My torch 9860 doesn't boot completely anymore and for that reason, I haven't been able to use it for a long time now. The booting bar loads and gets to somewhere near the end and hooks there after which it never moves again! I've left it booting for over a day and it still didn't boot! I've reloaded the OS severally, even done a downgrade to 7.0 but still, no success.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a new Bb torch 9860 the day before. It was working perfectly fine until this evening. It has now stopped turning off completely which it was doing very well before. Now it goes into a standby - like mode and quickly turns on when the red button is pressed. Earlier it used to take time in loading (I know it's a time saver but what if I want to switch off my phone completely to give it some rest). I am unable to switch it off completely other than by the method of removing it's battery. Also, it had stopped showing recent updates in bbm and was suddenly not playing any media file before this thing happened. These two have now been resolved but the turn off thing still wont work.

Just did an OS upgrade on my 9800 when I saw an upgrade alert on BlackBerry Desktop Software.The OS after upgrade is 6.0 bundle 2342 (v6.0.0.526 platform 6.6.0.195)Now when I run my application to do the voice record (WAV format, not AMR ), I keep getting an error "Requested bitrate is not supported", I tried different bitrate (8000,16000, 44100, 48000....), none of them supported.I used to use bitrate=8000 for recording and it worked, but now it throw above exception.I even change encoding bit from 16 to 8bit, channel from 1 to 2, didn't work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, my phone has been dead for a few days now. I don't know exactly where to begin. I bought my phone online, but has a service warranty last September 10, 2011. It worked fine, just some few minor problems that didn't really bother me until some people noticed it, like the screen twitching as if the pictures are moving. Not as responsive when not in use, would take a couple of minutes before it would light up if I click the buttons. And phone call won't last more than 10 minutes.
Anyway, so two months ago, I had a problem, my phone just freezed and I kept doing a quick pull which everytime it loads and goes on but still keeps on freezing. Then, finally, an error appeared (JVM Error 102) when the BlackBerry Reboot won't completely load anymore (3/4) then if I click reset or do another quick pull, same thing happens. Got annoyed, so didn't really mind my phone for about three days, until finally I had it and just searched online and tried everything and finally got it to work using JL_Cmder! Which was a blessing then, because nothing got erased and was working fine, and the phone call would last more than 10 minutes, too.
But, now, sadly... I think my phone is now officially dead. After four months from having it, same thing happens, it would freeze and just turn off automatically and if I press the buttons it would not respond. The battery percentage was high, more than 50% and I am positive about that, so I was really weirded out when it would not respond when I click the buttons and it would stay black. So, I did a quick pull. It would work, but then same thing would happen, and I'll do another quick pull. Until, finally it went off...... then there another error occured (JVM Error 545), which by searching online, I thought I could fix it easily like JVM Error 102, but I couldn't or was lazy to do so because I had to wipe it off which I don't want to do, or I didn't research enough. So, again, I left it on for a day, to drain the battery I guess or whatever, because the white screen with the JVM Error 102 won't go anywhere and I don't want to remove my battery. So, after an overnight, the next day it just turned black. I could still turn it on, but it would have that sand timer thingy that inverts when it loads (no idea how to explain it), and then red light would turn on, and off then back again to the sand timer. It would restart itself like that even if I don't do anything. So, I removed the battery... then the next day.... it just died. I would charge it and if I hold the end button the red light would come on, and there it will be, even if I leave it for hours. Nothing will happen but that steady red LED light on
I'm having serious problems with my S6. The phone crashes, shuts down and reboots over and over again. Right now thee is no way I can boot the phone without freezing. Even in safe mode and recovery mode the phone freezes.
I had these problems before and returned the phone. They 'flashed' the firmware and checked all the harware (no problems). The phone worked properly for two weeks but then all of a sudden the problems were back.
I want to make backups before I return the phone again but that's simply not possible. If that's not possible I prefer erasing everything somehow, without making any backups. I still have my backups from a couple of weeks ago.
My iPhone will not boot up, and I don't know what did it. My friend said his iPod won't come on because he charged it on a friend's XBOX overnight, and so did I. I really don't know if the XBOX did it, but it's possible. The other day I turned it off to save power, and when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't completely boot up. The Apple logo shows up for about a minute and then the loading symbol comes up and just keeps going and it won't ever get to the lock screen. I've tried to restore it. It won't show up in iTunes so I heard about putting the device in Recovery Mode to make it recognizable. It made it show up, but every time I tried to restore it gave me error codes like 21, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, and 1604. My iPhone was on 5.0.1 and at the Restore page in iTunes that only had options to Update and Restore. Update was grayed out, and there should be an update to 5.1. Then today when I tried restoring it the message at the top was stuck on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple..." iTunes isn't frozen on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple," it just won't say anything else. I've tried everything and nothing works. I've even tried holding the Power and Home buttons forever, and still, nothing works.

However it spontaneously turned off and I could never turn it on again (I was not handling it in a harsh way at all, just turning it off and on and putting into discoverable mode several times).I thought maybe it's the battery so I chraged it and I had hope since the red LED came on indicating charge, and I waited til it went green. Ok so when I plug my Droid 2 R2D2 edition into my laptop, nothing hppens. It used to work fine, but now when I try absolutely nothing happens. It doesn't make the noise indicating I've just plugged soemthing into the USB drive, I've tried both USB drives, it works with my PC so I know it's not the cord, plus I use the same cord connected to an outlet adapter to charge it and it works fine but all of the sudden when I plug it into my laptop I get nothing. It doesn't charge, I go to my computer it doesn't show up, I scan for devices I get nothing, I've tried updating motocast and motohelper, and it still doesn't work but like i said it used to work fine, plus this is a brand new phone i recently got a replacment and even after i got the replacment phone it worked fine the first like 20 times I connected it to my laptop, nothings changed. I've got a Dell Inspirion running Windows 7 if that makes a difference but as I've stated nothings changed since the last few times it worked successfully.
