Aug 31, 2011When plugged in my charing icon doesn't show the lighting bolt to verify charging.The battery itself just stays at the very low red icon.

Mar 31, 2015Today I tried to sideload the OTA update to Android 5.0.1 (because my Nexus is root and it would not let me update normally), but there was an error saying missing file in system.img. So, after that, I got stuck at Google logo screen. I entered stock recovery (I never installed a custom recovery) and wiped cache, with no luck. Did a data wipe. No luck. So I tried flashing the factory image for Android 5.0, but right after flashing the bootloader, the device turned off (or it appeared to), the script showed "waiting for device", and the phone never came back. Now it won't turn on at all. I don't know what to do ...

Jan 17, 2012I misplaced my phone and the battery drained down to zero and shut itself off. I plugged it into charge about an hour ago (into a wall, not a computer). A red light came on for about thirty seconds and then shut off. The battery charging icon that is supposed to appear hasn't. I unplugged it and tried again a minute ago, and its the same thing. It doesn't turn on or show any sign of being responsive exept for that thirty seconds of solid red light.

Dec 10, 2015I'm well aware that these aren't flip phones and especially with some of the beefier hardware (ie. 950) it takes a while to get the phone to boot if you let it die completely. Until this point that "while" has usually been a few minutes. I let my battery completely die for the first time since owning my 950 and it's been plugged into the wall for about 30 minutes and still won't boot. I just get the empty battery icon.

My "text message" icon recently disappeared from the "All" menu. It was seemingly replaced by a second "contacts" icon. Luckily I had it in the "favorites" menu as well so I can still access them. However it is annoying to have to flip to the favorites menu just to read a text message.
I have since set it so text messages go to the general messages inbox, however I would prefer to get the icon back. I have tried pulling the battery to no avail.

That is, normally it dims after about 20 seconds, then goes off a few seconds after that - like it seems it should. But after some hours of use it will dim after a prescribed time period but never go dark unless I tap the power button. If I shut down the phone and start it up it seems to work properly again for a period of time before it starts exhibiting the same behavior.
