I recently had to get a new blackberry curve 8530 through a warranty, and am not able to set up my email because I only have the enterprise server option. I did not have this issue with my old phone, which was the same model, and no changes have been made to my plan.

I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. I'm just an ordinary user, not using the phone via my company - but I can't see any other option on the setup page. Is there another way I can setup email?

Everytime I go to email setup it takes me to a login page that says "blackberry internet service". I've tried logging in with pretty much every username and password I can think of and it just keep saying wrong username or password. I am not receiving emails on my enterprise mailbox and when I am trying to configure the mailbox, it says unable to contact the server and every time i try to configure enterprise email a mail comes to my enterprise id with following message "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server" and nothing happens after that. Even the other mailbox like yahoo etc are facing the same issue. After security wipe, I am not able to configure any of my mailbox on Bold 9780. I having been using this phone for last 8 months and it was working fine until last 3 weeks.

Now when I go back to email setup that is the only option that I have available for setting up email on my BB Bold 9700. I have an ATT 8520 Curve unlocked to work with a tmobile sim card and have a few questions...Now that's unlocked I cant setup an external email account (hotmail, gmail, etc...) that icon is missing from the setup section. how can I get that feature? can I also use the bbm feature? I added a friend (and vice-versa) but it just stays as pending. is it possible to bbm? for the above 2 do i need to get the bb data plan so they can work? I've read elsewhere that the best way to get the features would be to load the tmobile handheld software. I went to tmobiles site, I enter my ph# - select the 8520 - click on handheld and it takes me to their 'shop for phones' page. I guess they now by the number that i dont currently have a bb. So I tried a friends ph# from tmobile who has a bb and it still took me to the 'shop for phones' page. So I Am hoping it's just a link glitch going on right now. I did download from this forum the 5.0 OS "8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel860_PL5.2.0.47_A5.0.0.509_W ind_Hellas.exe" which obviously is not tmobile. What would loading this different OS allow me to do? Or what features will I have available? and I have lowercase 'edge'.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBlackberry 8530, email enterprise activation won't work. I've discussed the problem with both Sprint and our IT department at work without resolving the issue. Both say it should be working. Sprint's latest suggestion is to exchange the phone for a new one. (Which would be my third phone in a week since first getting the 8520) It retries, then occasionally the screen pops up to say the enterprise server hasn't responded with the options to continue or cancel. I'll be heading to the Sprint store this afternoon to either exchange the device or get something completely different.

However, upon trying to re-install Nokia Messaging Email software, I can't get past the setup process, as I get an error message saying "Unable to connect to server. Try again later.", right after I choose the email service I wish to use. Shouldn't I be asked for my Nokia Email account login at this point, and not which Email service I would like to use? Is the server down or is it a problem with handset?
