Whenever a banner alert appears from my home screen, it prevents me from going to open a different app. This is happened when using WhatsApp so I don't know if it's a third-party issue.Â
For example the banner alert is from WhatsApp, but I can't tap on the app itself, I have to tap on the banner alert. I try tapping on different apps and it won't let me.

When I opened my browser on my phone I accidentally clicked Save Request on the menu and it left an alert/icon on the home page next to where my message alerts and things are...the icon looks just like the yellow web browser icon and I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of it.Every time I hit Save Request the number next to the icon just adds to the original one-Someone.

From now, I just have the next event for the current day, not for the seven next days (before this nokia I had a WM phone and I can read the next event on the home screen for the next 7 days, it was very fine). Basically, when your phone has been auto-locked, is there a way other than the ridiculous little light flashing once to alert you to a new message? I often have my phone on silent during the day and can't see this little white light (notification light/menu button). On my previous phone, the whole main screen used to light up when I received a text but I can't find a way to do that on the X6.
I thought I had found a quick fix as it seems to do it if the screen is unlocked then the backlight will go off, however, then the auto-lock kicks in and I'm back to square one again!! Please can anyone advise me on either:
1) If there is a way for the main screen to light up when you receive a message if your phone has been locked (i.e. black screen)
2) Or if not, a way to turn off the auto keyguard lock?
It's gonna drive me completely round the twist if I can't find a solution!
I've only had this phone for a month and now the ringtone/alert shortcut on the home
screen is no longer working!
I use the trackpad as well as touchscreen on the icon but nothing happen. Or else I just have to return it and get a new one.
I'm using Nova Launcher. Whenever I exit my applications with the home button, it directs me to the homescreen selection/dial (not sure what the appropriate name is). . :/

When I received a call, I always received a full screen photo of my contacts (the photo I stored in my phone). Now, I receive the full screen photo on one of my contacts, but everyone else has changed to a small banner at the top of the screen, with a very small photo in the top right corner. I can't figure out why this happened, or how to change it back.

I always use WhatsApp web. Before getting my Lumia 950 I used Android: when I received notifications on WhatsApp web the screen of the phone remained off so the battery wasn't suffering much.
On WP I first turned off the notifications on lock screen: then I realized it wasn't even making sounds nor vibrate! Then I turned the banner in WhatsApp notifications settings off: now the notifications are there without turning on the screen, but I have no banner even when the phone is unlocked.
Is there another way to prevent for every app the screen from turning on when locked and a notification arrives, and show normal banners when unlocked?
The release notes for Ice Cream Sandwich say that I should be able to launch the camera from the lock screen: but how do I do this...?

I can move them around, delete them, add widgets and shortcuts and stuff like that. BUT I can not add an app by selecting the 'add to homescreen' option. I cleared teh cache and am not runnng any boot loaders of the type. Up to date droid x.
