Does BlackBerry have an encryption solotion without the use of the enterprise server. My company only has about 5 employee that have blackberries but we need to have encryption on them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning and had an "Enterprise Activation" icon on my screen. I didn't download it, so I have no idea how it got there (it was a rectangle or folder with a green arrow on it). When I clicked on it it went to a white screen and said "Encryption Regeneration" but didn't seem to do anything else. I looked for a delete option for the icon, but there was none on the list. I went to the Blackberry App World and couldn't find anything that suggested I had downloaded it, but when I browsed online I found an article that said you can download this whatever-it-is from Blackberry. I also had some upgrades that needed doing, so I upgraded Twitter, Yahoo, Google and MSN apps and rebooted. After reboot the new icon has disappeared. Could this have happened spontaneously for some reason? Or have I been hacked?

I am trying to get my Outlook email on my phone, and when I go to Device Options, under Enterprise Email, it says that Enterprise email services are currently unavailable because my administrator has not added my mailbox to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
I have checked Service Status and it tells me that:
Blackberry Internet service - Not connected
Blackberry enterprise server - Not connected
I have checked with my service provider and all is ok. I have taken out the battery 5 times, waited 1 min and let the thing reboot?

had to re-sync my phone with the BB Enterprise server, I inadvertantly entered the wrong password and there was no way I that could find to re-set and try again. We've been using 8900 handsets in the UK, over Vodafone for some time, and tyey work great... ...but now we have a new user who's bought a 9700, again over Vodafone, but this time in Germany. I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. I'm just an ordinary user, not using the phone via my company - but I can't see any other option on the setup page. Is there another way I can setup email?

I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!
