Jan 5, 2013Is there any way to text to my Groups? I used this religiosly with my DroidX, but can't for the life of me see how to do it with my new Razr Maxx HD

Motorola Droid Razr :: App Groups: Also Going Backward In Functionality?
Jun 30, 2012Noted previously that the "Favorites" widget now requires extra steps to manage which contacts are in or out of the widget and where they appear.
This retro less-intuitive-but-more-steps disease seems also to have struck Apps Groups. TPTB that they assign the designer for the folder replacement to manage the whole GUI. Or at least give her/him veto over going backwards.
Don't mean to be snotty, but when my 2012 phone has built-in apps from 1995, I become despondent and irritable.

Motorola Droid Razr :: Apps Are Removed From Custom Groups After Updates
May 29, 2012I am currently running the latest OS, 2.3.6, on my Razr. I have recently noticed that, after an app is updated, if I had it in a custom group in the app tray, it is removed after the update. At first I thought that this occured when I had to manually accept the update because of different permissions, but I noticed that any update will remove it. For an example, I know the latest updates to Blastr, Dvice, and the Discover mobile app were all removed from the groups.

Oct 25, 2012After the ICS update my email groups won't function. When i type in the group name it doesn't appear as an option for me to select. This is incredibly frustrating. What's more, the only way you can use the group is by navigating to contacts, scrolling over to groups, then pushing the group, then clicking "send email" this would be fine if i always selected the group before sending the email, but my primary use case is taking a picture and sending it to a distribution group (pictures of my kid sent to grandparents and family every day). When I take the picture then click the button to attach it to an email, then try to type in the group name, it doesn't appear.

Verizon Wireless tech support was stumped, and no help in the online motorola tech support either.

Nov 17, 2012I am using Droid Razr ICS for some reason today none of my text messages will delete. I am using the Razrs text messaging app when I try to delete I get all the correct prompts to delete any message. When I select the last prompt to delete, you go back to the message list. The actual message appears to be deleted but you still see all the people or group you sent to or received from, which makes no sense to me. I have tried deleting and rebooting the device no change.

Motorola Droid Razr HD :: Auto-fit Text To Screen?
Dec 12, 2012I recently upgraded to the Razr MAXX HD from a HTC Droid Incredible. On the HTC Dinc, when reading an article or something on the phone, if you pinched to zoom making the text larger, it would automatically reformat to fit the width of the phone, so you didn't have to scroll right/left to read the entire line. The MAXX HD doesn't seem to do this. If I pinch and zoom in on text, it just makes the text bigger but doesn't reformat it to fit the width of the phone, so I have to scroll left/right to read the entire line.

May 28, 2012I have the Razr Maxx thru Verizon.I have a husband and wife setup as separate contacts but same last names.If I use voice and say "Linda" it brings up her contact. Dec 1, 2012What is the size limitation for these attachments? I recorded a 23 second clip in MMS mode which totaled 368KB. It won't go. I had one rep. tell me the limit was 15 seconds regardless of size. I thought I had read on VZ site it was 500K but may have dreamed that.
Or is it neither size or length but something else? And finally is it the same for GMail?

Feb 15, 2012Why is there no way to look at your phone and tell how many text messages you have with out having to go into you text message? I had a samsung charge that had this feature and it was great option. When you are getting emails all day and calendar appointments notification showing up. It is easy to miss text messages notification.

Jul 13, 2012We have two razr's both have all the same apps. We use chompsms as our texting app. On one phone it shows on the lock screen (Pic below) on the other it does not. BOTH have the stock app unchecked for default app, neither have disabled the stock app because it causes MMS problems. how one of us has it on our home lock screen and the other can't get it to do that? We didn't go to any settings to do it. BOTH of us had to do a master reset on our phones since the ICS update.
I've compared our settings and they seem to match it's really weird.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Delay/Not Receiving Text Messages?
Jul 20, 2012I have a Droid Razr XT912. All of a sudden, I'm not receiving any text messages!! Messaging worked fine when I first got the phone (a few weeks ago), then a couple of days ago, there was a huge delay in getting texts (of a few hours to an entire day), and now, no text messages whatsoever (I know for sure that three separate people have texted me a few times and I've gotten nothing!). I dont' think it's a service issue, as I move around quite a lot and the messages haven't ever arrived (plus, I called my provider and they said everything was fine on their end, but I suppose that's what they always say).
Not sure what the problem is. I haven't made any big changes to the phone since when I received text messages without any problem. Calls/e-mails/updates/apps/etc.still working fine, but curiously, my weather widget stopped updating about a week ago, and still refuses to work, even though my coverage is allegedly fine.Ideas? I'm desperate as most of my communication is done through text.or what it's worth, I live in China and my service provider is China Telecom. The phone has been unlocked and rooted

Apr 12, 2012I have been having problems receiving/sending text messages since I got my Droid Razr in January 2012. I ramdonly don't receive all of my text messages or the ones that I sent out....I never had this problem with any of my previous DROID phones. I got my phone replaced twice, sim card, factory reset, etc....still having the same issue. My data connectivity keeps dropping as well. Has anyone else experience this same issue with this particular phone.
