When I received a call, I always received a full screen photo of my contacts (the photo I stored in my phone). Now, I receive the full screen photo on one of my contacts, but everyone else has changed to a small banner at the top of the screen, with a very small photo in the top right corner. I can't figure out why this happened, or how to change it back.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just switched to the iPhone 6 and I realize that when I'm on a phone call, my phone vibrates if I get a text or email, but no banner pops up showing what it is. When I had the iPhone 4s the banner notification would pop up on the screen so that I could see who had texted/emailed/etc. while on the phone without having to click into the notification center. Is there anyway I can change settings on my phone so that I can still get banner notifications while on a phone call?

When I rotate to put the charger on top (aka, so I can charge the battery while doing something so battery draining), nothing happens, the video won't rotate. I have recently updated my Bell Atrix to the latest version that came out. I did it OTA and everything went great. Some applications appear much smaller on the screen than they should. For example WeatherEye appears as if it were zoomed out. It also happens the same way with Swiftkey X beta, which shows up about 1/2 as big as it should.

How to have a full screen incoming call notification?
It's really difficult to reach the small drop down notification with just one hand...
has anyone experienced problems with their call log? It is set for 30 days but when I try to access "Missed Calls", "Received Calls" or "Dialled Numbers" nothing happens. Also when I press the green send key, no previously dialled numbers are shown. If I receive a missed call and press "show" I just get the home screen.

I dont remember when the incoming call picture became so small, but I have noticed that on my iPhone 5S that is running software 7.1.1 is a little circle. I liked it much better when the incoming call photo took up the whole screen. Any setting that I can change, or is it a software update issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI always use WhatsApp web. Before getting my Lumia 950 I used Android: when I received notifications on WhatsApp web the screen of the phone remained off so the battery wasn't suffering much.
On WP I first turned off the notifications on lock screen: then I realized it wasn't even making sounds nor vibrate! Then I turned the banner in WhatsApp notifications settings off: now the notifications are there without turning on the screen, but I have no banner even when the phone is unlocked.
Is there another way to prevent for every app the screen from turning on when locked and a notification arrives, and show normal banners when unlocked?
Since a couple of days ma Nokia C7 always shows the small green circle next to Show open applications in the options on the home screen, even when there is no software running.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI came over when the Palm Pre faded away. So far I have found ways to tweak everything I thought needed tweaking. However, there is one thing I'd like to change that I haven't figured out.
Occassionally, such as when attempting to install an app for which there is insufficient space (not sure why I got that message, there was plenty of room), the phone will briefly popup a small message. However, this message is entirely too small, displayed too briefly, and for some reason fairly transparent. Even when I do notice it, I am rarely able to read it before it fades away.
Is there some way to configure this message to be more useful?
I am just wondering if I am using FaceTime with someone who has Sprint if it will show up on the online call lon through the Sprint website??
View 1 Replies View RelatedPhone, FaceTime and Find My Friends in iOS show full names of your contacts. I cannot find a setting to show nicknames instead. You can show nicknames instead of full names in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Short Name > Prefer Nicknames only for Messages, but not for Phone, FaceTime and Find My Friends. I know editing the contacts would do the job. But it would be very dodgy as nobody's first or last name is 'Mum', 'Uncle Bob' or 'Shaggy'. Is there a way to show nicknames instead of full names in Phone, FaceTime and Find My Friends?

iPhone 4s just updated with IOS 8. Now my calendar does not offer the full list of items by day on the screen. Instead I see the month and below the month are the appointments in a list for the selected day only. I would like the option to have the full list available as it is much easier to scroll thru the list when making appointments.

After about a month, my new iPhone 5s has started waking me up at night with an audible tone and vibrating. This seems to happen when the battery reaches 100% charge. Since iOS 7 apparently doesn't have a full battery alarm I stumped about how to disable this. I've thought about using the "Do no disturb" mode but I sometimes use my phone as my alarm and don't want DND to also silence the alarm. Is there some feature I don't know about that I could turn off to stop these nightly disturbances? (It hasn't always done this but just started about a week ago!)
