Today I have got the firmware update of 4.1.B.0.587 for my Xperia Pro (MK16i) but I fail to find any difference from the previous ICS update.Can any body tell me what is new here?
View 2 RepliesI do the update to 5.1.1 from the phone, but the update fail and the phone die, I try to unlock the bootloader, but I can't, y flash the boot by command and put the twrp. then i try to flash from the sony flasher this two files the US 23.4.A.0.546. and the hk 23.4.A.0.546 but both get stock in the system.sin after that my phone die in full again. So I flash the boot with commands and install the recovery and flash those two files again. With both give me error so I flash again with hk and my phone revive but I can't use it because I need the US rom. That's why I'm asking for the rom 1288-2987.4

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed a sound differnce.Its a bit low in this "2.1.1.A.0.6" and the quality is a bit low.I'm talking about the music player and the radio.When playing music without headphones the sound is like on 80 % instead on 100% when increasing the media volume to max.On the older 2.0.2.A.0.24 SW version I had to decrease the volume on 80%,it was verry good and loud also.I'm using x10 mini.

I get a page telling me to learn more about android 4.0 before allowing the "Continue" button to be pushed. After reading it, I push the "continue" button, but at the start of step 2 PC companion just goes back to the home screen.Software update through phone: "You have the latest software and applications from Sony Ericsson. Your phone is up to date!" (android 2.3.4, build 4.0.2.a.0.62)

And I had many....And eager as I was to get the new upgrade, I didn't write down all these notes on a reliable piece of paper with a reliable pen to secure that I wouldn't miss them afterwards IF they were to disappear!I followed all the steps at the sonyericsson webpage, and noticed that it said on the webpage that all things NOT included in the backup, which I was supposed to do before upgrading, would NOT be "disturbed" by the upgrade.. But here I am now, sitting with my phone WITHOUT any of those important notes!

It starts alright, but stops in the middle of the process claiming it has connection problems, and advising that I restart my device and try again (which I did of course). Is it a known problem? Is there a way to restore my content?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to update to ICS Android 4.0 on my Orange branded S2 NFC. I was told by Orange support to download Kies. I did, had a few problems getting the phone to connect to the software including a few driver crashes. After it finally connected, it offered me ICS which I accepted. But every time I have downloaded the update it then fails saying "Failed to run firmware upgrade. Unknown error occurred."
I have uninstalled kies and the driver from my PC (windows 7 home premium 32bit) and reinstalled to no effect. Turned off the phone, taken out the battery, turned off wi-fi and data.
If it wasn't for the fact the orange "signal boost" app has been quite useful in my dead zone of a flat I would root the phone and unbrand it and download the update off the net.
I just wanted confirmation as to whether or not Photon users who are affected by the failed update can utilize the Lapdock 100 still (as one of the things stated in the update was Lapock support). I would figure that we should still be able to use the dock because the other docks have been out for a while now and they too use webtop, however I wanted to be sure before I purchased the dock if possible (as I want to pick up the dock as soon as possible).

With 1.6 I could chose a contact and then dial directly, or import the phone number (however it was not as great as the old symbian OS where you even could navigate directly to a contact). Is it someone that has any idea of a good app or something that makes this possible (maybe a Symbian simulator. I have also realized that the connection (dB) has decreased with the new OS. I even loos connection on the E4, with this phone (Xperia X10 mini Pro).

I was just curious if doing a factory reset as my phone is currently configured would automatically upgrade me to lollipop or if it would do a fresh Kit Kat upgrade and prompt me that an update is available?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.
They look nearly identical.

no flash after black [this looks most like the real thing] . Notice similar issue with the yellow tint not being fixed after updating to Black?Also forgot to mention, all setting were on auto, on the top two shots, on the no flash one, change from auto flash to no flash.
differences between gingerbread .42 and .62? I dont know wich of those stay. I downgrade to gingerbread after ics and i used .42. Then I root and after that and I upgrade trough FOTA to .62 but my phone got bricked because I have the bootloader allowed. I found a way to rapair and now I dont know if stay with .42 rooted or use flashtool to stay with .62 without root.
