I have just got a new bold and want to give my Torch to my daughter. How do i delete my email accounts off the phone ? when I try get into email account settings all i get is "Your device had a problem connecting to the server."

When i go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", then click on "Internet Mail Account", it simply circulates back to "Email Accounts". It keeps doing this repeatedly. I have done a soft and hard reset (by removing battery) and have updated software but nothing seems to help.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.

I have tried accessing via the setup menu, where nothing happens when I select "Email Accounts" (even after a hard reboot), and through the Options menu in the messages folder. When I access it from there I get a message that says to contact the service provider.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to delete my Gmail account from BIS. So I went into the email preferences and deleted the account. I then noticed that the mail folder icon for my Gmail account was still showing up, so I went in and deleted the Gmail service books. That seems to have removed the account. I now went back to using the Gmail app (the one provided by Google), but what I'm noticing is that it no longer shows the yellow star on the Gmail logo when I have new mail. It works fine on my wife's BB (she has the same model as me). The app does retrieve the new message, but it seems as if it is not recognizing it as a new message. Did I properly remove the Gmail account from BIS?
View 4 Replies View RelatedLet the guy in the store "sync" with Desktop Manager. No link through enterprise server until I can get to office computer but that's ok. I am trying to work through MSN account. But it won't receive emails, it won't send emails and it won't let me change the set up.
When I go into setup, it asks for the user name and password. I use my msn user name (inclusive of the @msn.com) and it says it is too short and must be 4 characters! It is! If I leave off the @msn.com, it says my info is wrong.
And I can't figure out how to remove the email account so I can try setting it up again.I did try to set up my gmail account - same issue.
