I recently used the BB desktop software to switch data from an older BB storm handset to a new BB Touch 9800 handset. At the end of the syn, i discovered that the data previously contained on the BB tourch 9800 handset are all gone. how the lost data can be recovered?
View 3 RepliesI just updated BB6 and lost much valuable data on sever apps I use for tracking my medical informaiton. For a diabetic loosing my glucose records is dangerous. I use Glucose Tracker and now not only is the data gone but I must buy the pass code again. The same goes for tracking my weight and my blood pressure. If I had known I might lose that data I could have made provisions or not have updated the system.

I suddenly lost all data pictures,videos and music files.Am able to take pictures and the camera captures as normal but then the pic is not saved strangely enough the total number reduces and no picture saved. Same happens for music files or videos downlaoded or received via either bluetooth or email.Another strange thing is I still have pictures attached to contacts and the ringtone for my profileOther than that everything works well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem that occurred today after a year of using Z2 without any issues.I've connected my phone to PC to drop/backup some important photos I've made with Win explorer (as usual, sd card, copy, paste to C:userdocumentsphoto... etc.)
And after the backup copying was complete I saw in explorer that 6 Gigabytes in Sd card were gone. I went back to see if photos copied properly and they did, but Z2 has erased also movies, settings, music and e-books from SD card... it went completely stock with only android folder on board.
Restarted the phone, see if it will recover SD itself but all media was gone, in settings, application some of the sony apps were dated to February 1970 ?!?! There was no background defocus and AR effect in 1970 right?? Scanned the phone and Win7 with Avast, Spybot 2015 and BitDefender... all devices and PC are clean and protected.
Let's say I want to remove an IT policy from my Bold 9000. (with method 3 -> here ) If I do it , am I going to lose any data?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had one frustrating experience with my phone and it continues to annoy me. Since the past 6 months that i'm using my nokia 5800, one problem reoccurs frequently. Data on my memory card gets deleted by itself every now and then. I lose videos, music and images primarily every time.
The only option remaining then is to run a data recovery software on my memory card to restore to the lost data. This has happened 5 times in last 6 months and I have no clue why. I have seen many other complaining of the same problem in this forum but there's no solution. I hope to find on in this thread.
For your knowledge, i'm using 8gb micro sd that came with the phone and i'm already on FW ver 40.X which is the latest.List of Nokia phones I've used: 3310, 3315, 3200, 6600,3250, N73 ME, N95 8GB and 5800 XpressMusic (currently using this).

Currently touring overseas and internal memory was getting filled with media, transferred to SD card but found an empty folder after completion. Is there any way to find the lost media or reattain them? I really hope there's a solution as I lost quite a few hundreds of photos...
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust bought the device and I'm not sure because of teh missing SD card, how to handle my "best practises" for Samsung devices. Originally I stored music, videos, Whatsapp media, Titanium backups and so on on my external memory card. But this option is now gone. Is there any way to create a new partition as external sd card wich is recognized by apps and is not affected by hard resets (which is mostly necessary for custom rom updates) ? I don't want to get in a copy nightmare for every ROM update which requires a full wipe. Is tehre any solution? I can't be the only one who is thinking about this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOnly after the action did i remember that i had my bank details on their in the blackberry app store. i went round to delete the info and it wasnt simple. after reading the forums and seeing how to erase the info i am concerned about the message underneath the erase option which states you will not be able to email etc. from this device again.Does this mean until she creates a new blackberry ID for herself ?
View 5 Replies View Relatedalmost since day one, i have not really had the pleasure of enjoying what 4g signal is really like. i'm in chicago, and when ever i'm either downloading music or streaming video (netflix, Internet) or downloading anything that requires data, the phone completely loses the 4g connection and takes at times up to 5 minutes for the signal to come back. if i keep the phone on 3g only it does not happen, but that defeats the whole purpose of having a 4g device. the "data saver" in settings is off.

I'm best mentioning that my technical know-how is very limited in terms of phones, but I've accepted the fact I'm going to have to run a factory reset on my phone. So the problems I'm experiencing:- All of a sudden, apps start crashing one after the other. So much so that I can't even turn the phone off properly and just have to hold the power button down until it goes off itself.- Sometimes it just freezes, and when it does, it rapidly drains the battery.- Other times it just randomly decides to turn itself off (this has happened during the night resulting in me sleeping in for work because my alarm has failed to go off!)- When apps have crashed and I've had to turn it on and off again, all information stored (ie. texts, photos, Twitter feed) after the 16th October is gone!I've even went on Kies Air to start transferring photos, videos, etc. to my laptop, but even that keeps crashing, meaning it constantly disconnects from the laptop. I cleared out a lot of old apps I don't use anymore, but they reappear when I turn it back on, resetting back to pre-16th October like I mentioned.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just had trouble today with my torch, all of a sudden my incoming call audio does not work if it's handset mode but if it's in speaker mode I can hear the caller but audio transmit is not possible, the person at the other side cannot hear me when the phone is in speaker mode, i have to put into handset mode but in any case, there is obvious problem on the receiving/outgoing side.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I lose service for any length of time the phone appears to just give searching for it. I have to go into manage connections and disable/enable Mobile Connections and get back service almost immediately.
As not answering a call could cost me my job it would be pretty handy to resolve this.
I am on 7.0.0 Bundle 2290 and I only noticed this after the last couple of OS updates.
Obviously a reboot/battery pull resolves the issue temporarily but the next time I suffer an extended loss of service then it recurs.
Yesterday night, i updated my OS in my Torch 9800, it goes in 4 steps
1* backup
2* download
3* install
4* restore
During 4th step (restore), my PC has frozen, half my data is not restored... i miss more than 200 contacts (and other stuffs).Do you know where the BB Software does the backup and store the backup file ? There should be a way to get the backup files to restore at least my contacts but how ?
