When having the camera save photos to the internal memory, or the SD card, then connecting the phone in MTP USB mode to get the files , the timestamps on the photos are incorrect. I'll take a picture at 5:00PM or something and the file is modified at 3AM etc.
I just took a photo saved to the SD card at 8:49AM and the timestamp is 3:49PM.
i have an Atrix 4g (stock)running gingerbread 2.3.6 i noticed a file listed as LOST.DIR. on my internal memory when i open it the names of the files are listed as numbers ranging from 92 to 1315. 126 files in total. when i try to open them it keeps saying "unable to open this type of file". when i long click it for file options and click info it shows me file properties with the following info "? 98 TYPE:FILE, FOLDER:/MNT/SDCARD/LOST.DIR, SIZE: 4KB, MODIFIED ON: DEC 31, 1979 7:00PM". every file size is 4kb and they all say modified on Dec 31, 1979 @ 7:00pm. can any one out there please tell me what this is and if they are safe to delete or how to restore the files. i am very confused about the modified date, i was 2yrs old in 1979

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a strange issue with my N900. It started yesterday when I plugged into my PC in external stockage mode. Windows gave me an alert saying that the phone should be analysed because of a faulty file system. I ignored this message. I have now noticed that I can no longer save any data on the internal memory, on the microSd there is no problem. I have no idea how to solve this problem so any advice would be great.

I just updated the Blackberry Desktop Software, and thank goodness it's stopped using Roxio bloatware to transfer my photos off of my phone (Pearl 8110). Unfortunately, the new MediaSync doesn't sync with the internal memory of my phone, so it appears that my photos are stranded for the moment. I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem, and what solution you would recommend. I looked through the technical support docs, and I don't think I found anything that fits this.
1) Do I have to find an older version of the Blackberry Desktop software, transfer the photos, then upgrade again to the newest version with Media Sync and purchase a microSD card?
2) If I purchased a microSD card and installed it, would directing the camera to store on the microSD card automatically move over the photos I've already taken?
I accidentally deleted a photo gallery on my sister's LG 4. I tried all the recovery programs available online. Most programs do not recognize the LG 4 for some reason I read but don't remember. I am also not techy enough to root the phone. It blows my mind that this smartphone doesn't have a recycle bin or a go-back feature where you can recover deleted items.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've noticed recently that my Atrix will no longer unmount the internal storage (either when I select it from SD card & phone storage or when the Atrix is mounted via USB as a USB Mass Storage device). I have no issues with unmounting the external SD card.
When I try unmounting it from SD card & phone storage, it looks like it is going to unmount but doesn't and Unmount internal phone storage turns white again.
Could an app somehow be causing a lock on it somehow? Is there a way to find out which apps are utilizing the internal storage?
Since I got my phone in April, I've been experiencing this weird, random thing. Out of nowhere, my phone just loses the files stored in the internal memory/data of the phone. I have lost applications, pictures, music, and videos spontaneously.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had to move some apps to the SD card to free up memory. Well, I noticed something odd, and I'm trying to figure out what the bleep is going on. When you have an app in phone memory, the storage totals are significantly higher than if its on the SD card.
For example, Google's Sky Map app. On the phone, it takes 2.54Mb of storage for the app alone. But when I move it to the SD card, it's only taking 468Kb. So, um, what happened to the other 2000 or so Kb? Now, I know different storage media will have different requirements, and hence possibly differing memory used, but a 2Mb difference? Its an even bigger difference with other apps. Google Earth is about 15Mb on the SD card and 22Mb on the phone. And before somebody asks, no, its not just google apps, anything I can move does the same thing.
I have a droid 1, running 2.2.2 FRG83G. The phone is working just fine, but this is making me batty.
Is it possible to move an app to the 32gb internal memory from main memory. I know that the external sd card is read only but why can't you move an app from main memory to internal memory like you can with a phone? The move to sd card is always grayed.

Today, it can no longer connect to the internet. I connected the phone to the computer to try to troubleshoot it and that doesn't work. I really want to throw it out the window! I do have two questions about downloading music to the phone via MotoCast.1.) Is there a way to designate downloads to go to the External SD card instead of internal memory? It seems like it will only go to internal memory until you max it out and it gives you the option to move things to the external card. This seems like a silly step, couldn't it just go directly to the external card?2.) My music displays in playlists when streaming from my computer, but when I select download a playlist and disconnect from the computer (in a no-data environement) the playlist disappears and all of my music is just dumped into the app unoragnized. Is there a way to maintain the playlist after data is dropped and you can't access your computer?

To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.

On iphone it is possible to save a photo to your phone gallery off of a website such as facebook by holding the picture and an icon pops up asking if you want to save it. Is there something similiar on the atrix?

Set storage to SD Card and tried to save some pictures sent via SMS/text and am getting an "error saving attachment"I tired to change storage location to internal but that doesn't work either.The only thing that I can see that may be causing the problem is that the pictures were sent form a friend in Thailand and the file has Thai script characters in the filename.Is this a limitation of the phone/Android OS? When i take photos from the camera, some photos randomly becoming like panoramas...like titles (happens 1 out 50 captures : single photo gets broken out into multiple tiles and rearranging them in a random order)and i am not able to revert it back to what the photo originally was, Touch screen gets frozen Out(unresponsive) at times...currently i am just pressing the power button twice to over come this problem, When the phone is in the pocket and you are connected to the headset...if a call comes then screen is getting unlocked ..even though you are using hands free(wired in my case) for answering that call.. and options like loud speaker or other things getting pressed in the pocket... the dolution that i found out is adding another lock to the default android lock would solve this.
