Yesterday night, i updated my OS in my Torch 9800, it goes in 4 steps
1* backup
2* download
3* install
4* restore
During 4th step (restore), my PC has frozen, half my data is not restored... i miss more than 200 contacts (and other stuffs).Do you know where the BB Software does the backup and store the backup file ? There should be a way to get the backup files to restore at least my contacts but how ?
I just updated BB6 and lost much valuable data on sever apps I use for tracking my medical informaiton. For a diabetic loosing my glucose records is dangerous. I use Glucose Tracker and now not only is the data gone but I must buy the pass code again. The same goes for tracking my weight and my blood pressure. If I had known I might lose that data I could have made provisions or not have updated the system.

After updating my sk17 to 4.0.4 my status bar began to freeze. Every time i close applications - time stops, and every icon that was in bar stuck there. I asked some people, they told me to root my phone and replace some files. But I don't have much experience in rooting, so i am afraid of spoiling phone. Set my status bar back without rooting my se?

I upgraded my App world a few months ago, everything seemed fine, re-booted phone and it seems to be wiped off, cannot seem to locate it anywhere! View 3 Replies View RelatedI just had trouble today with my torch, all of a sudden my incoming call audio does not work if it's handset mode but if it's in speaker mode I can hear the caller but audio transmit is not possible, the person at the other side cannot hear me when the phone is in speaker mode, i have to put into handset mode but in any case, there is obvious problem on the receiving/outgoing side.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I lose service for any length of time the phone appears to just give searching for it. I have to go into manage connections and disable/enable Mobile Connections and get back service almost immediately.
As not answering a call could cost me my job it would be pretty handy to resolve this.
I am on 7.0.0 Bundle 2290 and I only noticed this after the last couple of OS updates.
Obviously a reboot/battery pull resolves the issue temporarily but the next time I suffer an extended loss of service then it recurs.
Had my Torch for 8 months. All of a sudden, battery bar shows quick power loss; by noon I am down to about 55%.

After i updated my new Iphone4S to ISO 5.1 i cant add contacts there is no plus sign and if i try other ways to add contacts it just close up and returns to the home screen, also when i go to settings then try to open( Mail, Contacts , Calendars) the same this happens it appears for 1 sec then closes and returns to the home screen.

Last evening,the i phone battery had died, after charging my 3g iphone, prompts showed a cable (connecting to itunes) update.
So i connected it and ran the update, it said after updating i could restore my contacts and messages. ( Earlier that day we updated our macbook to the osx lion and moved our moble me account to the icloud)
I was not given the option to "restore contacts, messages, information" ( As is customary when updating my iphone)
Note: After the update was complete, ( updated to 4.2.1) IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE 5.1. (BUT that may be because I have an old 3G iphone??)
Then all it offered me was syncing options, so I "sync"ed "it". Now, all my iphone messages, contacts, phone history, purchased apps...... are "GONE'

I have updated my Nokia N8 to Nokia Belle with Nokia Updater for Mac but I cannot find contacts, sms and notes. All disappeared and unfortunately I don't have a backup. It is urgent and important. At the end of the update it was asking me if I wanted to import contacts from another Nokia phone, but as it wasn't the case, I bypassed that option. Surely I did something wrong but I really do hope that contacts, notes and sms are saved somewhere on my Mac.
