I currently have a blackberry bold 9700, I downloaded blackberry app world and I worked perfectly but once I connected it to my laptop the app world disappeared and know I can not download anything know, but the blackberry app world is still on my application list!Anyone out there can help me getting the icon back so I can start down loading things?
View 10 RepliesI cannot find the BB App World icon. I think it disappeared after I downloaded the latest version. I have deleted and re-downloaded. I have looked in every folder. I have downloaded and replaced the existing version. I have re-booted by taking the battery out, etc. The software is in my applications. I have gone through every folder clicking on show all also.

I few days back I updated my Blackberry Application World to 3.1.0.60 but since then I am unable to locate my Application world icon on my home screen.I checked my entire bb and even hidden files but its nowhere to be found.It shows in the installed applications list but nowhere in the blackberry. I even tried reinstalling it several times but still the problem is persistent.

In message-box, I couldn't see any sms here,but only emails and mms. It will show a list about short messages when i press(alt+s), but any message can't be open, just a list. I have tried v6.0.0.593/680/743, but it doesn't be fixed. I can only wipe the phone , but several days later,It will repeat. no BIS/BES with my phone.

Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).

I just lost my BB App World icon after doing the recommended update to version 1.1.0.35. I downloaded it twice but the icon is nowhere to be found. I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. I have software version v5.0.0.405 (Platform 5.1.0.112)
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have owned a Black Bold 9700 for a while now and about 2 months ago I switched to a White 9700. I would always get at least one day out of my battery in my black 9700. And I was with my white 9700 as well until about 2 weeks ago.I rarely talk on my phone but I am a heavy user with BBM, text and email and a bit with Facebook which I know uses a lot of battery... I have about 90 contacts on BBM and use it constantly everyday -- chatting with 4 to 5 ppl at a time constantly. However, I'm lucky if my battery lasts from 11am until 5pm anymore. I have tried about 3 different batteries and they all have the same issue. I just upgraded my software from .743 to .862 last night.
And I switched over to a brand new OEM battery 2 days ago. I charged my phone overnight and powered it on at 11am and now at 2:14pm I'm sitting at 75% battery life.I don't have many apps on my phone besides Facebook and Weather Eye. The only apps I ever have running everyday are the ones that have to be running constantly (BBM, Phone, Browser, Messages). I rarely even browse the internet and I don't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled. However, I am always running on 3G.
This is the first time i post a message, being just registered. I'm sorry for posting a question perhaps already posted, but I didn't find a working answer.Even if the app world application is installed, it appears impossible to find the related icon, both on the application, download or application center. But if, from the list of application, i ask to change application, the icon appears in the list.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy app world told me an upgrade was available (3.1.0.58) for my bold 9780. I am using software 6.0.0.294. Once I installed app world upgrade and bbm upgrade the icons disappeared. I've tried reinstalling them, battery pull, all the usual tricks.
