I would like to set up email on my Torch 9800 but when I select email accounts in setup menu the next screen is enterprise activation and does not offer the regular internet email setup.
View 2 RepliesI just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.

How do I get all the email setup options back?The Torch was to replace a Bold stolen the day before. It was PIN protected but not backed up, nor did it have recovery or tracking software. Is there a way to trace it if it used again?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy small business has recently moved to a new dedicated server and after working fine at first, I am now unable to set up any of our mailboxes on any BlackBerry device (tried Torch, Bold, Curve) on any carrier (Rogers, Bell in Canada and T-Mobile, AT&T in US). I try the basic setup (email address and password) and then when that fails, the advanced settings (which are necessary as my email username is non-standard; it is always username+example.com when the address is username@example.com and the mail server is mail.example.com). After a long "Processing..." I am told "Invalid email address and password. ... If the error persists, contact "my server" The thing is, all of these mailboxes works fine in any other email client with the same settings (Outlook, Thunderbird, iPad, etc) and as I said, worked fine a couple of times on BlackBerry before now not working at all. In a basic sense I am the administrator of my server, though I have been on with my hosting provider's support and they are baffled as well. This problem is not happening on any of their other similar hosted servers, just mine. whether there is some process, some address, something at RIM that must be permitted to communicate with my mail server tha could potentially be blocked somehow. My default mail server is Dovecot (including the BlackBerry "Fastmail" service, which worked fabulously before this started)

My e-mail setup goes direct to Enterprise Account activation - no option to select internet mail account or Enterprise e-mail. I have tried factory reset - just incase I had messed up during the initial setup of the new phone. software is V6.0.0.600 platform6.6.0.233). My 3 UK account is internet enabled (all works on my old Samsung Galaxy S phone).

I have successfully created my BB Account onto the Carrier Site and added the Email IDs these are reflected onto the device but as I am unable to open Email Accounts under Setup I am unable to Edit or Delete the Email Accounts which I don't won't on this Handle. Every time the Modifications have to be done by going to the Carrier website.

Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop. I cannot set up a particular email which is a yahoo email. I was successfully able to setup other yahoo emails. I remember that this particular email was linked to a former blackberry which was stolen about 19 months ago. On my old Blackberry Pearl I was allowed to setup Gmail in the same page. What do I need to do to get Gmail setup and running?I was told that it may take a few hours for the data stuff to kick in from Verizon. View 9 Replies View RelatedOn my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? 1. Re-installed the DM
2. Reset handset
3. Updated and downgraded the softwareon the handset
4. Changed SIM Cards
5. Security wipe of email and contacts.
Unit works fine but I cannot set up my email. I do not have an enterprise server at my work so I do not need to activate it but this is the only option I ever get when trying to set up emails.
I tried to set up an e-mail account and when I went on set up, email accounts, it said it couldn't connect to the server. Also when I try to log on to facebook, twitter, windows love messenger and yahoo messenger, it say that it cannot connect to the sever. What is the server and how do I connect to it?
