Blackberry app world has completely disappeared from my handset, I've tries re-installing it from the blackberry website and it asks if I want to replace the existing app world!! but where is the existing app world? I say yes than it comes up with a message saying it wont work!

I few days back I updated my Blackberry Application World to 3.1.0.60 but since then I am unable to locate my Application world icon on my home screen.I checked my entire bb and even hidden files but its nowhere to be found.It shows in the installed applications list but nowhere in the blackberry. I even tried reinstalling it several times but still the problem is persistent.

I have downloaded and replaced the existing version. I have re-booted by taking the battery out, etc. The software is in my applications. I have gone through every folder clicking on show all also.

But if, from the list of application, i ask to change application, the icon appears in the list.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am with Virgin Mobile UK and have a Blackberry Curve 9300 I noticed this issue today, all I remember is yesterday installing the newest version of twitter and it rebooting the device. The blackberry messenger icon is missing and the shortcut key on the side was set to BBM, though now it says it isn't set to anything. A contact sent me a messege on bbm but I didn't recieve it even though it came up as delivered. They even pinged me, no vibration no anything! Though when they sent me a PIN it worked.. Though when looking at the applications in the setting menu BBM is still there and when trying to install BBM again, it asked me to replace 5.0 with the newer version. I pressed yes but everytime the device fails to download the newer version of BBM halfway through. I restarted twice and did a dry battery pull and the issue still isn't resolved

I bought the elm phone a few days ago and updated the software. But when i looked at the phone the widgets had completely disappeared. I went into settings - general - shorthcuts but the option to select the widgets was greyed out. Any advice on how to get them back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently I have been getting a problem with my 9700 Blackberry. When I make or receive calls, I can not hear anything out of my handset. The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.
I have a 3GS. Running iOS4. Using MobileMe. Bookmarks bar and menu have completely disappeared. I restored them through iTunes and they worked for awhile. Now they are gone again. The only thing left is the history folder.
