Motorola Droid Razr :: Duplicate Text Message-speech To Text?
Jun 12, 2012Droid Razr 16, google speech app - when using speech app to dictate text mesage, and more than one sent to same person in short period of time (5-10 minutes), the first text message is resent rather than the second text message which has been dictated and appears in the confirmation/edit window. Verizon Wireless tech support was stumped, and no help in the online motorola tech support either.

Feb 15, 2012Why is there no way to look at your phone and tell how many text messages you have with out having to go into you text message? I had a samsung charge that had this feature and it was great option. When you are getting emails all day and calendar appointments notification showing up. It is easy to miss text messages notification.

Jul 31, 2012When connecting a Droid Razr Maxx to our Mercedes via bluetooth, we get a text message import error every time whether or not we have any text messages on the phone. Any ideas? The dealer worked on this today and found that all the other phones which were owned by employees worked without this message.

Jul 11, 2012Does anyone know a way to get your own picture to show up in your text conversations with another person? I've tried adding myself to my contacts and that didn't work. When I click on the icon, all I get is "contact doesn't exist". I used to be able to do this with my old phone.

I never had this issue on my iPhone. Is there any way to disable this feature? I dislike it a great deal! So much so it will curtail my text messaging significantly

Sep 5, 2012just reporting an issue I have noticed with ICS on my Droid RAZR. If I have a text message conversation open and receive a new message from the same contact, the notification icon pops up, I'm properly notified, but then it won't clear without backing out of the conversation to the higher level text messaging section. I have had success a few times with tapping on the new message to clear the notification icon, but not all the time. This was not an issue I noticed with the previous version of Android.

Sep 14, 2012I have tried doing a search but am unable to find an answer as to where, or if, the icon legend can be found on my phone. I have looked at this description HERE, but what I am seeing is not on this list.This morning my Verizon service went out - it appears to be an area-wide thing because other people on Verizon have no cell service either (yes, I paid my bill!). Now I have a grayed out triangle where the bars normally are with a little blue triangle flashing above it. It may mean roaming, however it doesn't look like what the page shows for roaming, which is a blue R above the network bars.So, is this information in the phone or only in the manual? and, does anyone have a clue as to what that icon means? I would take a screenshot but as I was typing this it went back to the red circle with a slash through it, indicating no service. I keep getting a message that tells me there is no CDMA service located, do I want to connect Global?

Nov 3, 2012I love that Motorola has built in unread counts to certain icons (email, text message, hone, calendar, etc.) but I noticed that there isn't an unread count for the gmail icon.Was this done on purpose? Or am I missing a settings option where I can turn this on?Also, I don't know if the calendar app on Moto phones did this before, but it's a nice touch that the icon changes with the current date.

Mar 19, 2012My wife and I both have the Razr Maxx. On day one, we attached our Google Voice accounts to our new Verizon accounts. A couple of days ago, a Verizon voicemail notification showed up on my wife's phone, my phone is working fine.
When I click on the notfication icon, it dials *86 and I just get the voicemail greeting from Voice and it allow me to leave a voicemail, which is very strange. The icon "New Voicemail(1)" will not go away. There is no delete option. I tried hitting 7 in call to delete the message. I even tried to force close the app and clear cache. I have searched Google and several phone forums. I even unregistered her Voice and registered it again.
Motorola Droid Razr :: 4G Icon Does Not Disappear On Wifi?
Jul 3, 2012Every time I connect to Wifi, the 4G icon doesn't disappear... I can't tell if 4G is still connected. I can't be using cell data while on Wifi because I have the limited plan on Verizon. The only way I could get it to disappear was to go into Wifi settings and disable mobile data. How do I get it to not use 4G or make the icon disappear when I'm connected to Wifi?

My apologies if it is there already.Having the issue that has basically kept me from using smart actions, i had smart actions setup to disable background data when the screen is off, not charging and no movement is detected. The problem is when i turn on back the screen and begin to use the device the 4g icon stays white the whole time, and the data connection does not kick in at all. I usually end up having to put the device to sleep or airplane mode or rebooting all together to restore the data connection

Feb 11, 2012Noticed lately that when I enable my Wifi connection that the 3G icon will stay active at the same time as the Wifi icon (I live in Northern New Jersey, no 4G for me). In this state, the Wifi icon is blue and the 3G icon is white. Usually when you activate wifi and it is done connecting the 3G icon goes away completely. Was thinking maybe one of my installed apps hosed this up. Tried running the phone in safe mode to see if it would change anything, but the condition persisted. Not a big deal, wifi works fine.......it's more of a problem with the owner (me) who can't seem to let things like this go

Nov 17, 2012I am using Droid Razr ICS for some reason today none of my text messages will delete. I am using the Razrs text messaging app when I try to delete I get all the correct prompts to delete any message. When I select the last prompt to delete, you go back to the message list. The actual message appears to be deleted but you still see all the people or group you sent to or received from, which makes no sense to me. I have tried deleting and rebooting the device no change.
