I tried to set up an e-mail account and when I went on set up, email accounts, it said it couldn't connect to the server. Also when I try to log on to facebook, twitter, windows love messenger and yahoo messenger, it say that it cannot connect to the sever. What is the server and how do I connect to it?
View 5 RepliesI have used the Nokia Messaging Email application for over a year now, without problems. I had to perform a complete reset on my phone (Nokia N79 v30.019). However, upon trying to re-install Nokia Messaging Email software, I can't get past the setup process, as I get an error message saying "Unable to connect to server. Try again later.", right after I choose the email service I wish to use. Shouldn't I be asked for my Nokia Email account login at this point, and not which Email service I would like to use? Is the server down or is it a problem with handset?

I have recently done a device switch to my new BB and two email accounts were part of the switch transfer.
One works fine, however my gmail acount has not been receiving messages. When I go into setup email I constantly get 'Cannot connect to server' and then it exits back to the setup menu. This means I cannot edit any email profile I have. Removing the battery and restarting has no effect.
Any way to delete the offending email account and re-add or getting it working.

I just bought a used Verizon Galaxy S5.Im using it on T Mobile. I have a personal and work email accts.I was able to setup my personal email but My work email just keeps saying cannot connect to server.I had them both setup on my old phone and I setup all my employees work emails with no problems..

Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop. In putted server host etc'' just as requested.At a loss as to how to set up e-mail FYI - yahoo and Google set up seamlessly just not with outlook. Have not had issue for past two years.
I cannot set up a particular email which is a yahoo email. I was successfully able to setup other yahoo emails. I remember that this particular email was linked to a former blackberry which was stolen about 19 months ago. Now I have another blackberry on another network service provider and it keeps saying update failed. I am starting to suspect that perhaps the email is still linked to that blackberry ....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.
I am running version 6.0 bundle 2647 --platform 6.6.0.223 While in set up and attempting to open "email accounts" the device either freezes or will not allow me to open the programme?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

I am trying to set up on a used BB bold 9700 i just bought my personal email using teh Email set up. I am receiving a message with the following: first it says connecting to email settings for about 1 minute..... then it shows your device had a problem connecting to the server, try again. and shows always the same.It is not tmobile, all other work great, calls, browser, etc.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI cant seem to connect to my ovi account via ovi suite (could not sign in), it asks if the internet connection is working.Though when i try log in via the ovi website I have no issues.
It wouldnt have bothered me but now it asks to log in for me to update the phone software so cant update. If this doesnt get resolved I am hoping that software updater in pc suite still works? I had this response from Nokia but not very helpful:"This problem could be related to security software on your PC preventing Ovi Suite from accessing the internet.

Email setup? When I go to the Email Accounts setup page, it explains that I can activate my enterprise account by entering my email address and activation password. I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. I'm just an ordinary user, not using the phone via my company - but I can't see any other option on the setup page. Is there another way I can setup email?

My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Trying to setup my email - pop3 goes through fine but, smtp comes up with 'Server does not support authentication'. All full stops etc., are in the right place, why did it set up fine on the Galaxy S and not the S2?

When I create the account in my iPhone it verifys and leads me to believe the account is functional. When i go to send/receive mail, I receive a "Connection to the server failed" error. I have port 443 open on my firewall and can send/receive from OWA.I have rebuilt the account numerous times with both SSL turned on and off (both server and phone side).I have no special policies configured on the server either.
