View 3 RepliesI do the update to 5.1.1 from the phone, but the update fail and the phone die, I try to unlock the bootloader, but I can't, y flash the boot by command and put the twrp. then i try to flash from the sony flasher this two files the US 23.4.A.0.546. and the hk 23.4.A.0.546 but both get stock in the system.sin after that my phone die in full again. So I flash the boot with commands and install the recovery and flash those two files again. With both give me error so I flash again with hk and my phone revive but I can't use it because I need the US rom. That's why I'm asking for the rom 1288-2987.4

It starts alright, but stops in the middle of the process claiming it has connection problems, and advising that I restart my device and try again (which I did of course). Is it a known problem? View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to update to ICS Android 4.0 on my Orange branded S2 NFC. I was told by Orange support to download Kies. I did, had a few problems getting the phone to connect to the software including a few driver crashes. After it finally connected, it offered me ICS which I accepted. But every time I have downloaded the update it then fails saying "Failed to run firmware upgrade. Unknown error occurred."
I have uninstalled kies and the driver from my PC (windows 7 home premium 32bit) and reinstalled to no effect. Turned off the phone, taken out the battery, turned off wi-fi and data.
If it wasn't for the fact the orange "signal boost" app has been quite useful in my dead zone of a flat I would root the phone and unbrand it and download the update off the net.
I just wanted confirmation as to whether or not Photon users who are affected by the failed update can utilize the Lapdock 100 still (as one of the things stated in the update was Lapock support). I would figure that we should still be able to use the dock because the other docks have been out for a while now and they too use webtop, however I wanted to be sure before I purchased the dock if possible (as I want to pick up the dock as soon as possible).

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.

Haven't had time to read up on who else this may have happened to, but tried upgrading this morning via PC Companion and I recieved a fail message, asking to try again. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

She has unlimited data so that's not a concern. I can understand typing in your password to BUY an app, but to have to enter it for every iTunes transaction is really annoying. I have a Galaxy Nexus and can set it up to not give me update prompts. Is there a similar option for the iPhone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSigned up to the forum just for help resolving this issue. I'm currently running OS4.6, trying to update to OS5. I know that the 9000 application memory is SO limited that one has to remove all applications before attempting the update.
So here I am, a completely blank BB Bold, no applications, photos, texts, contacts, etc. I still receive the error message on BB DTM that says I need to remove another 3mb of data before I can continue with the update - but there is literally nothing else I can remove. I'm running DTM on a Mac - I hear that may be cause for some problems as well?

Your BlackBerry Application Loader needs to be updated before your can continue. Do you want to update now? [Yes / No]
When I click YES, the Desktop Managers starts to download the Application Loader update. Then I am instructed to close the Desktop Manager so the setup can continue. After the setup is complete, the Desktop Manager starts on its own again and directly tries to open Application Loader. And OOPPS !! it tells you again that it needs to be updated !!! I kept doing that for over 5 times! and I am still getting this wierd messages !

I seem to be having the same problem as others with the email setup application.
When I updated my Blackberry to the new OS6, I went to my email setup and it said "looking for updates" It finds a new update from my already installed email setup app 6.0.0 to the new 6.11.0419.0755.
When I click "download" it says replace existing version? I click "yes"
The it says: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by email setup application. If you proceed, "email setup application" may cease to function properly. proceed?
If I click "yes proceed" it crashes my blackberry and it will not reboot and I have to do a complete hard reboot, wipe the device and reload everything from my backup on blackberry desktop.
If I click "no" not to proceed, I cannot open the email setup application.
I have tried downgrading to version 5 of the OS, I have rebooted with a battery pull, crashed my blackberry twice and spent hours reloading all my applications and systems. I am at the end of my rope, and I don't know what else to do?!
If there was a way to turn off the automatic search for updates on my device under the setup and email settings, i think I would be able to set it up in the older version 6.0.0
I have a Blackberry 9360. I've just run the Blackberry Desktop Software. It shows that I can update the software for my phone. However, whenI try to it comes up with amessage that says an error occurred, and I can't install it. My internet connection is fine. I've tried this a number of times with same result !! Any ideas what's wrong, or how to fix it ?Also, when on Blackberry Desktop Software and I click on 'pictures' under te Media Sync, it shows I have no pictures. I did have pictures, and pictures show up against my contacts, so I don't know what's happened, or if this is related to my updating problem. If I click on 'Music' I can see a message that states that I have insufficient storage to media sync.
View 1 Replies View Related80-90% of the time when I am using the Desktop Manager software, I use it to make an internet connection. When I connect my phone to the pc, the software searches for application updates with a window that pops up. Since I do not have an internet connection yet, this is quite pointless. There is a cancel button, but even when pressed it still will take upwords of 30sec-1min before the window goes away, and I can make my internet connection. Is there some way to make the software not search for updates? I am using version 5.0.1 on both winXP pro, and win7 pro.

Good morning all. Yesterday BB app world informed me there was a newer version of ScoreMobile available. I checked the release notes and it said it was compatible for the OS running on my Storm 2 (v5.0.0.1015 - Bundle 1656, Platform 4.2.0.442). I installed it, but after restarting I received an error. I decided to do a battery pull and received the same error. I tried uninstalling the entire app and performing another battery pull and received the same error. I also tried booting into safe mode on my BB. On reboot, the first error is "Uncaught exception: Index 5>= 5" After I hit "OK", I receive this error: "Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.getOrWaitFor(0x7c802477365c3985) owner died Thread [Thread-94372864,5]" I hit "OK" and everything seems to go back to normal except I can't make phone calls and the BB is freezing. This device worked fine before this upgrade.
