On all other blackberrys I have messed with I was able to delete blackberry messenger just like any other application. On this torch though, I have tried to delete it from the phones application list, from the desktop manager and have tried to delete it during a device software upgrade.In none of these situations was I able to remove it, the option is always greyed out. How can I delete blackberry messenger on my torch?

I was inviting a friend to BB Messenger via a pin number. I mistyped his pin and how have a pending invite. I can't seem to figure out how to delete it. I select the invite and hit the menu but no delete option..

Friday I received a ton of requests (from unknown people) to add mine to their contact lists, which I declined. They each were removed from my message list when I declined them. However, one of the messages will not go away. I have clicked "decline" and have attempted to delete the message, neither of which has had any effect.
I have since blocked incoming PIN messages in my firewall with exceptions of "Contacts" and "Specific Addresses".

View 18 Replies View RelatedI have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
