I have the icon for blackberry messenger in the message indicator area on my bold--even though I deleted bbm. How do I get rid of the icon? I don't use messengers, too many other ways to communciate.
I've checked other posts & not found this one described. It sits to the right of the yellow envelope showing incoming emails. It is slightly smaller than the yellow envelope, seems to be a grey envelope, with a black 'seal' and a tiny red circle on the top right corner which may have the number '1' in it - all very difficult to see.I've checked all my emails - all empty. No RIM messages either. No BlackBerry World updates.Removed battery & rebooted.
i have a new SMS icon on my screen. I already deleted all my SMS and the icon is still there. After deleted all SMS, i even send a new one just so I think it may reset the screen. No dice, then I tried battery pull, no dice either.
1. No email list on the main screen. In the settings, I have the following options (all names translated from the Polish interface, so original English names can be different) - "Email notification 1", "Email notification 2" and "Nokia Messaging email". The first two seem to refer to the default email program (not Messaging) - I cannot set any mailboxes for them ("There is no mailbox" error). "Nokia Messaging email" shows the "Set up e-mail" link on the main screen. With previous firmware and messaging I had another option "Nokia Intellisync" which triggered email list on the main screen. No such option anymore.
2. Email notifications are "on" in Messaging but when emails arrive there is only a sound. No icon (@) anywhere, no blinking.
i have downloaded facebook on my bb and it is the download folder.how do i put the facebook icon onto the main screen so i dont have to go round the world to access it.
I organized my screen for hours on my BB8330, created some sub folders and put all icons in order. And, I lost my "Options" and "Compose" icons, which is like the most important ones! I read all suggestions here. It is not hidden, it is not in another folder, it just gone. Now when I change the Theme, I do see it, but all my work is gone, and I like my current Theme of Sprint. Any idea how to restore my lost icons on my current Theme? Look like a BB common problem.
I previously had the blackberry bold with the old software and I was able to have saved messages as an icon on my main screen, is there any way I can do this on my new torch, I cant seem to find a way to do it?
Please can someone help me about the symbol on C905. There is a H on the phone, but trying to look up at the user guide couldn't find it. can anyone tell me what does it mean?
Getting "Uncaught exception:java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException" when trying to access text from main screen icon. I can still text if I access through contacts / recent activity if I've been texting them recently. I've tried power cycling but still get the error.
A few weeks ago, I had an issue where i wasn't getting sms alerts. I put it down to a one off or me just missing them. However, I'ts happened again. My inbox had 3 messages, that I'd not heard a beep for, I had no little envelope icon and no "New Message" alert on the main screen.
As a test, we sent a message to my phone, the message hit the inbox, but there were no notificataions. I changed the profile and sent another text.. same again, no notifications.I rebooted the phone and sent another message.. this time everything worked OK.I'm using a standard message tone as the tone alert..
I have read numerous threads but have not been able to get clear answers to these questions. I'm on the fence about picking up the N1,
1. Does the mail client allow you to create an icon for a specific email account on the main screen? I'm looking for something similar to my Blackberry where I have icons for each of the email accounts that the phone is monitoring. I don't care for the iphone where you have to click through the email client to bring up a different email account.
2.How is the media player?I hope to replace my ipod touch with the N1.I mostly listen to long MP3s of radio shows and have to frequently use my finger to FFW 10 or so minutes within a file that is 6 hours long. I finally got used to doing this on the touch, and I am hoping that the interface on the N1 would also allow such fine skipping within such a large file.
3.Is it any good for playing movies?
4.Does the email client let you specify an email check period? The smallest period on the iphone is 15 minutes, but I would like to enter a smaller value to help ease the transition from Blackberry push email if I were to make the switch to the N1.
My message icon on the main screen "menu" vanished. I can no longer receive messages, and all the messages that I had stored vanished, since the message icon disappeared. I seem however, able to send messages by going to the email, but instead of composing email, i compose sms. However, I never get any replies. The message icon disappeared approximately two weeks ago. I went to the 02 store and the technical assistant took my phone for about 30 minutes, and then gave it back to me, saying he had no idea what had happened. He initially thought it had been "hiden" but it appears to be no where!
Just got my 9700. All in all, I like it except the UI is horrific. The majority of the screen is taken up by the green stuff which serves absolutely no purpose and to get to the screen with all the icons I need to click on the BB button. Obviously, this is subjective and maybe people like this green stuff, but can someone tell me if there is a way to bypass this and have the screen with all the icons be my default? Perhaps someone wrote a theme or something like that?
On my BB Bold 9700 the font on the phone number dial line has changed after an OS update and does not match the font used on all apps on the device. Note I am only referencing the phone number input line Originally the font was the same as all other apps including other text display in the phone mode.
Is there a way to put operator logo instead of just text on the current network? Mine just say "AT&T" and when I had my iphone there was a way to put at&t globe logo next to the word.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the activation required at the top of the main menu screen? I am using a rogers sim card, the phone works and all. Its just the activation required I wanna get rid of.
I've had my BlackBerry Bold 9700 for more than 3 months.Lately, the icon's been getting stuck on my Main Screen. So, I always ended up uninstalling and reinstalling, and the problem would always get fixed. But last time I did that, my BlackBerry Messenger disappeared..I tried everything!..I looked through every single folder, ticked Show All, but nothing,I also went to Explore, showed hidden files, there was nothing I tried rebooting, deleting and reinstalling, also nothing..I also went on Desktop Manager, checked the Application Loader, and it's there, it's ticked.I checked Options > Applications > Add-on, and I can see that the BlackBerry Messenger is installed (Research In Motion Limited, version 5.0.1.38).My Device Software is updated, and when I check for updates, it says no updates available.I tried Security Wipe, but it's still not there..I tried to backup and restore as well, but nothing's changed
ok i just got my new 9700. how in the world do i move apps from in a folder to the main screen so i do not have to hunt them down everytime i want to use them.
How can I move icons to the main screen on Bold 9900 device so when I turn on the device the icons appear. Currently, I have to touch arrow at bottom middle of screen and swipe up to have the icons appear.
i've had this happen to my 8900, and thought there was something wrong with the phone, but after doing a official update from t-mobile on mt 9700 the same thing happens. whe doing a battery pull and the phone reboots. only on the main screen (the screen with all the apps and folders) the screen is completely blank or white and the only way i can see the folders or apps is by highlighting them. only happened after i updated it and only happens when doing a battery pull, once i reset the wall paper it will be fine until i do another battery pull. i already uninstalled and reinstalled my blackberry desktop and try to reload and that didn't fix it. anyone had this issue or know how to fix it.
Somehow I have lost the icon for email messages. I can receive email, and when i receive one, I can see the list of other emails received. When i then exit the email list, i cannot find it since the icon is missing.
If you are on the Home page and you slide to the right-hand window there are four icons; The first is the "wireless" connection icon. The second is the standard 'Bluetooth' iconThe third icon looks like a satellite dish. The fourth icon is the sound control icon.
After software upgrade (34.001) i see two OVI STORE icons in main menu. One works perfectly the other unfortunately doesnt work at all. How to delete doubled icon from main menu?
