Will I need to take my phone in for repair?
i have a bb BOLD 9780.I noticed that i did't receive anymore notifications on fb.So at the BB APP WORLD i saw there was a new fb version so i updated my facebook to the new version.I did reboot my mobile phone,disintalled and reinstalled facebook but it doesn't start anymore.It gives me a message ending with ''too many applications loaded''
My new Bold 9900 has stopped automatically searching for the network, so basically every time I go on the underground, it loses reception (obviously), but then it doesn't automatically find it again when I am out in the open. I don't think i have changed any settings..
Hi! I have downloaded the program Line from Naver... I Instaled it on my BB Bold 9780 and when I want to use it it shows:"could not access your previous user information. Do you want to delete it?"With the options delete and cancel.If I press Cancel, it shuts down the app but if I press delete it blinks and shows the same message again...I have the same problem on another BB Bold...There is some cache that I have to erase or something?
I got out a new contract after my bold 9780 broke..I upgraded to the bold 9900 (white), I wanted to keep my old number so i decided to switch it... I got my pac code and this worked..It took a day and then it was changed, however since doing this my blackberry server (bbm+internet) wont work..It worked perfectly fine before hand.. i have rang vodafone and they have said to wait 24 hours, which i have done so.. i have also sent a new request to the blackberry server and still nothing
I have a BB bold 9780 since 2 years. Since 3 months my BB shutdowns without reason, and sometimes when it reboots the trackpad doesn't work. So I have to reboot (remove battery) until the trackpad reworks.
Not sure where to post this, but my wife and I both have the 9700. Yesterday hers quit working. The phone works and sms works.Anyways my issue is this, I am using it for personal use, but cannot send/receive pin messages, my bbm doesn't send/receive invites, and it won't let me setup a personal email.When I click on setup/email the only option available is to add an enterprise email and asks for the enterprise password.Any ideas as to why this is happening or ways around this so I can use my bbm and setup my personal emails to automatically send to my phone like I had before? Mine still works perfect. Any ideas on what needs to be done to get her email set back up and bbm working again ?
After i activated my enterprise account the contacts wont sync . I the Contacts there is no Lookup option to reply the available users.
When i activate the enterprise account using Desktop Manager the contacts are synced two ways (as there is an option on the manager) the look up option on the device is active and displays all the contacts on the server.
My Blackberry search option is not working.earlier when i used to press any button this used to open all the option starting with the letter. This used to happen when I was on home-screen but its no longer working.
