My "text message" icon recently disappeared from the "All" menu. It was seemingly replaced by a second "contacts" icon. Luckily I had it in the "favorites" menu as well so I can still access them. However it is annoying to have to flip to the favorites menu just to read a text message.
I have since set it so text messages go to the general messages inbox, however I would prefer to get the icon back. I have tried pulling the battery to no avail.
my toddler granddaughter deleted my text message icon. I tried the suggestions that others said worked for them (ie removing the battery to force a reboot while the phone is turned on and trying to unhide the icon). Neither one worked for me. Even doing ALT S doesn't let me look at my text messages.
I have received two (2) different text message with only the sender address and the message is blank....they will not delete. cannot highlight message field and no option to delete only to close application
After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I contacted Sprint to find out if the style had voice to text and they were not sure but suggested I try this side. if there is a download or setting where I may send text messages with voice.
Message inbox icon (notification/ indicator) for Text message does not appear on my Torch 9860 when I receive text message (the little tiny text message bubble icon).I get it for email and blackberry messenger (little envelop for email, blue bubble for messenger) but nothing for text message.
At some point today my text message icon has disappeared. Thinking that I somehow moved it to another folder I started opening everything with no luck. I've reset the phone and pulled up my BB Protect. It's gone! and now because of my messing around my Help file won't open.
My text message icon just disappeared from my desktop screen and I cannot find it No way to discern my text message from emails and no easy way to send texts without going through my directory.
So obviously my text message icon is gone, i tried "show all" and going into message options and changed email/sms to seperate. But it hasent done anything! Ive changed my themese changed between theme controlled and seperate, and still nothing, i did show all atleast 10 times and it still hasent shown up.
Somehow I have deleted my text message icon by addcident. Supposedly this is not even possible when I ask my friends, but it definitely isn't hidden as I've gone through all the instructions to 'show all' and still can't find it.

I've had my Blackberry for a few weeks and it's been fine, however the battery went flat yesterday and when I recharged it and switched it back on the text message icon had dissappeared, so I have no way of seeing text messages. I also don't seem to be receiving texts now either!

recently I was texting a lot while receiving text messages at the same time. And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear.The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it. The icon won't go away I tried restarting my phone many times its stil there. Now when I send out a text message I don't know when it is done sending because the icon never disapears.
For a while now I can only view text messages from the "message" icon on my phone. I used to be able to view 2 different email accounts. The only way I can see my emails now is from the little window just below where the time is displayed.

so I notice when I get a new blackberry bold 9650 I notice that I could receive a cool looking text message icon. However, I need to figure out how could I transfer all my data.The blackberry desk manager never did work on my old phone witch. After plugging in the new phone on my PC it asked if I wanted to transfer my data... So I did.I realized that when I was receiving text messages they were looking more like email icons. I tried to look up in my options and I can't find anything.
When I try to access my text icon I get an error message that says "uncaught exception: java lang,. Index Outofbounds exception" I have no clue what this means or how to fix it - but it is very annoying. My Torch 9800 has developed a weird problem with the text icon on the home screen. When I tap on it, my desktop messages open instead?it used to work fine when I first got the phone. The only way I can write a text is to select a contact from the contacts list and then select to send that person a text message. This all works but is a pain. I'm sure this is just finger trouble and a setting has been changed somewhere but where.

The text message icon on my blackberry bold 9900 disappeared suddenly. Perhaps, it must been inadvertently deleted or moved to another folder. However, I've tried searching for it without any success. how to get the text message icon restored?
