Nov 6, 2011I am getting a SIM card full notification just about daily. I have noticed no functionality failure. I have deleted all contacts from the SIM card. The phone at preset has exactly two SMS messges showing in handcent and is displaying about 15 emails in the gmail applet. I am sure I am missing something.

May 23, 2010Below is a relisting of a current problem I have not managed to fix.I have the latest firmware installed on my N97, but after the latest upgrade (clean install was done, mass mem refromatted, hard reset, etc') On checking over the phone I started getting messages that the Mass mem' was full (Not so) I eventually traced it to my 8 gig mem' card, (is coming up with the message that the memory card is corrupt, I have now tried 3 different mem' cards) cos after this was removed the phone worked perfectly again, I tried reformatting the card via the pc , same problem when the card was put back in, tried a brand new card , same problem, lastly tried a known working 4 gig mem' card, same problem?

Mar 13, 2012 I've encountered with my Xoom FE.I have no pictures, music, or videos at all on the device - only apps.I added up the total of every single app including data and cache and it only takes up a small fraction of the devices storage.when I checked the storage in the settings, it says I only have 4.15GB of the available space and that my apps are taking up 7.28GB.There is just no way I can see how that is possible.I should have the majority of the available space left.I could do a factory reset but that would bite.Is there anything I'm missing that I can try to figure out why it's showing up so much app space?Even with the caches and data cleared, it doesn't help.Also, I have a few downloads in there but they take up very few MBs much less a GB.
One other thing I have nearly the exact same apps with ebooks and a few games on my Galaxy Nexus and my older and smaller but trusty HTC Flyer tab.They both show my apps taking up a fraction of the space that my Xoom FE does.I use AndroZip Pro as a file manager and it shows the same thing so something is up.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Cannot Dial Out, Full Bars Showing
Oct 27, 2011I have a Motorola Atrix on AT&T. I've called technical support multiple times but still have the issue. In my apartment, my phone shows full bars but when I dial a call out, the phone will hang up right away. Other times it will hang itself up and error "call failed".
I've been to the corporate store where they have given me a new SIM card, but it still does not fix my issue. I am trying to figure out if this is a hardware or network issue so I can contact the right people to have the issue fixed.
If my phone is showing full bars that means I have network coverage.

My question/ observation deals with video play. Some sites show "postage stamp" that can be stretched while others show full screen automatically. Am I missing a setting to ensure full screen at all times?

Jun 28, 2011I have recently updated my Bell Atrix to the latest version that came out. I did it OTA and everything went great. Some applications appear much smaller on the screen than they should. For example WeatherEye appears as if it were zoomed out. It also happens the same way with Swiftkey X beta, which shows up about 1/2 as big as it should.

Aug 16, 2011I have an SD card the says "MICRO HC 8GB co8G Taiwan". It has a little circle that has a "4" in it. My Droid X2 is reading it as a 4 GB card and says it's full even though most of my apps are in the internal memory. When downloading app data it says there's enough room. When I removed the SD card, there are a number of apps that are checking as being on the SD card. When I "Move to media area" it changes to "Move to phone" which suggests that it just move the app to the SD card...which in not in the phone!
Is this a programing problem with the phone where it's not finding the SD card at all, or is this a faulty SD card?

Jun 22, 2011i own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

Aug 29, 2012i have an Atrix 4g (stock)running gingerbread 2.3.6 i noticed a file listed as LOST.DIR. on my internal memory when i open it the names of the files are listed as numbers ranging from 92 to 1315. 126 files in total. when i try to open them it keeps saying "unable to open this type of file". when i long click it for file options and click info it shows me file properties with the following info "? 98 TYPE:FILE, FOLDER:/MNT/SDCARD/LOST.DIR, SIZE: 4KB, MODIFIED ON: DEC 31, 1979 7:00PM". every file size is 4kb and they all say modified on Dec 31, 1979 @ 7:00pm. can any one out there please tell me what this is and if they are safe to delete or how to restore the files. i am very confused about the modified date, i was 2yrs old in 1979

Aug 7, 2012When having the camera save photos to the internal memory, or the SD card, then connecting the phone in MTP USB mode to get the files , the timestamps on the photos are incorrect. I'll take a picture at 5:00PM or something and the file is modified at 3AM etc.
I just took a photo saved to the SD card at 8:49AM and the timestamp is 3:49PM.

I thought Android was meant to manage the memory effectively but this appears not to the the case. One symptom of this is that it causes the webtop to regularly complain of lack of memory and results in Firefox automatically closing itself.

Feb 15, 2011I have a problem that my E5 keeps telling me it is out of memory, to the point where it has become unusable. I've deleted applications and messages, but it seems to keep filling up and either tell me memory is low or that it is out of memory.
Options -> Memory -> Phone Memory tells me that there is over 200MB in 'Other Files', but File Manager doesn't show them and neither does the file explorer I downloaded from the Ovi Store. So I have no idea what can be taking up all the space...
I don't seem to be the only person with this problem, and since I've deleted as much as I can I don't see how it can be my fault! I am getting so frustrated with this phone

Jul 24, 2011Why is it that the SD card on my Atrix is often not seen, and is there anything that can be done about it? Here are some examples of things that have not seemed to work with and/or recognize my SD card:
1. When my phone is hooked up to my car stereo via USB, the stereo finds audio files on the phones internal storage only, not on the SD card.
2. I have the app "Widgetsoid" which has a toggle switch to mount/dismount the SD card. Instead the widget mounts/dismounts my phone's internal storage.
3. I was using DoubleTwist for a while, but it was hit or miss as far as it seeing my SD card. Sometimes it would find my internal memory, other times it would find my SD card.
4. I had a BT system installed in my car temporarily, and it could only find audio files on the internal storage, not on the SD card.
The SD card seems to function fine with respect to file management when using my laptop and USB or Wifi. The music I have on the SD card functions fine with the stock music player and with ProAmp.
