Mar 1, 2012For some reason I've lost my text message icon on Blackberry Curve 9360, I've tried all the usual things like turning phone off, menu bar, but I can't find it.

But I have got the following message "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointer Exception". Does this mean anything to anyone and is there an easy way to reinstate the facility?

May 18, 2012At some point today my text message icon has disappeared. Thinking that I somehow moved it to another folder I started opening everything with no luck. I've reset the phone and pulled up my BB Protect. It's gone! and now because of my messing around my Help file won't open.

Jan 15, 2012I've had my Blackberry for a few weeks and it's been fine, however the battery went flat yesterday and when I recharged it and switched it back on the text message icon had dissappeared, so I have no way of seeing text messages. I also don't seem to be receiving texts now either!

Aug 23, 2010After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing

My "text message" icon recently disappeared from the "All" menu. It was seemingly replaced by a second "contacts" icon. Luckily I had it in the "favorites" menu as well so I can still access them. However it is annoying to have to flip to the favorites menu just to read a text message.
I have since set it so text messages go to the general messages inbox, however I would prefer to get the icon back. I have tried pulling the battery to no avail.

And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear.The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it.
