i just updated my bold last night and after the update the phone was supposed to restart and when it powers up and the blackberry sign come and its loading, it does so to some point and just goes off, then restarts again.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9780, i'm using v.6.0.0.294 on o2 in the UK.Over the past month i have noticed problems. I can't tell you what icons vanished first, but certainly Blackberry App World was one of the first to dissapear, now my phone lock has gone although i can search it and its actually hidden, it won't un-hide...Blackberry App world doesn't exist at all any longer on my Bold and even when i downloaded it again, it won't appear.(not sure if there are other icons missing these are the only 2 i've noticed so far).It says i am running the latest software so i dont quite understand whats going on.I have rebooted several times, no luck.I have been on the Blackberry menu and looked for a way to unhide my lock icon and it wont do it.

It just gives me the following options in storage:
Compression (Disabled)
Media Card Support - ticked
Then just give the amount of storage available. I need to transfer contacts to this BB 9780.

I waited 15 mins and it still didnt do anything, so I pulled the battery out but it didnt work.The screen is working, as I can still see the dead pixel that was there beforehand, however it just black, with the one dead pixel.I tried downgrading it after the the firmware below (I'm not sure what it was originally on) but that didnt work either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have updated my software yesteerday as instructed through Blackberry,howvere now it wont turn on. It turns on so that the blackberry logo shows up with the loading bar loading underneath then about 3/4 of the way through it blanks the screen and starts again.
I have tried taking the battery out when it is running, I have also tried leaving the battery out and it still isnt working.
BB Bold 9780 is frozen for days. I downloaded an update from APP World and when I rebooted device it shows BB Logo and the loading line fills up from left to right but never changes screen. The phone is locked in this mode. Is there a manual reset pinhole? The update was for the Traveler APP upgrade free.

So when I woke it up, "app error 200" occurred on my bb screen and I had to reset it and stop the update. Now it won't turn on. I tried the battery pull but nothing changed. The progress bar on the welcome screen goes almost until its end and stops, after some time the same error screen appears.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated the BB Bold 9780 with RIM version 6.0 Packet 2475.Now it hangs a lot and draining my battery I tried downgrading it to the previous version but this seems not possible.Also its very anoying when the phone starts ringing and I want to pick it up, its not possible. There will be a sort of clock showing and the keyboard is completely blocked.The only solution is the remove the battery from the device and place it back in.

1. Ever since the upgrade from OS5 to OS6, I've been getting memory issues when simply browsing the internet. U get the message "The memory available on your device is low. Please close some tabs." just reading the news.
2. This is urgent. I just updated my OS6 and now my e-mail doesn't even work. Whenever I try to set it up under e-mail accounts "internet mail account", it just freezes or closes.
I've looked at the possible go to "mobile.blackberry.com" and go to communications but I don't see that option available. I also tried battery pulling many times to restart my e-mail service. This is coming close for me in drawing the line for BlackBerry phones.
No offence but the official OS update doesn't work.
Mines been hanging for at least 30 minutes and if the only way to help is to get suggestions from non-blackberry employees while the support services hide away then the phone may as well go back and I'll, get an iPhone.
It shouldn't be up to the people on this forum to be left to do things themselves. Blackberry needs to get involved with all the problems and questions their updates are causing.
My bbm display picture doesn't update, regardless of how many times I change it .. I have the latest BBM 6.0.0.129 .. Also, my contacts have to change their display picture so it can appear to me, if they don't then it's just as if they don't have a picture!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a macbook pro and updated my blackberry to version 5.0.0.593. after I've done this, the wall charger doesnt work on the blackberry anymore. The battry only gets charged when i connect it with the usb to the macbook. I bought a new wall charger, but the same problems remains. Whats strange is, that blackberry shows the flipping clock (as it always did when I connected it to the wall charger and it loaded the battery) plus it shows the blue charging symbol on the top left.Last night, when I got the red battery symbol I connected it to the wall charger again, but I went out because of low battery.whats also strange is, after I pull the battery and put it in again, i get the following error message after the blackberry has loaded: "Uncaught exception: Index 4 >=4"

View 6 Replies View RelatedI plugged my Torch 9850 into wall charger last night to charge. I woke up and the LED was slowly blinking red on and off. I pulled battery and that didn't reboot device. I plugged device into computer, and blackberry manager and computer recognize device when led is on but when led goes off it disconnects. It continues to go through this cycle of connecting and disconnect if connected to computer. Additionally, if I remove the battery the same process happens when connected to computer with no battery message on screen. Finally, with battery in but disconnected from power and computer the led still continues to blink but wont let me power on.

The connection is ok (I can select my network in the list and the phone is connected) but the "Blackberry" icon doesn't appear on the main screen near the wifi icon and it's impossible to connect the phone to Internet or email.
Using 3G connection all work fine but I'm abroad and normally I use this wifi network on my apartment that works fine (I'm also using an iPhone that works great, it means that the network is ok).

This afternoon my Iphone 3gs started to vibrate continously for about 2/3 minsutes whilst having a black screen. I then tried to bring the home screen up and none of the buttons would work. The power button hasn't worked for sometime so the remedy of holding the power and home button together won't work.
Is there anything I can do or is it completely dead with no chance of survival?
