Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Apps Installed But No Icon On Home Screen?
Nov 1, 2010Checking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixing drop its icon for me to be able to use it ... from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem!I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.

Reason being, I found a cool live wallpaper "analogy clock live wallpaper" which serves purpose of a analog clock. And obviously I do not want any widget to cover this LWP.

Jan 6, 2011my email app and my browser have been force closong randomly but now my homescreen, I have to restart it or wait 10 minutes. what is the problem, why cant sony update the phone. I have sent emails to sony to tell how to stop but no response? I will get another phone if they dont fix this. Nov 25, 2011my x10 mini is stuck in a cycle of switching its self on and off again before it reaches the home screen, been like it for 2 days, was fully charged when it started and drained the battery eventually doing this, put it on charge and it started the cycle again, and i can't connect it to a P.C via usb because it's not on long enough to recognize the device.

since I updated to 2.1 any long press on home screen or corner icons goes directly to edit either widgets or icons depending wich screen I have up. This is anoying because many times I press just a little too long and for example end up in the edit icons mode instead of opening messages like I wanted to.
Is there anyway to get this as it was on 1.6? Long press didnt open edit, the only way to open edit was trough menu key.

May 13, 2010I recently got my new mini back from the local Nokia Care centre after repair (Screen broke). Before it went for repair it was perfect and did all I needed it to do. Now however I have a multitude of problems. Most of these I have resolved with a little bit of research. For some unknown reason when I try to add content to one of the three single app "windows" I get a very restricted selection of apps to add. ie Wlan scan is not on the list. If I edit one of the multi app windows, all of the apps are there, so it knows where the apps are..
Also I have another query. Is it possible to re-install the firmware as opposed to updating it ? It was on all of the previous Nokia's I had, but this does not seem to be an option with the N97 mini. I feel that my local Nokia centre is a bit short in the expertise department and I am somewhat loathe to take it back to them in case they screw it up completely.
