Since I got my phone in April, I've been experiencing this weird, random thing. Out of nowhere, my phone just loses the files stored in the internal memory/data of the phone. I have lost applications, pictures, music, and videos spontaneously.
View 4 RepliesSince the recent update to Market I lose my data connection every time I go to "My Apps" to check for updates. The H+, up/down arrows and signal bars on the notification bar change color from blue-green to black and the data connection is broken. Other apps say "no network connection." Cycling power corrects. Have not experienced this problem with WiFi (only one attempt to date).
View 1 Replies View Relatedalmost since day one, i have not really had the pleasure of enjoying what 4g signal is really like. i'm in chicago, and when ever i'm either downloading music or streaming video (netflix, Internet) or downloading anything that requires data, the phone completely loses the 4g connection and takes at times up to 5 minutes for the signal to come back. if i keep the phone on 3g only it does not happen, but that defeats the whole purpose of having a 4g device. the "data saver" in settings is off.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed a strange behaviour during standby on my Xperia neo (FW 4.0.2.A.0.42). Since I use a brand new SIM of German network carrier E-Plus my Neo seems to randomly lose network signal completely. This sometimes even happens without any change of location. However, this occurs only in standby. As soon as I turn on the screen the network signal will be re-established immediately (-> screenshot below). As I can receive calls and text messages during these 'no signal' periods I would assume a software bug. However, I didn't notice this behaviour with a SIM of Vodafone which I had in use a couple of weeks ago.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, I had my N5 since 2013 and the battery as the updates went around was up and down until Marshmallow came out, it was amazing. Great speed , battery and everything, but i broke my own rule and updated to 6.0.1 as soon as i was able to. Well since then the battery isn't so good, and whenever I use heavy apps (primarily when i try to multitask between them) the phone will black out and will turn back on with a chunk of battery missing or it used to be dead. Again this only started with new update so I cant totally point at the battery being old as the problem, but as a new bug with update. I cleared cache and reset it. I tried to downgrade it but kept saying there was missing images and such.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening recently. I'll be sitting with a full LTE connection reading news when suddenly pages will stop loading in Chrome. Trying to launch Facebook or any other connected app at that point won't work. Check settings and I have full bars and all white/gray, not orange indicating a lost Google connection. Only thing that resolves it is to reboot the phone. It will work fine after that until a later date when the same thing happens. Not a tower issue either as this happens everywhere. Stock Nexus 5, not rooted and on T-Mobile.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I access the internal storage? When I connect via USB, the only storage shown is the SD card I have installed. I can't see the internal storage. I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please!On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I'm on my third Atrix. First was within 30 day window with occasional random reboot, it was exchanged. The second was perfect up until the new OTA where I had issues with 4.5.91 installing and it was replaced with an upgraded Atrix with 4.5.91 already installed.he current one is rebooting twice daily and it's getting a little old. My question is where to I go from here? I have to be able to be contacted 24/7 for work, and got my peepee stepped on last time. So I cannot wait for an exchange.Can I reinstall 4.5.91 somehow and start from scratch? I've tried the factory reset and every combination of installing and uninstalling various apps I have. Even went a few days with not restoring any apps! I'm really thinking this may be software related, but could be wrong!
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've noticed recently that my Atrix will no longer unmount the internal storage (either when I select it from SD card & phone storage or when the Atrix is mounted via USB as a USB Mass Storage device). I have no issues with unmounting the external SD card.
When I try unmounting it from SD card & phone storage, it looks like it is going to unmount but doesn't and Unmount internal phone storage turns white again.
Could an app somehow be causing a lock on it somehow? Is there a way to find out which apps are utilizing the internal storage?
i have an Atrix 4g (stock)running gingerbread 2.3.6 i noticed a file listed as LOST.DIR. on my internal memory when i open it the names of the files are listed as numbers ranging from 92 to 1315. 126 files in total. when i try to open them it keeps saying "unable to open this type of file". when i long click it for file options and click info it shows me file properties with the following info "? 98 TYPE:FILE, FOLDER:/MNT/SDCARD/LOST.DIR, SIZE: 4KB, MODIFIED ON: DEC 31, 1979 7:00PM". every file size is 4kb and they all say modified on Dec 31, 1979 @ 7:00pm. can any one out there please tell me what this is and if they are safe to delete or how to restore the files. i am very confused about the modified date, i was 2yrs old in 1979
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen having the camera save photos to the internal memory, or the SD card, then connecting the phone in MTP USB mode to get the files , the timestamps on the photos are incorrect. I'll take a picture at 5:00PM or something and the file is modified at 3AM etc.
I just took a photo saved to the SD card at 8:49AM and the timestamp is 3:49PM.
I am having problems with random and frequent disconnects with the Atrix 4G when on Bluetooth while connected in a car. Initially my setup was using a Motorola Roadster and while playing audio I would randomly not get sound, then shortly after I would get the message that the phone was no longer connected to the Roadster.Usually it would eventually reconnect, sometimes almost immediately after. This would happen sometimes as often as every few minutes, while other times it could play a half hour or more before encountering the problem.
Initially I was unsure whether it was the Atrix itself or the Roadster, but after having recently purchased a Ford F-150 with SYNC bluetooth connect, I am encountering the exact same behavior with random disconnects. Unfortunately with the Ford SYNC, I never get it to automatically reconnect, and I must go into the phone, turn bluetooth off and back on, then manually reconnect from the phone.Most of the time I have the Atrix connected through the Motorola Car Dock, but I think the same behavior has occurred out of the dock.I have never noticed this same behavior with other bluetooth devices I have - Jawbone Icon, Monster iClarity speaker. I don't know if I have enough data to tell definitively or not, but I think I have only observed this when the auto was in motion.
prior to the recent ota i had experienced many random reboots, usually when watching Internet video or listening to music while reading news app. i thought ota was supposed to fix some problems with reboots when phone was overloaded but since ota i am still experiencing some random reboots and warm battery under the same conditions as previosusly.

Had phone just over a month. In the last few days, it's been randomly activating/interacting with apps on my screen. Normally, it's a single 'touch'. On some occasions it's a flurry of touch events that I had to power the phone off. a couple of spots seem to have a higher tendecy.
System version 55.13.25.MB865.ATT.en.US Have not rooted it.
For the last few days, I've had a hard time waking up my Atrix. I push the power button and it doesn't react. I push it a few more times, and eventually it wakes up and works normally. My first thought was that the power/wake button was becoming defective, but I can press it many times in a row and it will sleep, wake, sleep wake, etc. No problems.
Then today I noticed my phone was shut off completely after I returned home from being out.
I booted it back up and the battery was showing 50%, so it clearly wasn't a low battery shutdown. I have apps that can monitor the system, and I've not found any that are using a lot of CPU or battery, so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
Is there any sort of a log I can look at, to try to determine the cause of the phone shutting off?
My phone decides it want to reboot itself. I mean, I certainly don't know how my phone is feeling, so it can take the initiative and give itself a good rebooting when it needs it. Also, I don't know what motorola is making their batteries out of, but when I turn my phone off (or it decides to) I suddenly have more battery than I did previously. This kind of technology should be used more often so we never run out of juice on batteries of any kind.

Both my Atrix and my daughters Atrix show this. Both show different random data in the line and it appears to change over time. Anyone know if this is intentional?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had any issues with the music player skipping about 30 seconds into any songs? Not just once but a few times while using. I run 25 to 30 miles a week and the music player is really getting annoying! I've tried 4 different sets of headphones and it's definitely not the headphones themselves maybe something internal. Also on my second phone here. The first one started randomly resetting itself, also had skipping issues. This one only has the skipping issues so far.

I tend to keep my phone's home pages as minimalistic as possible, only have one, and use Circle launcher on that one page to access my most used apps. Occasionally my phone adds a shortcut to a random app on a second homepage, sometimes its an Icon for an app that no longer is installed on the device. I really like the ability on the Moto devices to customize the # of start screens, the swipe up features of the locked icons at the bottom of the screen for a quick glance is a really nice touch, works great.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a variety of apps that create export or backup files. How can the apps access the SD card storage directly? I recently replaced (under warrenty) my Bionic and it was a pain. I backed up everthing (app data that is) thinking the "backup" was going to the SD card, since all I got was a file address (or name). Once I moved the battery, SIM and SD card from one phone to the other, I realized that all the files were on the internal staroage and still on the old phone, not the SD card. This meant moving all of the hardware back to the old phone, finding all of the files stored on the internal storage, moving them to the SD card, switching everything back to the new phone and moving the files from the SD card to the internal storage - all the time hoping I got them in the right place (which wasn't necessarily the case all of the time).

Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.
Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...
This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).
Am using the bb bold9900. I suddenly lost all data pictures,videos and music files.Am able to take pictures and the camera captures as normal but then the pic is not saved strangely enough the total number reduces and no picture saved. Same happens for music files or videos downlaoded or received via either bluetooth or email.Another strange thing is I still have pictures attached to contacts and the ringtone for my profileOther than that everything works well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just updated BB6 and lost much valuable data on sever apps I use for tracking my medical informaiton. For a diabetic loosing my glucose records is dangerous. I use Glucose Tracker and now not only is the data gone but I must buy the pass code again. The same goes for tracking my weight and my blood pressure. If I had known I might lose that data I could have made provisions or not have updated the system.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem that occurred today after a year of using Z2 without any issues.I've connected my phone to PC to drop/backup some important photos I've made with Win explorer (as usual, sd card, copy, paste to C:userdocumentsphoto... etc.)
And after the backup copying was complete I saw in explorer that 6 Gigabytes in Sd card were gone. I went back to see if photos copied properly and they did, but Z2 has erased also movies, settings, music and e-books from SD card... it went completely stock with only android folder on board.
Restarted the phone, see if it will recover SD itself but all media was gone, in settings, application some of the sony apps were dated to February 1970 ?!?! There was no background defocus and AR effect in 1970 right?? Scanned the phone and Win7 with Avast, Spybot 2015 and BitDefender... all devices and PC are clean and protected.
I recently used the BB desktop software to switch data from an older BB storm handset to a new BB Touch 9800 handset. At the end of the syn, i discovered that the data previously contained on the BB tourch 9800 handset are all gone. how the lost data can be recovered?
