May 20, 2012I have created two family groups consisting of phone contacts.
How can I add the Group to the Favorites menu on the home page so I can send a quick text to a group?

Jan 3, 2012When I set up, or attempt to, the favorites I can't get past 10 contacts in the 20 boxes provided. I press the + sign to add contacts, but when I press additional contacts they get inserted over some of the existing contacts thereby removing the others. When I press "favorites" at the top of the screen all of my choices appear on a list, but they don't all fill the 20 boxes.

Jun 30, 2012Noted previously that the "Favorites" widget now requires extra steps to manage which contacts are in or out of the widget and where they appear.
This retro less-intuitive-but-more-steps disease seems also to have struck Apps Groups. TPTB that they assign the designer for the folder replacement to manage the whole GUI. Or at least give her/him veto over going backwards.
Don't mean to be snotty, but when my 2012 phone has built-in apps from 1995, I become despondent and irritable.

Sep 19, 2012Prior to ICS, on the Favorites Screen in the Phone App, the people who I called regularly were only listed once, even if I had called them on different #s listed in their contact profile. Under ICS, people are listed multiple times equivalent to each number of theirs dialed. This has the effect of getting fewer people listed on the Favorites screen. Is there a way to customize this so it goes back to the pre-ICS approach of only listing an individual once?

I have recently noticed that, after an app is updated, if I had it in a custom group in the app tray, it is removed after the update. At first I thought that this occured when I had to manually accept the update because of different permissions, but I noticed that any update will remove it. For an example, I know the latest updates to Blastr, Dvice, and the Discover mobile app were all removed from the groups.

Oct 25, 2012After the ICS update my email groups won't function. When i type in the group name it doesn't appear as an option for me to select. This is incredibly frustrating. What's more, the only way you can use the group is by navigating to contacts, scrolling over to groups, then pushing the group, then clicking "send email" this would be fine if i always selected the group before sending the email, but my primary use case is taking a picture and sending it to a distribution group (pictures of my kid sent to grandparents and family every day). When I take the picture then click the button to attach it to an email, then try to type in the group name, it doesn't appear.

Feb 20, 2012Love my RAZR Maxx however something I've noticed (I've had Moto Droid/Droid2 and HTC Incredible) is that when scrolling (like email or web pages) my finger must barely touch the home button (or the back/menu/search buttons) and my scrolling gets interrupted by the button function. It seems much more sensitive than any of my other phones.Anyone else have this issue or am I the only klutz? Maybe there is a setting to change sensitivity but can't find it.

Nov 6, 2012I've got the Droid RAZR HD MAXX, and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing stuttering on the home screen. Specifically, it happens when swiping to the Quick Settings and Manage Pages screens. After I swipe once to the screen, it seems to be smooth when going back and forth, it's just the initial showing of the screen when I notice it. Then going to different apps and then back to the home screen, I'll see it happen again. It's not a deal breaker, but it just makes the phone seem "slower" than it actually is. Also, the Circles widget seems to look choppy at some points as well, during the weather animation or when flipping the clock.

Dec 26, 2011Something real strange happens when I turn my phone off and on again or if it reboots for any reason.Three (all Android Market apps) of my shortcut icons on the home screen are replaced by a blue generic looking icon. They still work as shortcut though. The way to fix this is to delete them from the home screen and then set up a new shortcut: The app icon shows up as expected.......... until the next time I turn off my Razr. Annoying to say the least.

Dec 19, 2012Have just recently bought a Motorola Razr M which is running stock ICS on Telstra in Australia. I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).

Mar 1, 2012Does anyone know, with stock apps only, is it possible to save a data file to to the homescreen for quick reference? At minimum, I would like a shortcut to the sepecific data file. Example; I use a simple Microsoft word calendar template to do scheduling for the month. I email the file to myself and save it to the messaging folder. Everytime I need to check who is working, etc....I have to go through the "My Files" shortcut, messaging, then the file I need. Nov 29, 2012I was wanting to know if anyone had an issue with the home screen stopping. I have over 800 apps on my phone and wondered if maybe it was that with the app draw trying to refresh and it taking too long. When I did a search people were having this problem with only having 20 or less added apps to their phone. Some even had this problem after having their phone refreshed. I can run the phone for days and use it with no problem and nothing and then out of the blue there it goes. I click the app drawer and the searching circle goes around and round and then the home screen will close and go to the last app or web page I was on and it could be one from a few days ago. I erase all the previous history and when the home screen closes it just refreshes the home screen. The only thing I can do is reboot and wait about 10 or so minutes and its all good till the next time. The question I am wondering is what is causing this. I had someone comment on links or widgets on the homescreen might be causing it. I removed some and it does not happen as much
