View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently had to get a new blackberry curve 8530 through a warranty, and am not able to set up my email because I only have the enterprise server option. I did not have this issue with my old phone, which was the same model, and no changes have been made to my plan.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEmail setup? When I go to the Email Accounts setup page, it explains that I can activate my enterprise account by entering my email address and activation password. I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. I'm just an ordinary user, not using the phone via my company - but I can't see any other option on the setup page. Is there another way I can setup email?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had an old BB curve 8900, am I had some problems with it and I decided to buy another one. On my old BB 8900I had Enterprise activation account. I received a new password and ALL the things I had on my old phone were synchronized on my new one. And I don't want that. So I've wipe out my phone. But surprise when I entered my Enterprise activation account all the previous things that I wiped out were on my new wiped out BB curve 8900. I don't want that. I want a new fresh BB! How can I wipe out everything, activate this account and have a fresh start. I love this function, I love that all my contacts, mails etc., were there, but I just want to copy a part of them. (I'm doing this because a while ago I've changed the language of the phone and in the upper right corner is a mark with "EN" and I really hate it, and I want it gone, but every time I change the phone, wipe it out, it reappears)...

BB 8900 (replacement just delivered...and the problem below started)
Device OS 5.0.0.411
Device Manager 5.0.1.37
Default Services: <my primary email> (I also have a second BIS email attached, but the CICAL for that one has been deleted.)
After struggling for days to get rid of the Device Default calendar (in addition to the calendar associated with my primary email and which is set as default under Default Services), I finally got my whole BB calendar on to the one calendar it should be on: the one associated with my primary email. And lo and behold, the Device Default disappeared. hallelujah, I thought.
Having cleared out the calendar using Device Manager, I then opted for a one way sync from Outlook to my new BB with its one and only calendar now, the calendar associated with my primary email and listed as the default under Default Services.....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to this forum and new to blackberry in general. I actually purchased my very first one saturday. I bought it used because I have big hands and did not know how well my fingers would work on the tiny keypad. I have a few questions. Please dont flame me because I have been searching and reading since i got home yesterday afternoon.
1.) This phone is a t-mobile phone and is currently unlocked and works with my AT&T service. Being the engineer that I am- Its hard for me to accept the t-mobile screen that comes up on start-up. Before I call and get my blackberry plan activated on my phone I would like to have all the bugs worked out. I would like to somehow make this phone think its an AT&T phone. I have downloaded crackmem and nuked this phone. I upgraded to the lastest version of AT&T software which is version 4.6, but when i power this phone up it still shows T-mobile. That drives me crazy.
2.) I read how to unlock the different vendor themes on this forum. I tried it and it did not work for me. I entered the vendor id number for AT&T. maybe I should have entered it for t-mobile. Like i said I am new and know dont know very much about these phones.
3.) I also have the OS system 5.0.411 downloaded and ready to install on my phone. I would like to figure out how to resolve the above items before I install in on my phone. I chose the 5.0.411 over the latest software because i like the unlock button on the top of the phone working. Its just convienent for me.
My main concern is I was the t-mobile start up replaced with the AT&T one. I know it can be done but I am a mechanical engineer not a software engineer and it was hard enough to write enough code to get through college, much less reprogram a phone.
Just wanted to ask as i found a bb 8900 lying on the road the other day....it is locked on a contract....is it possible to unlock the phone ....?and also will i need internet to use the mobile?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone not too long ago, and ever since the lock/unlock key on the top is very fussy and only works if pressed a certain way. I tried changing the lock button to the convenience key, and it works fine, except that there isn't an option to set it as the unlock key. Is there a way or program to set a key to unlock the phone? Or am I stuck using the dedicated lock button?
