I cannot find my BBM icon, it's not on my screen. I've downloaded the programme a few times and the icon still does not apper, although every time I download the programme it tells me that I already have BBM.....where's the Icon gone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.

I bought and used this Blackberry new in South Korea with SK Telecom, never any issues.but now im back in the US and am wanting to unlock and use it here.the only problem is that i cant find the IMEI number anywhere.when i try *#06# it comes up and says "unsupported file"and options> status shows only:
signal
battery
file free
PIN
IP address
now there IS a white sticker under the battery with a barcode and appears to be 15 digits long, BUT it has a few letters mixed with the numers and something tells me thats not it?
I reset my blackberry to factory settings using the methods given in this forum for a diff model. the operation was sucessful however after the reset I cant find the software for GPS in my phone. please help. I have a blackberry 9000 bold.

The OS (system software) is now version 5.0.0.822.Since upgrading, several things are working better than they have in a long while. However, I can't find my visual voicemail. Am I overlooking it, is it unsupported, or is there something I need to install or change to bring it back?

Doesn't matter which website it is. Very sporadic. Will load one minute, then when requesting a moment later will show above display. Very unreliable to a point of being useless. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.

View 8 Replies View Relatedso after updated I have been having a few brain scratchers going on, and this is the latest.the little 4 square symbol next to 3G that is ALWAYS on for me, has now disappeared but i am still able to send emails and BBM (which I shouldnt be if the symbol is not there).how is this possible?? is anyone else noticing this?
im so confused and getting a bit irritated with the release...
So obviously my text message icon is gone, i tried "show all" and going into message options and changed email/sms to seperate. But it hasent done anything! Ive changed my themese changed between theme controlled and seperate, and still nothing, i did show all atleast 10 times and it still hasent shown up.

I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any).Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue?Is there something going on with BIS? We spent an hour on the phone to AT&T support with no help. The icon is gold round with gridlines as latitude and longitude. The number "1" is beside it. It is at the top to the right of the email icon. I have a screen capture of it.

Ever since then I have had the notification icon displaying the number 2 with the bb icon on my front screen. So now when I have two new messages it shows 4 and after reading the two it continues to display the two messages that don't exist.

But last time I did that, my BlackBerry Messenger disappeared I tried everything!
I looked through every single folder, ticked Show All, but nothing I also went to Explore, showed hidden files, there was nothing I tried rebooting, deleting and reinstalling, also nothing I also went on Desktop Manager, checked the Application Loader, and it's there, it's ticked I checked Options > Applications > Add-on, and I can see that the BlackBerry Messenger is installed (Research In Motion Limited, version 5.0.1.38) My Device Software is updated, and when I check for updates, it says no updates available I tried Security Wipe, but it's still not there I tried to backup and restore as well, but nothing's changed What am I missing?Do I have to downgrade?
