I wanted to update my bold 9780 through BBSAK.I wiped it and soon it gave an error 507..Then I installed the new software on my PC and deleted vendor.xml. Then I used loader file to run it but then it says it BB desktop software does not have any software for BB device, please contact system administrator....And stops at the window which asks for .alx/.ali file

I waited 15 mins and it still didnt do anything, so I pulled the battery out but it didnt work.The screen is working, as I can still see the dead pixel that was there beforehand, however it just black, with the one dead pixel.I tried downgrading it after the the firmware below (I'm not sure what it was originally on) but that didnt work either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have updated my software yesteerday as instructed through Blackberry,howvere now it wont turn on. It turns on so that the blackberry logo shows up with the loading bar loading underneath then about 3/4 of the way through it blanks the screen and starts again.
I have tried taking the battery out when it is running, I have also tried leaving the battery out and it still isnt working.
BB Bold 9780 is frozen for days. I downloaded an update from APP World and when I rebooted device it shows BB Logo and the loading line fills up from left to right but never changes screen. The phone is locked in this mode. Is there a manual reset pinhole? The update was for the Traveler APP upgrade free.

So when I woke it up, "app error 200" occurred on my bb screen and I had to reset it and stop the update. Now it won't turn on. I tried the battery pull but nothing changed. The progress bar on the welcome screen goes almost until its end and stops, after some time the same error screen appears.

Some contacts were tripled, and doubled, some numbers were moved to different contacts, or deleted.
Is there a simple, or any kind of way to get back my old contacts list from a previous backup, while at the same time keeping the new OS, and replacing only this contact list?
Earlier today, my BB started doing something weird. When I get a new email, I highlight it and press the trackball to open it, but it opens the previously received email instead. If I hit the back button (taking me back to the email list) and then hit the new email again, it still takes me to the previous email. The only way to open the new email is to scroll up to the date and then back to the email, which will then open the correct one.
Also, if the new email is highlighted and I delete it, it deletes the previous email instead.
I've tried a battery pull and it doesn't help. I'm on a TMO 9700 running OS .330.
I had everything working fine on 5.0.592 for a week or more. I tried to restore some contacts from a prev backup and now all the sudden my email functionality is messed up. I have it linked to my GMAIL acct. Things I noticed since that contact backup is now when i go to delete a message, it will not prompt to delete from device only or device and inbox Also I can hit reply on some, but when I go to send, there is no send option. And lastly when I delete from my phone, it does not mark as read or delete from my inbox. i checked all the settings I can find. But nothing changed.

I received a message on my XPeria Mini Pro about the 4.1.B.0.587 Update. In fact, I can not install it. When I start the PC Companion software, it finds the connected Phone. Then I click on update. In the following window I click "Accept" and then the software should prepare the PC for the update. But after one second it stops and returns to Start without any comment. When I start Sony Mobile Update Service then it checks for new updates. As soon as the check is over, the program terminates without any comment. Is there a third way to upgrade?

In January 2011 I purchased a new Bold 9780 and I just loved it. Yesterday on my phone I received an opportunity for a device update. After it indicated that it would take over 2 hours to install and during which time I would not be able to use the phone I tried to prompt it for a remote start at 2:00AM (then I would have time to do a back-up)...pressed save after making the time prompt and it still started the update immediately. I shrugged it off and let it do it's thing. Almost 3 hours later, it still wasn't up. I was still getting a white screen with the small black box with second hand spinning in the centre of the screen then it would give me a download bar that would only load to 50% then the screen/phone would shut off, red indicator light would come on, then a white screen again....repeat! Contacted my service provider and was told that it sounds like it just needs more time to do it's thing. I plugged it into the wall so that it wouldn't run out of juice and went to bed. Woke up at 4:00AM, checked the phone and there was no power, black screen and no indicator light on. I WAS UNABLE TO POWER UP THE PHONE. Still plugged in, I pulled the battery. I then got a red indicator light but nothing else. Put the battery back in and the indicator light went out and, once again, the phone was dead.

I selected the device in itunes10 and the. Held down "option" and clicked "update" I selected the downloaded file and it looked like everything was working. But, then it said that it couldn't install the update because it couldn't reach the apple update server... Isn't that the point? So t doesn't need to hit the server?
