BB Bold :: Enterprise Icon On Screen - Encryption Regeneration
Apr 10, 2012
I woke up this morning and had an "Enterprise Activation" icon on my screen. I didn't download it, so I have no idea how it got there (it was a rectangle or folder with a green arrow on it). When I clicked on it it went to a white screen and said "Encryption Regeneration" but didn't seem to do anything else. I looked for a delete option for the icon, but there was none on the list. I went to the Blackberry App World and couldn't find anything that suggested I had downloaded it, but when I browsed online I found an article that said you can download this whatever-it-is from Blackberry. I also had some upgrades that needed doing, so I upgraded Twitter, Yahoo, Google and MSN apps and rebooted. After reboot the new icon has disappeared. Could this have happened spontaneously for some reason? Or have I been hacked?
Does BlackBerry have an encryption solotion without the use of the enterprise server. My company only has about 5 employee that have blackberries but we need to have encryption on them.
Just out of the box but I cannot seem to find the ICON or this option (Enterprise Activation) under advanced options. A coworker did do a few things and I think activated the Blackberry email but I need access to corporate email and have the password for the blackberry server.
i picked up my phone to find a enterprise activation icon had appeared on my menu, I hadnt performed a reset or even turned it off, when i select the icon it is a white screen that appears..what is this and how has it just appeared? my phone seems to working as normal just now, what should i do with it?
I just upgraded to the BlackBerry Torch for work. Enterprise activationi was successful on Friday and was able to access email and Enterprise Messenger. The next day, I could no longer find the Enterprise Messenger Icon. I've looked in every folder and it's nowhere to be found. When I go into Options it is listed in Application Manager and a button to delete
I recently installed BlackBerry Protect on my phone. I think it's a great app, with tons of potential to be useful. The only thing I'm a little unsure about is that in order for it to work properly on my Bold 9900 I had to disable encryption. The question I have, which I hope someone out there can answer: is that a big deal/ is it a smart tradeoff? I don't know that much about encryption, but it sounds like something I would like to have (Can you ever have to much security in a handheld?)
I am getting this popup on my BB "uncaught expectation: a browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME Type has already been registered with the browser." I am unable to play any video online.
Error occurs : the returned page type had no content type, and therefore can not be processed.
please help me in sorting it as i have tried with the wipe too. It worked for few hours but later again the same issue.

I bought a Blackberry Bold 9780 and took the BIS service. When I checked the encryption type as below copied from blackberry homepage, I can't find the "General Settings" and can't find the encryption type. Why and what is the encryption type in use with BIS? Can I configure it on my smartphone? Checking the encryption type on a BlackBerry smartphone. BlackBerry smartphone users can perform the following steps to verify the type of encryption used to protect the data in transit between their BlackBerry smartphones and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server: On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, click Options.Click Security or Security Options. Click General Settings.Scroll to the bottom of the screen. Under Services, the BlackBerry service specifies the type of encryption used (such as AES or 3DES).
url...My Xoom has done it again..I left it charging last night. When I took it off the charger this morning and pressed the power button, the screen would not turn on.Tried again to press power and still it wouldn't turn on the display.Only the notification light was blinking. So I was forced to hard reboot the device via Power and Vol+.When the device rebooted, the encryption unlock screen was displayed:Anyone have a clue how this would continue to occur? My device was not currently encrypted.I did encrypt it successfully once about a month or so ago, but didn't like the performance nor having to type my password each time to unlock the device. So I perfromed a Master Reset / Factory Data Reset. The device has been functioning fine up until today.
I have the icon for blackberry messenger in the message indicator area on my bold--even though I deleted bbm. How do I get rid of the icon? I don't use messengers, too many other ways to communciate.

I have a Bold 9900, v7.0.0.585 and on Sunday I lost connection to the Blackberry Internet Service and Enterprise Server. The status showing is "Not Connected". I have tried removing the battery several times and have also tried the SIM card in my old Blackberry phone but get the same issue. I did a radio activation test and got

Good day, I have a bb Bold 9700 running on the 6.0 server. I got a message with updates for bbm and twitter but was not able to execute them because I could not log in when requested to do so.I tried the reset password option just to make sure that I was entering the right one.I updated my thirdparty info.I also made sure that the device was registered with the wireless network. Each time I try to log in my "tries" (out of 10) keep going down and an e-mail is sent to my address that I registered the bb with. This is an example of one of them:This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.
