BB Curve :: Messenger Has Completely Disappeared?
Apr 27, 2011I am with Virgin Mobile UK and have a Blackberry Curve 9300 I noticed this issue today, all I remember is yesterday installing the newest version of twitter and it rebooting the device. The blackberry messenger icon is missing and the shortcut key on the side was set to BBM, though now it says it isn't set to anything. A contact sent me a messege on bbm but I didn't recieve it even though it came up as delivered. They even pinged me, no vibration no anything! Though when they sent me a PIN it worked.. Though when looking at the applications in the setting menu BBM is still there and when trying to install BBM again, it asked me to replace 5.0 with the newer version. I pressed yes but everytime the device fails to download the newer version of BBM halfway through. I restarted twice and did a dry battery pull and the issue still isn't resolved

Jun 29, 2012When using my iPhone 4 to do anything like listen to music, watch a video or just using apps, the volume bar disappears from the screen and the sound stops. When I get texts and things sometimes it just vibrates and doesn't make a noise. I know the speakers still work because when I go to the settings and touch the sound bar it makes the test noise to show you how loud it will be.
This problem is the same when using my headphones. I've tried syncing it to my laptop & making sure it has the latest iOS version.

Jan 6, 2012My battery goes completely dead but ONLY after i switch it off for the night. It seems to drain away but is perfectly OK during the day. I bought a new (Blackberry) battery and it does the same thing. Is there ac software fix for this or is my phone (bought from a reputable used hone store) just useless?I was also told that the little dot just inside the phone by the charger is supposed o be gold in colour and of it has turned blue then it means that the phone has water damage?

Aug 22, 2012When I plugged my phone into the computer to charge, an update came up on bb desktop manager - to update to the 6.0 Bundle 2467 - and I began the update. After a few minutes I realized that I should back up my phone before updating but bb desktop wouldn't let me - it said that IT needed to update. So the device software update paused until the desktop update was complete. When it was finished, the device update continued...and I didn't backup.
Somewhere in the middle of the update (after about a half hour) the phone blinked, there was a funny "beep" and a message came up that the update could not continue. The phone had rebooted but was stuck at about 65%. I let it sit for a few minutes, still not moving. Pulled the battery, let it sit for a few minutes like that and re-inserted. Started to reboot, then stalled again at the same spot. Pulled the battery after another few minutes and waited about 15 minutes.
When I put the battery back in, the phone quickly booted up completely...but because the updater stalled mid-update Everything is lost! Contacts, Calendar, Memos. Is there any way at all to recover anything?? Or is all my data lost somewhere in cyberspace? There is a small file, about 5MB called Blackberry Contacts so I thought I could sync the files from there, but I don't know how!
BB Torch :: 9800 Completely Off - Steady Red Light Comes On Then Goes Off
Oct 26, 2011I had my torch 9800 almost a year now and I woke up saturday morning to find it completely off and it was on charge all night, I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. I've also had the battery out for 24 hours and when I put it back in the red light comes on for about 20 seconds (steady not flashing) and the goes off but that's only happened the once other than that I've had no luck. I've left it on charge tried a different battery and it still doesn't work. I've also put by battery in another torch and it works fine.

Jun 12, 2012I bought a new Bb torch 9860 the day before. It was working perfectly fine until this evening. It has now stopped turning off completely which it was doing very well before. Now it goes into a standby - like mode and quickly turns on when the red button is pressed. Earlier it used to take time in loading (I know it's a time saver but what if I want to switch off my phone completely to give it some rest). I am unable to switch it off completely other than by the method of removing it's battery. Also, it had stopped showing recent updates in bbm and was suddenly not playing any media file before this thing happened. These two have now been resolved but the turn off thing still wont work.
