so after updated I have been having a few brain scratchers going on, and this is the latest.the little 4 square symbol next to 3G that is ALWAYS on for me, has now disappeared but i am still able to send emails and BBM (which I shouldnt be if the symbol is not there).how is this possible?? is anyone else noticing this?

I don't know if this has anything to do with the recent BIS 3.0 update, but my E-Mail Setup Icon disappeared. I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any).Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue?Is there something going on with BIS? Perhaps an upgrade rollout?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy bb contact list just disappeared without no warning. my friends called me to say i have a new pic profile (some african looking dude with a profile message saying "atlas the great") on there phones. they gave me the pin for that profile but it was also diff. from the pin on my phone. i restored from my backup but the same pic and pin appeared on there phones again. after i re-invited everybody, my original profile pic appeared. i'm worried that this might happen again so i hope somebody can shed some light on this for me. phone. my service provider can't help me, when i called.

In message-box, I couldn't see any sms here,but only emails and mms. It will show a list about short messages when i press(alt+s), but any message can't be open, just a list. I have tried v6.0.0.593/680/743, but it doesn't be fixed. I can only wipe the phone , but several days later,It will repeat. no BIS/BES with my phone.

I have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.

Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).

I've tried taking the battery out for 30 seconds, finding service books (it won't let me send), and i've tried checking if it was hidden, but i didn't know how to check that on the 9780.
